###Chapter 654 Let Her Go And I'll Sign It - Part 3
The words he uttered were praising her but he also sounded sarcastic.
He paused slightly, looked at her, and said, "If I continue not to do anything, will I not only offend the Astley family and the Biden family but also the Weld family this time?"
Ivelle raised her eyebrow and said, "It can be understood this way!"
He sneered and said, "This is a real headache!" After a little reflection, he said, "How can you be so sure that the body found by the police is not Jordan?"
Ivelle didn't react immediately and a moment passed before she understood his question. She replied, "Although the corpse had the same body built with Jordan, my instinct tells me that he is not that person."
He asked, "Can you tell that the corpse was not your husband based on instinct only?"
After she thought about it, Ivelle nodded and said, "Jordan is my husband. I know him very well. It was not him, I'm sure!"
He gave her a look. He was obviously not satisfied with her words, he paused and said, "Well, anyway, didn't your father give you much staff? You could ask them to check the whereabouts of Kenneth during this time in Las Vegas and send people to take a look. If you would find a place that was very tightly guarded, you could consider looking at that place a little bit. Maybe Jordan was locked up in one of those places. However, according to what I knew about Kenneth, he has been chased around like a lost dog. He did not have much strength and resources to just kidnap your husband."
As he said that, he looked at her slowly and said, "I was thinking, maybe the mastermind of Jordan's disappearance is not Kenneth. Think about it. Is there anything wrong with him recently or is there anything different on Jordan's actions before the accident?"
Ivelle pursed her lips, she thought for a moment, looked at him, and said, "What happened before the accident?" She remembered that Grace gave her a message before the accident, she said that William was in Las Vegas. She asked her to watch William's every move.
When Ivelle thought of William, she looked at Timothy and felt a little more hopeful. "We could still get help. William, the young master of the Preston family was also in Las Vegas. Maybe we could find him and ask about the whereabouts of Jordan."
Timothy was silent for a moment and he seemed to be thinking. When he saw that Ivell was calling William, he suddenly snatched the phone away. He looked at her like she was an idiot and said, "Your mind is full of shit."
Ivelle was a little confused by him and she frowned at him. "Why are you like this?"
He said angrily, "It is still not clear whether he is a friend or an enemy. Why did you call him immediately without thinking first? Jordan's brain was kicked by a donkey, he took a fancy to an idiot woman like you which really lowered his IQ."
This man had a poisonous mouth and he really had no bottom line at all.
Ivelle stared at him and said, "Can you explain it to me? Why can't I ask William for help?"
He looked at her and said with some disgust, "Both the Preston family and Kenneth have been staring at this piece of fat meat in the import and export of Las Vegas for a long time. Like your husband, they all want to win this project with an annual profit of several billion dollars. People die for money and birds die for food. What do you think William is doing in Las Vegas? Do you think that he just came to travel and see the scenery? He is a busy person."
His words enlightened her for a moment and Ivelle felt somewhat overwhelmed by too much information. It took a while for her to say, "So, you mean that William may have something to do with Jordan's accident?"
He pursed his lips. "If this kind of situation could be solved by guessing, your husband would have been rescued a long time ago."
In business affairs, indeed as Timothy said, in the face of interests, there would be no permanent enemies and there would no permanent friends. They were all businessmen, their purpose was to make money and other things were only secondary.
Father Gates handed over this business with an annual profit of several billion dollars to Jordan and if anyone wanted a share, human life would be negligible compared with innumerable money.
"What am I going to do next?" Ivelle asked as she gradually calmed down. The train of thought in her head was slowly becoming clear.
He looked at her and said, "Call your father's people and ask him to find a way to find out the whereabouts of William in the past two days, as well as the people he has seen recently. Ask them to look also in the Preston family businesses in Las Vegas including factories, everywhere."
Ivelle nodded. Joseph was just outside Timothy's villa. She was about to go out to find Joseph when she was stopped by Timothy. Ivelle looked at him with some doubts.
He frowned with a bit of helplessness. "You'd better call him now and tell you him not to rest easy. You are Jordan's wife. Do you think they will not give you any trouble if Jordan is truly gone? You should know that once Jordan is gone, all the assets in his name will be allocated by you and then all of them will be targeting you."
Ivelle was surprised by his words and she broke out in a cold sweat. In hindsight, she took her cell phone out of her pocket and called Joseph. After she finished the call, Ivelle looked at him and asked, "What am I going to do now?"
He looked at her and said, "If you don't want to die, then you can go to the hotel with your father's people. If you're afraid of death, stay here and wait for information about Jordan's whereabouts before you plan."
Ivelle naturally chose the latter. She looked at him and said, "Is it convenient for me to live here?"
He uttered a few words, "It's not convenient but do you have any other choice?"
Ivelle didn't think so.
Timothy's villa was very large. She was placed in the room next to him. Joseph checked it after he answered his phone. Ivelle had to sit and wait in the villa because there was no better way but to wait.
But Timothy, who seemed to be very free, went directly to the swimming pool behind the villa to swim after the video conference in the study
There were only a few people in the big villa and it was natural for her to be lonely. She couldn't sit still so she had to go downstairs to the yard. Ivelle was a little surprised when she saw a vegetable garden in the backyard.
How would a playboy like Timothy be in the mood to grow vegetables in the yard and raise them so well that there was a circle of flowers scattered around the wall in the backyard? This layout obviously didn't look like it was made by domestic servants.
The cucumbers in the vegetable garden were fully ripe and a few chubby cucumbers were hanging on the vines. The leaves were withered and were scorched yellow. The trees' branches were about to die. Only a few cucumbers looked particularly fat. Ivelle thought that it was because no one had eaten them and that they let these fruits grew so big.
