Chapter 17

It’s almost 3AM and I couldn’t sleep.

Why?

Because the pervert tricked me.

He waited at the right time before he pounced on me. I didn’t suspect that he was behaving like a good boy. We took a bath- separately of course, and changed. He only wore his boxers since he had nothing to change on. Right after the lights off and he snuggled closer to me, not a second longer, the crime happened.

He’s literally insatiable.

So now I’m staring at the ceiling wondering what I have got myself into. I was having an affair with a most sought out bachelor and a billionaire. Wow. Not to mention he had the worst personality ever. We were just the total polar opposite yet we behave like rabbits in bed.

I turned my head to the side and saw that he was sleeping soundly. This asshole. Of course he could fall asleep when he pounded me like a fucking meat. Not only he was handsome but he was amazing in bed as well. The world sure is unfair.

I don’t know when I fell asleep but the thoughts running through my head managed to shut me down eventually.

“Hmmn.” I moaned. There was a tingling feeling that travelled down to my core. The feeling woke me up. I saw Nile looking down at me. His elbow propped up on the pillow while his head was leaning to his hand.

I looked down realizing his other hand was playing with my breast, tweaking my nipple as if he was leisurely playing with it.

I scowled as I slapped his hand away. “What the hell! Ugh! You’re so annoying.” I turned my back on him and covered myself with the blanket reaching my head. Nile chuckled, amused at me.

I tried to close my eyes and summoned the sleep back but Nile kept sticking his body to mine while his annoying hands roaming around my body, especially down towards my sex.

“Stop.” I whined. “I’m trying to sleep here.”

He then thrusts his fingers. My eyes opened wide at the contact. I tried to scowl at him but my eyes rolled in the back of my head instead.

“Fuck.” I reach for his face, the other wrapped around his neck, bringing him down to kiss me. If he’s this good, who am I to deny him?

“You’re mine.” He whispered between our kiss.

I pulled away quickly. “What?” Did I hear him right? Did he say what I thought he said?

“Nothing.” He reached for my lips again but I evaded.

“You clearly said something.”

He stares at me for a moment before opening his mouth. “You’re beautiful.”

I stare at him dumbfounded. I chortle. “I thought you didn’t know how to joke.”

“I don’t.” He deadpanned.

“You’re so beautiful. I have never seen anyone so beautiful my whole life.”

I inhaled deeply. His hand touched my face, fingers skimming my cheeks, nose and lips. His eyes glowed with emotions as it met mine. I was simply caught in a daze casted by Nile Veselov. He then leaned in to kiss me. I relented.

That morning, we didn’t fuck. We did it slowly and passionately, remembering every warmth our touches could convey.

“Where were you?” Quinn screeched as soon as we arrived at the location. “I’m not gonna even ask you since you’re a record holder for being late.” She directed to me. “But you. You’re supposed to have a speech, Nile. At the opening today! What time is it now? It’s almost time for lunch.”

I sighed. “Relax. You just need a dose of Tyler love. You’re just cranky because he couldn't be here today.” Her eyes twitched, probably irritated to what I said. I just shrugged. Her attention then shifted back to Nile.

“I suppose you have an explanation for being late.” She asked with a raised brow.

Nile cleared his throat awkwardly while I looked around, obviously avoiding something.

“I had something to do.” He couldn’t even look at Quinn straight in the eyes. I noticed Belle smiling the whole time.

“It better be important.” She snapped.

“Relax, Quinn.” Belle finally intervened. “Kura’s right. You really need a dose of Tyler love.”

Quinn inhaled and exhaled deeply. “Sorry. It’s just my wedding is in a few weeks. The nerves are like eating me alive.” She was shaking her hands as if to drive away the nerves. Belle and I chuckled. “Maybe we should just skip the whole wedding and just sign the marriage contract.” She shrugged. We laughed even more.

“You’re such a worrywart.” I teased.

“Perhaps you should go to your fiance so you could be at ease. I’m sure your friends will handle everything here.” Nile said while looking at Quinn like a brother to his sister.

Quinn’s eyes sparkled at the thought. “Really? You guys won’t mind?”

“Absolutely. You’re a wreck if you’re here.” Belle joked. Quinn narrowed her eyes at her. She only returned a shy smile. “It’s true. I mean Kura’s pretty lucky she’s late.”

“Alright, fine.” She said while glaring at her. “You guys don’t want me here.”

I roll my eyes. “Oh, don’t be so dramatic.”

“Don’t forget the party tomorrow.” Nile added.

Oh right. We’re holding a party tomorrow to commemorate the successful event.

She raised a brow mischievously. “Don’t forget your speech there.” She teased. I swear I could see a little red in Nile’s face.

Quinn kissed us one by one before she left. Nile went to find his secretary, leaving Belle and I.

“So…” I looked at her. “What is really going on with you two?” She was holding back a smile while asking me. She hooked her arm around mine as we started walking around the place, taking our time.

We’ve already seen everything yesterday. And I was hands on putting the design of the whole place so we were no longer interested in the view.

“What are you talking about?” I asked her back innocently.

“Oh, please, Kur. Don’t give me that answer. Better yet don’t avoid the question this time. Somehow you always find a way to not answer that. It goes to show you’re guilty.”

I shrugged. “Nothing. Just nothing. I mean we’re finally friends, i guess.”

“Bullshit.”

I gasped. “You said the bad word. I can’t believe you said a bad word.” I accused. She was covering her mouth guiltily when she realized I was fooling her. She smacked my arm and I laughed at her.

“Shut up. This is a prime example of you avoiding the topic.”

I stopped, making her stop as well. I managed to look at her seriously. I froze at what my eyes had caught.

“What’s wrong?” She asked worriedly. I noticed her turned towards the direction of my sight. “Isn’t that... Nixon?” She was in the same way, stunned like me.

Nixon Dale. My ex… and the only guy I ever dated.
