Chapter 29
The next day, Edde stood at the balcony staring down to the passing cars in traffic, he hated himself for saying harsh words to Elizabeth but at same time he felt like that was the right thing to do, he hated that she acted so possessive over him in front of Sadie and he also hated the words he said to her, there are better ways of solving issues like this!
He turned back to the room as he had been waiting for Elizabeth to wake up hence it was already late in the morning, turning to the room he sighted Elizabeth through the transparent white curtains that separated the room from the balcony, she was already awake seated on the bed and yawning tiredly as she stretched her bones.
He looked closely at her observing her mood as suddenly she hurried out of the bed like a bug stung her, she dashed into the convenience covering her mouth with her palms.
"What was that for?" Edde mumbled as he made it to the convenience to see Elizabeth leaned over the toilet sink puking her lungs out "Elizabeth what's wrong?" Edde asked worriedly as he held her curly hair back for her not to puke on it.
She spat out the sore taste in her mouth and washed her mouth in the sink, she turned to Edde with a lowered weak gaze "I'm feeling Feverish and more Queasy, you need to come with me to the hospital" Elizabeth sighed as she excused herself to the room while Edde walked behind her.
"If that is it then we have to go immediately to be on the safe side, you look too dull and we have a party to attend to night! You can't go looking this weak".
"A party!? Why?* Elizabeth muttered curiously as she wrinkled her nose in distaste.
"It's an ALL STAR PARTY and it's important we go, so whatever you gotta do to be fine then do it!" Edde yelled frustratedly "Go take your bath right away"

I and Edde went to the hospital together after so much of his nagging, I had expected him to at least beg me about his harsh words to me the previous night but he never did. He acted like all was fine.
"Mr Edde as it is whatever is wrong with your wife is an effect of her pregnancy, she's carrying a male child and they come with worse cravings and morning sickness, so all I'm tryna say is that, now she needs you more around her, she needs your attention often and.."
"Are you crazy! How dare you instruct me on how to treat my wife!" I could see the burning flame in Edde's eyes as his black eye balls suddenly seemed darker, I was scared of him sparking and beating the hell outta doctor Alec as I prayed silently in my heart hence he warned me strictly not to interrupt him.
"No sir, you're getting it all wrong please I'm sorry if you didn't like my tone, I was only tryna do the best of my profession which is…
"Betta, let's go" Edde said, pulling my hand along with him as I trailed behind him with my brain tryna understand that he actually gave me a short for my name just like Melanie. I felt so happy as I walked by his side staring blankly on our hands intertwined together… Betta sounds so good from him I'm freaking gonna tell Mel!.
"Where are we going now?" I asked slowly as I watched him enter the car, he sighed deeply turning on the ignition switch and turned to me in a cold stern expression.
"Hope the doctors check up's on you. I mean are you strong?" He asked, ignoring my question as I nodded steadily "We are going to get us ready for the party at Ama's store" he said as I nodded, at least I get to meet Ama Castane again.
"If I may ask, Ama is a super star so… Isn't she going to the All star party?" I asked as he ignored me, his eyes focused on the driveway. "Is your lover coming?" I asked as he turned to me, giving me a cold glare as I shrugged nervously.
Dressing at Ama's boutique wasn't a bad idea at all! I stood in front of the large mirror in the dressing room staring admiringly at my classy reflection. Edde chose the outfit definitely but he chose a very expensive black outfit with the fashion model vibe, A trouser suit and beautiful long jacket. Ama did great in styling my hair even if Edde strictly warned her not to pack it in a bun for a reason best known to him.
I pulled my Chanel handbag close to my belly to match it with the outfit as I winked excitedly at my reflection "I should take a mirror picture of me for the gram this once!" I Muttered grinning from ear to ear.
Soon we were done with dressing up and all, I waved Ama goodbye already missing our chitchat together.
The drive to the venue was a freaking quiet one as I and Edde didn't have anything to say to each other. I had caught him stealing glances at me but he never said a word to me. The urge to tell him how handsome he looked in his expensive Armani suit was too much but my ego wouldn't let me tell him such words hence he never said anything nice to me.
He drove into a large white house, I could see the sparkling white paint of the mansion even if it was 5pm already, he drove into the parking lot which had expensive cars packed in it already.
"There are lots of paparazzi here so you just gotta hold me tight else you would see yourself on the floor" he advised as I nodded.
On getting down from the car the paparazzi hurried to us immediately leaving the people they were interviewing. The number of paparazzi in front of us asking us crazy pokenosey questions got me so nervous that I held tightly on Edde's hands.
"Mr Edde, how long have you been dating Mrs Elizabeth?"
"Were you guys dating anonymously?"
"Why did you decide to marry a woman that isn't noticed publicly?"
"Do you love her?"
Blah blah blah the questions were annoying and too much! That I wondered how Edde could answer them without missing any questions, his lie was believable that I would have fallen for it when he said he loved me genuinely.
"We heard that your wife here is a final year student in college, did she leave school to marry you because of your money?" The question annoyed me to my marrow that I nearly cursed them, I gnitched my teeth angrily as I turned to Edde to hear his response.
"My wife isn't a drop out, I think we have answered quite enough please leave the way!" Edde said harshly as he pulled me along with him as they hurried behind us throwing different questions at us.
"You both should kiss if you really are married genuinely" one of them said as Edde stopped dead on track making me choke on my breath as he turned to them.
"Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!" They chanted as Edde turned to me, I was confused if I wanted the kiss or not but I was uncomfortable kissing him in public_ Just in-between my thoughts I felt his soft cherry lips marry mine as my heart beat increased nervously the cheering noise coming from the paparazzi were loud and I could tell that they got the kinda pictures they need.
Edde's lips disengaged from my lips and it seemed like that was when I needed him the most. He pulled me with him into the mansion as the paparazzi continued rushing us and I feared they would come into the building.
The loud music filled my ear as we walked in the aisle of the ballroom. Edde waved at everyone in the room, no one looked poor or average, everyone looked expensive, especially the ladies who sat together chatting and moving their body to the rhythm of the song.
I nervously followed Edde every corner he went as I wasn't comfortable and didn't know anyone "Yo man! You came with your wife! Didn't know you would make it from New York, hi Rue" Edde waved at the lady that sat beside the very familiar man as she smiled waving back at him.
"Rue, wouldn't let me miss this! Hello Elizabeth" the man greeted as we exchanged handshakes.
"Hey, The Playboy's wife!?" The lady teased as she hurried to me and Edde rolled his eyes at her "Sorry I called your man that but you know he is, nice meeting you! You look so beautiful with the killer body those women over there had to pay for!" She complimented as she checked me out making me feel nervous as she suddenly pulled me into a hug "come sit next to me please," she said making a poppy face which made me blush at her sweet attitude.
The chit chat was going all good as Edde couldn't stop greeting and waving at people that said hi to him, I could sight numerous Married ladies staring lustfully at Edde but he never gave them the attention which made me happy until…
