“What are you doing here?” I got up in alarm, immediately backing away from him.

His eyes started feasting my body. I forgot I was still in my bikini. I grabbed the sheets and covered it over my body.

Jacob shook his head. “Tsk tsk tsk. Don’t. You look beautiful.” He then stared at me intensely, giving my skin goosebumps. “And you are mine.”

“How did you get here?!” I got out of the bed and stood far away from him, the sheets still clinging to me. I couldn’t get that far since the window was behind me but if I don’t move, he will trap me here.

“Do you really want to know the answer to that?” He said calmly. His hands were behind his back as he walked around the bed towards me slowly.

He continued to talk as he noticed my silence. “Quinn’s bodyguards really eyed you like a hawk. However, you forgot something, darling, that I have my men who're always ready for my orders.”

“What did you do to them?!” I asked in panic. I started to feel extremely scared and anxious of what he did and he might do. This is what I felt back the first time I discovered he was actually a drug lord and he might kill me.

I’ve never been so scared my whole life. And this is the second time I felt it again. I underestimated him this time. His obsession. It was probably because he was so lax as he held me captive in his mansion. He was kind to me and tolerant and I was so naive to think that he won’t go too far for me.

“That question will be answered by my men. As to why I found you here… the moment I knew you escaped, I ordered my men to look for you. I was surprised to find out that you have a relationship with the most powerful man in this country. Of course, I’m not stupid enough to actually face him. I would be facing the country rather than a man so I told them to keep an eye on you instead. One naive move and here we are. I have to say… you betrayed me, my love. I thought for sure I was the only man.” He grits his teeth. “But no matter… because at the end of the day... you are mine.”

I then threw the bedsheet at him and jumped over the bed. I started running for my dear life but unfortunately I didn’t reach the door. My feet didn’t even land on the floor. He caught my ankle as I jumped over the bed.

He dragged and placed me at the center of the bed. In a second, he hovered over me and pressed his body against mine.

It may be a sin to think like that but the bastard almost ruined my life.

“Boss, we’ll take care of him. I think madam needs you more.” I folded my legs towards my chest so my naked state could not be seen. His men, which I’m sure of, were kind enough to not look my way.

Nile glanced at me. His face softened as he saw my state. He sauntered towards me, grabbing the sheet from the side to cover me. He then untied my wrists. He immediately engulfed me with a hug. I buried my face on his neck, taking in his addicting scent. It calmed me down and gave me relief.

I looked over his shoulder and saw his men dragging an unconscious Jacob outside. I buried my face back to his neck as soon as the door was slammed shut.

Nile hugged me tightly as I cried.

This time I didn’t cry because of what just happened. I cried because it was almost too late for me.

I should’ve told him the truth.
