Chapter 23
I blinked my heavy eyes as I opened it to find everywhere blur, I rubbed my eyes to clear the smudgy view as I turned my eyes to see a doctor and Edde discussing in whispers, I tried sitting up as my headache hard I winced in pains holding my head as I sat up.
"Hi Mrs Loxley, You're finally awake, how are you feeling?" The doctor asked in a smile as I nodded my head slowly.
"I am fine, just feeling slight aches in my head" I said in my very unclear low voice.
"Don't worry you will be fine, I have discussed with your husband about your antenatal care schedule and don't worry we will make sure you're not stressed out during these times" She said, making me wanna puke on referring to Edde as my husband.
The monster with long horns…
"And please be careful when next you're climbing the stairs in order not to fall and pass out again" the doctor said as I turned swiftly to Edde whose eyes were fixed on his phone, what kinda lie was that!
"Alright, thank you doctor"
Edde followed the lady out of the room leaving me all alone in the room, I turned to the pills the doctor recommended to me and the sight alone gave me goosebumps.
"How sure am I that this isn't abortion pills" I said audibly and sighed staring into space as the door opened revealing Edde who walked in avoiding my gaze. "Edde, how dare you lie to the doctor? Ain't you ashamed of yourself? Who doesn't know that hitting a woman is bad and you dare hit me and have the guts to lie that I fell from the god-damn stairs!?… The doctor is equally dumb for believing your lies!" I yelled as tears streamed down my cheeks.
He stood by the door staring at me speechlessly, I could tell that he felt guilty with his actions but definitely his high ego wouldn't let him admit his wrongs.
I swung my leg down the bed even if I still felt slight pain in my head, I grabbed my phone and turned back to Edde who stood by the door staring at me like the statue of liberty "Excuse me…" I said in a cracked voice as I pushed him off my way, I had expected him to question my going out but surprisingly he said nothing.
I checked my time to see that it was 9pm already which means it's 4pm in New York hence London is five hours ahead, I thought of calling either my mom or Melanie but I retreated knowing that they would be bothered hearing my cracked voice, I didn't want anyone to worry about me as if I'm a kid or something.
I walked down the streets not knowing exactly where I was headed to, seeing that the street was occupied with canteens, lights and people gave me the urge to continue my journey to wherever.

Edde groaned loudly when he got to the sitting room and didn't find Elizabeth, he sighed loudly as he checked the wall clock "gosh!, Where has she gone by this time! It's fucking late!" Edde Muttered "Jack! Nick!" Edde called out as the two men in their black attires hurried in, their guns could be seen in their lower torso "where is my wife?"
"Master, your wife said she needed to get some female stuff at the store down the street" Nick said in a bow as Edde tightened his fist in fury.
"Are you both telling me that you let Elizabeth leave this mansion alone by this time of the night?!" Edde yelled as the men flinched speechlessly "Don't you guys know how to do your jobs again!? You both are my fucking guards and all you guys needed to do was to fucking go with her instead of leaving her to walk alone in a place she barely knows!"
"We're sorry Master, but…"
"Shut that mouth of yours up! If anything happens to my wife you both are fucking dead!" Edde shouted in fury as he left the house… He had called Elizabeth's line several times but she refused to pick up which even bothered him the most!
Walking down the street frustratedly and continually hissing, He ran his fingers through his hair confused on where to go find Elizabeth, the street was a little bit crowded and that made it hard to find her, he walked down the street peeping into the corners he saw but there was no sign of her.
"Why has she decided to frustrate me this much! She didn't have to leave the mansion to cry or do whatever she wanted" He mumbled as his eyes shifted to an ice cream shop which was already closing, he thought of approaching the people in the shop but knowing that he would only create much attention for himself he decided not to ask.
Elizabeth on the other hand had cried her heart out that she was finally okay, it seemed like crying was her pill at that moment.
She wiped off her tears and sniffled the spicy aroma that came from the beef that was being roasted at the corner "I should get that before my lungs cuts off" she mumbled audibly walking towards the middle aged man who roasted the beef, she was lucky that he didn't have customers crowding him at that time hence it was already late.
"Hello sir, please how much do you sell your roasted beef?" She asked in an unclear low voice due to her endless cries.
"Two dollars each…" He replied as Elizabeth smiled.
Maybe she'd spent her $500 eating the beef, she thought salivating to the roasted beef.
"Can I just eat as it's on fire? I don't mind eating all of it and don't worry I will pay" Elizabeth requested hopefully he accepts.
"No big deal, you're free hence you're probably my last customer for the day" he said handing her chopsticks.
Eating the beef made Elizabeth forget that she was crying some moments ago, she hummed softly shaking her head as she devoured the meat, the middle aged man stared at her amazed wondering what a beautiful lady like Elizabeth would be doing outside at that time of the night and wasn't acting like she was ready to go back home at anytime.
"Elizabeth!" Hearing her name Elizabeth turned to see Edde standing with his two hands filling his pockets, Elizabeth Turned back and continued eating the beef ignoring Edde's presence.
"Elizabeth, please come let's go home" Edde said in a pleading tone as Elizabeth sighed, turning to him.
"As you can see, I am busy," Elizabeth replied, turning back and continued eating.
"Alright, I will pay for the beef and he will pack all for you" Edde offered, making Elizabeth smile at the man and winked at him happily, at least she gets to save her money.
She turned back to him, keeping a stern expression "Fine!" She said dropping the chopsticks.
Getting back home Edde heaved a sigh of relief on finally getting Elizabeth home and in a good state, if not… What would he have to explain?
Elizabeth grabbed the packaged beef from him as she headed to the back door which led to the pool at the back of the house.
"Come on Elizabeth! At least come take off your clothes I am sure your bum would be sweaty from the tight jeans!" Edde said as Elizabeth ignored him slamming the door behind her.
Sitting on the lounge chair at the side of the pool, she ate the beef quietly staring into the pool, she was so lost in lust of the pool that she didn't know when her beef finished "Maybe I should try swimming and get my body chilly" She mumbled taking off her hoodie revealing her lingerie bra and unbuttoned her pants. Soon she was standing in front of the pool half naked contemplating if she should still swim or not.
Edde on the other hand stood up at the balcony staring down at Elizabeth, he gulped repeatedly trying hard to control himself from going down and smashing her ass right under the pool "Why does she have all the curves alone!" Edde Muttered salivating to her body, he hasn't had sex ever since he learnt that Elizabeth was pregnant for him, not that he didn't want to but he wasn't just in the mood! All his mind could think of was how to get rid of Elizabeth.
Now getting Elizabeth to marry him turned out to be the worst temptation, he was supposed avoid her to the fullest and resist having sex with her again but NO! Her banging body was too calling for him to let go of her, after their shower sex Edde forever wished to have her under him forever and that was insane because he has never craved a woman to that extent.
He watched as Elizabeth slid into the blue light pool making her curly hair drip sexily around her skin. He needed her so badly! He watched her swim from end to end wiggling her legs which made her squashy bum wiggle uncontrollably "I can't hold this!" He muttered as he dashed out of the room.
