The dinner went on for a long time. The conversation and laughter lasted for a few hours. After that, they decided to either go for a walk or retire early. Since I had enough sleep, I wanted to go for a walk and probably explore the beach.

Colton withdrew his hand and gestured for me to hug him. I embraced him tightly. I might have overreacted earlier but I more than appreciated regardless if Jacob came for me or not.

“Alright. That’s enough.” Nile snapped us out of our moment when he arrived.

Surprisingly, his tone was not the usual rough and angry towards Colton. He was calm despite the built in scowling face he has. I know for sure why. My best friend gained his favor.

Colton and I slowly pulled away while watching Nile crossing his arms as he waited for me impatiently.

Nile stopped, making me look up at his face. He then looked down at me and asked. “Do you really wanna know?”
