Chapter 50

"I asked my securities and the chauffeur to do whatever you asked of them and let you go wherever, and trust me I regret giving you that freedom!" Edde yelled as he stormed out of the room making me cringe at the loud slamming of the door.

I sighed, feeling aggravated as I gently wiped off the tears in my eyes and walked over to Grey's Cradle bed and carried him up. "I'm sorry for whatever noise you heard, your dad was acting up unnecessarily" I said and hissed as a soft knock came on the door, I walked over to it and pulled it open. It was Miss Brooke.

"Good morning Miss Brooke" I greeted, faking a simple smile as she nodded and smiled back.

"Good morning Mrs Loxley, I came to bathe Grey" she said as I shaked my head negatively.

"Nope I got this today, just get his breakfast ready" I ordered as she nodded and walked away.

I was scared that I really pissed Edde off on the first day of his return, the way he left the room got me thinking if he was going to come back and stay here with us.

I turned to the table to pick up my phone and maybe call him but then I remembered that he had seized my phone from me. I sighed and took Grey into the bathroom for his morning bath.

After a little hard time bathing Grey, I was finally done as I walked to the bedroom to see Edde changed into a comfy home wear, he turned to me and immediately rolled his eyes out.

"I want to sleep Elizabeth, I wouldn't like any form of disturbances huh?" He uttered boredly as he fell on the bed and covered himself with the duvet.

"Alright then, I will simply join you after feeding Grey his breakfast" I said with a cheeky smile as Edde turned with a hard glare on his face.

"No you won't, just stay on your own or I should rather leave the room" he said and kicked the duvet off his skin with pure anger and hate in his eyes.

Was he angry at me or Ken? Why is he acting up so much!

"Edde, I don't get the point of all these you're doing, like I said, I do not have nothing with Ken. I went out once with him just because I haven't stepped out ever since Grey's birth and It was an opportunity to have a nice hangout, I didn't have sex with Ken. Even the second outing I told you about didn't workout, I wasn't in the mood to go out so I stayed back" I explained gently as he sighed and lay back down.

"Whatever…"

"At least can you stop giving me attitudes? You just came back, you should try making missing you worth it".

"Can you just dry my kid up and dress him?" Edde uttered harshly as I lowered my gaze sadly and grabbed Grey's towel.

Edde was still mad at me, he clearly didn't believe all I said and it hurts to know that this drama will continue for a while.

I had just finished feeding Grey and he slept off while eating so I gently laid him on his cradle bed. I was now the only one not sleeping as I stood looking at them like I'm lost.

I sighed as I walked out of the room to the sitting room, two guards were standing there which kinda made me feel uncomfortable as they never stood there before.

I thought of asking them why they ain't in their main duty posts but I waved it off and picked up the magazine I left on the table as I crossed my legs set to read when a knock on the door interrupted me.

One of the guards hurried to answer the door as I turned back to my reading.

"Is Elizabeth home?" I heard the husky masculine voice from outside which I recognized to be Ken's, my heartbeat froze in fear of Edde suddenly waking up and walking down just to see Ken. He would never believe me, he will assume that this isn't the first time Ken is visiting.

Why on Earth will Ken come to my house, God!

The guard at the door turned to me as I placed my both hands on my right ear signalling him to lie that I was sleeping.

"Ma'am Elizabeth is Sleeping, you can't see her now".

"Elizabeth, why are you making my guard lie! You ain't sleeping and Ken is invited in to see you," Edde said nonchalantly as he walked down the stairs.

My cheeks turned red in shame as I lowered my head, Ken must have sent a text to my phone and Edde saw it.

I wonder what Edde has in mind, why will he invite Ken in! I feel so awkward.

Ken entered the house with a smile on his face as he ignored Edde and hurried to me.

"I tried calling you yesterday but you didn't respond. I was wondering if you got sick or something, are you alright? Why did you have to make the guard lie?" Ken asked as he tucked my hair gently behind my ears making me feel uneasy.

Why is he acting like we are so close? I'm so sorry for him because the look on Edde's face is enough to burn him.

"Ken, no matter what you have with my girl don't ever touch her hair!" Edde yelled as he yanked Ken's hand off me.

I stood up and made towards the stairs, whatever game Edde and Ken was playing I wasn't in for it.

"Betta, why don't you invite your guest for breakfast, the chef's are done with cooking" I stood at the edge of the stairs as I bit my lips angrily and gently turned back to them.

"Yes we should have breakfast with him" I uttered with a fake smile and walked into the dinning room.

I sat alone on the dining chair as tears rolled down my cheeks, I knew that Edde was up to something not good and same with Ken. The hatred in Edde's eye's when Ken sat next to me was too obvious and I feared that he was going to rip Ken apart.

Soon the chef's served the steamy meal of spaghetti with red sauce and cheese, Ken walked into the dinning room with Edde following him from behind.

I was slowly getting Claustrophobic attack in the room with all the Awkwardness that made me uncomfortable.

"Come on Betta, serve the meal!" Edde snapped as I swallowed the growing lump on my throat nervously and faked a smile. I quickly dished the spaghetti into the plates, added the sauce and poured the pineapple flavoured juice into the cups and sat down.

The silence in the room was so awkward as I kept my head low to avoid any eye contacts. As I tried shoving the Spaghetti into my mouth, some dropped at the lower part of my breast Making me sigh as I made to pick the serviette.

"Hey Elizabeth, you're such a big baby" Ken said as he grabbed the serviette and started cleaning the stain.

"Thank you, I got this" I said with an uneasy chuckle escaping from my mouth as I took the serviette from him, Edde wasn't looking at all. He was busy with his food.

"I'm hosting a party next week, do you mind being my date for that night?" Ken requested gently as I cleared my throat uneasily.

"I'm sorry but I can't…"

"Okay I'm done with this Ken, I don't know whatever relationship you had with Elizabeth while I was away but I won't tolerate you shooting your shots in front of me! You came to see Elizabeth right? I'm sure you have seen her pretty face enough so now you can go" Edde said harshly as he stood up from his seat and Ken stood up too.

"Are you jealous that your contract wife is getting along with me?" Ken snapped sarcastically as Edde bit his lip tightly so that it turned red,I could see the strong veins on his tightened fists. I was scared seeing blood all over their bodies because they might possibly fight if nothing is done to calm them down.

Especially Edde…

"Ken please go, we only had just one hangout please stop giving Edde the impression that we had something deep!" I said in a failed voice as my vision blurred with tears.

"Don't pretend that you weren't loving our time together, you happily accepted the second hangout without hesitation. You liked my company!" Ken said as Edde matched over to him and aggressively pulled him with his jaw clenched tightly.

"Edde, please calm down and let the guards send him out!" I pleaded as Edde glared at me to shut up, Ken was rather smiling in such a terrific situation.

"Why don't you show Elizabeth the real you, don't hesitate to do what you're good at" Ken uttered as Edde slammed his head on the glassy table making Ken wince and my body cringe in fear for Ken, I haven't seen this part of Edde before and it was really scaring the hell out me.

"Edde, please stop! You will kill him, just let him go!" I yelled in tears as Edde kept slamming Ken's head hard on the already cracked table, Ken's head was bleeding so bad but Ken was still smiling like a psychopath.

"Get out!" Edde yelled at me as I quickly took to my heels with uncontrollable tears rolling down my cheeks.
