###Chapter 586 Sudden Disaster - Part 5
I heard it and tried to answer, but I could not say a word.
"Ivelle." He was still calling me. I used my feeling to find the source of the sound. I probably wanted to catch it so much that I suddenly had some difficulty breathing.
In a daze, I seemed to open my eyes and saw the shadow standing beside me. I was too familiar with it.
I reached for it and touched the familiar temperature, but I did not have much strength, so I slipped again.
Almost the next second, my hand was suddenly held in return. He held me tightly and called, "Ivelle, I am here!"
It's Jordan Astley's voice.
After hearing his voice, my fear of helplessness dissipated a lot at that moment, and I could not help but feel at ease.
I wanted to nod, but I did not have any strength. I can't even lift my eyelids slowly.
"What's the matter? Why isn't she awake?" Jordan's voice of questioning was heard in my ear, and I could almost think of him frowning to see the doctor.
"She's out of danger. It is no big deal. She's just too tired now. She will wake up when she has a good rest." That was what the doctor said.
I was conscious, but I just can't open my eyes. I don't have much strength.
When I heard footsteps in the room, someone should have left. After a while, I could feel my hands wrapped and my fingers clasped.
I can hear a low voice in my ear, "Ivelle, you've been sleeping for two days. Do not sleep anymore. Wake up!"
I wanted to open my mouth. I wanted to open my eyes, but I can't do it.
There was something wet on my dry mouth. It could be cotton swabs. After a while, I could feel my face, hands, and feet wiped with a towel.
I was so sleepy that I couldn't help it, so I fell asleep once again.
I had been dreaming on and off all the time. When I opened my eyes again and gradually saw everything around me clearly, I was still a little confused.
A man was lying by the bed and he seemed to be asleep. His long black hair was a little greasy.
"Jordan!" When I opened my mouth, my voice was still hoarse, but it was good to be able to make a sound.
Words fell and I cannot help but laugh. I am not dead, but also well and alive. This kind of feeling was really good!
He held my hands tightly. He straightened up, his face was particularly haggard, and a lot of beards appeared on his chin. I reached out to touch it, and it was prickly.
I cannot help laughing, "Just shaved it off, it will grow back."
He held my hand, a pair of black misty eyes looked at me tightly. He seemed to be too happy, eyes with drops of water, and wasn't able to speak.
It took him a long time to say, "You're awake!" There were choking and fear in his voice.
I nodded and smiled at the corners of my mouth, and I couldn't help feel rested in my entire life.
"It's nice to see you again!" He held my hand tightly.
He got up, held me in his arms, took the water cup to one side, and fed me. The joy could not be hidden in his voice. "You will see me every day from now on!"
After a few sips, I moved my head. My body could be switched freely, and my throat was much more comfortable. I could not help look at him and say, "That would turn you into a villain. You will put me in your pocket so you could see it every day."
Watching me mischievously, he put down the water cup, raised his hand and shaved it on the wing of my nose, and said, "I'm all in the mood to joke. It looks like it's really good."
He held me as if the tightness of his strong arms was not enough. It was as if he wanted to put my whole being into his arms, hugging me without leaving a gap.
I let him hold me however he wanted. I was lucky to be alive with the unspeakable mixture of joys and sorrows in my heart.
Though there had been mountains and rivers in my life, and I will never leave him again. During those few minutes in the freezer, when I was close to death, my heart and blood told me that in the past days, I should not have wasted his love for me. I should not push him away. I should not have those unnecessary quarrels with him.
I was lucky to meet him in my life.
"Jordan!" I opened my mouth and could not help putting my arms around his neck and looking at him.
He gave a hum and hugged me. His voice was a little hoarse, and his eyes were full of fatigue and joy intertwined with the vicissitudes of life.
I opened my mouth and lovingly uttered, "I love you. I love you very much!" From the first time we met up to now, ten years of marriage, I have never said this sentence to him. From now on I will. I do not know if next time I wouldn't be able to open my mouth and say it.
Anyway, I cannot let myself regret it again.
He looked at me with deep eyes, nodded, took a shallow breath, and kissed me on the forehead. "I must live up to your expectations."
I can't help laughing. It's good to be alive.
Leaning against his arms and enjoying a moment of peace, I suddenly remembered the day it happened and couldn't help but ask, "What on earth happened that day?"
Who would want me dead? With that temperature in the freezer, it will be no more than two hours before I completely lose my vital signs.
If Jordan hadn't appeared in time, I was afraid I would have died.
He hugged me and tightened his arms. "I had dinner with them. I received a call from Grace. When I first arrived at the hospital, I found that you were already gone. So then, I checked the surveillance camera and found out that you had been taken away. There was no monitoring in the morgue. It took some time to find you."
His voice was a little low and vaguely hoarse. I couldn't imagine what it would be like if he found me maybe like frozen seafood in the freezer, stiff and covered with frost.
It could be something else!
Looking up at him, I couldn't help saying, "Did you find out who did it?"
He raised his eyebrows and the temperature in his black eyes was a little low. "Before you had allergies, you ate hairy crabs and latte. Both of which were filled with sesame seeds. I'm not sure if someone set this up in advance."
I frowned subconsciously. I knew I was allergic to sesame, but I never mentioned it, including to Jordan. The only person who knew that I was allergic to sesame was my grandmother.
Before, when I was growing up, I basically did not touch it. But sometimes if I accidentally ate some, I did not have a serious reaction if I ate less. Sesame was originally used as a seasoning, so it did not matter as long as I eat less.
But even so, no one would have expected in advance that I would be allergic. What was suspicious was the situation in the hospital.
That man was obviously trying to kill me. He gave me anesthesia, brought me to the morgue, was all accidental, or was it premeditated?
Thinking of this, I cannot help but smile. "On the bright side, it was thoughtful. He had given it a thorough plan. Rather than give me noodles, then throw my entire whole body as a corpse."
Jordan's face darkened like with a terrible suffocating air said, "It won't happen again."
I leaned in his arms. I knew that he would look into these things. He paused, "If I finally find out who it was, I want to see him!"
Jordan spoke, and the coldness between his black eyes remained the same. "Take good care of your body, and leave this to me. I will take care of it."
