Chapter 41
.. Henry POV…
"You promised me," she whispered, her voice shaking. I could see fear written on the ball over her face and her hand trembled. Her eyebrows arched up and her breathing increased.
"There is a change of plans but it's all the same you are going to leave this place." I nodded and beamed a reassuring smile and her expression loosened up a bit.
"You might not know, but the person who hired us is not responding, and the gang will have to do something before it's too late. So I looked for your fiance's number.
"What's his name?" She asked surprised when I mentioned 'fiance'.
"Dickinson right? I managed to get his number and handed it to my boss, who contacted him. Don't be bothered I could hear Dickinson's voice on the other end of the line, It was really him. But my boss demanded a ransom for your release which he agreed to pay.
"Oh I see," she said, visibly surprised.
"Thank you, thank you very much," she added.
There is no need I said looking into her eyes. She was a beauty, her eyes were vast like the sea and I was like a boat that was lost in them. Throughout her days here her eyes always set things running in my heart.
' But she already had a fiance.' I sighed. But despite that I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders, knowing that we had a chance to get Emile out of this alive. I had saved Emile and secured a ransom for my gang in which I will get a cut and pay my depts.
I breathed a sigh of relief this was just like killing two birds with one stone.
But I couldn't shake off the guilt of involving Dickinson and putting him through this. I just hope that Emile and Dickinson can forgive me for what I've done.
I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over me as I realized that my plan had worked. I had saved Emile and secured a ransom for my gang

… Emile POV…
I was surprised whennhenryntold that Dickinson had been contacted. But in as much as i would like to stay away from Dickinson being with him would be far better than this place.
After dropping telling me whatl happened, I thanked Henry. He had been nice and caring throughout my stay here.
He nodded his head as he left. I could see a little sad expression on his face as he turned to leave.
After a few hours unknown to me, I was sitting in a small, dark cell, my hands tied behind my back. I had been kidnapped and had no idea why or by whom. I had been sitting there for what felt like hours, and my fear was starting to turn into panic.
Did something go wrong I wondered. After a few more minutes the door flew open and a light passed in.
A burly man entered the room with three other men. Henry was amoung and I could see him nod at me. One of the men was using a phone he was tall and not too muscular and had overgrown beards.
In a few seconds the burly man sized me up and down and beamed a smilelike I was a trophy he won.
Suddenly, I heard a buzzing noise, and I realized it was the phone of the man.
The tall man with overgrown beards sslanted the phone and placed it in front of me.
It was probably a video, a video of proof.
"Emile, are you there?" It was my Dickinsons voice on the other end, and the sound of it brought tears to my eyes.
"Yes, I'm here," I managed to choke out. It was so long inhadd heard his voice. Now it seemed to be like years I had heard his voice. But it had only been six days.
"We're doing everything we can to find you," he said, his voice filled with worry. "Just hang in there. We'll get you out of there."
I wanted to believe him, but I couldn't shake the feeling that I was running out of time.
The burly boss took the phone from the other tall man. Time's over he said as he left while talking with Dickinsons.
They Left again and after quarter hour, the door to my cell opened and a man walked in. He didn't say a word, but gestured for me to stand up. I complied, my heart pounding in my chest.
He then blindfolded me, and led me out of the cell. I was pushed into a car, and we drove for what felt like forever.
Finally, the car came to a stop, and the man dragged me out. I could hear the sound of a large door opening, and then I was pushed forward.
I stumbled, but managed to keep my footing. The man then removed my blindfold and I saw that I was in a warehouse. I was alone, and I had no idea where I was or what was going to happen to me next.
They placed me on a chair with my hands and leg where tied.
I turned my head atared into the eyes of Henry who leaned at a corner. Half of his ace was masked with a handkerchief. I had never seen his face before but he looked cute even though I had not seen his whole face.
We can go now the man who blindfolded me said to Henry. As he made from the door.
You can go to the car I will.meey you there, Henry replied as he stood up well from his leaning position.
Be quick the man said and exited the room.
"The ransom has been paid", Henry said to me as the man left.
He walked up as he talked and I sighed in relief. I knew I had to be grateful to Dickinson but before then…
"Thank you Henry", I smiled as tears welled up in my eyes.
He bent low in a semi squat position and we were face to face. Our eyes met and everything seemed to stop for a second. The handkerchief around his face shifted and I could tell he was smiling.
"Uh…" I interrupted the silence. I do not know what you look like.
"Oh I see", he said still maintaining neye contact with me.
"You don't have to--"
"No need I was about to do that", he said as he dropped the handkerchief.
As Henry untied my hands, I turned to him and saw his face for the first time. It was a face that was etched with the lines of stress and worry, but also a face that held a sense of determination and strength. His hair was dark and unkempt, as if he had been running his hands through it in frustration. His eyes were deep-set and dark, and they seemed to hold a sense of sadness that I couldn't quite understand.
As he dropped the handkerchief that had been acting as a face mask, I saw that his nose was slightly crooked, as if it had been broken at some point.
His jawline was strong and defined, giving him a rugged, masculine appearance. But it was his mouth that caught my attention the most. His lips were thin and tight, as if he was holding back something that he wanted to say.
I couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude towards him. He had been the one to come up with the plan to use my fiancé's number for ransom, and ultimately, he had saved my life.
I couldn't imagine what would have happened if he hadn't stepped in. As I looked into his eyes, I saw a flicker of something that I couldn't quite place. Was it regret? Guilt? I couldn't be sure.
All I knew was that as he turned to leave, I couldn't help but feel a sense of loss. He had been my captor.
My hands and legs were tied and I didn't want Dickinson to untie them. I couldn't bear to look at his face and I couldn't untie myself either.
I watched as Henry was about to step out of the door. I knew I needed to act fast.
"Wait, Please untie me", I said. He looked at me with a surprised expression, but I could see a hint of kindness in his eyes.
"Dickinson will help you with that," he said, referring to my savior, the one who had paid the ransom for my release..
"He may be my savior," I replied, "But you are also my savior. You are the one who helped me escape."
Henry looked at me, and I could see a hint of emotion in his eyes. He walked up to me and went to my back untied my hands, then he squatted and untied my legs.
