Chapter 41 Few Months of Dating
Months before the wedding.
Stefani barged inside Jonathan's room with a frown.
"Did you have another nightmare?" Jonathan looked at her in concern.
Stefani shook her head, still with a frown. "I-I.. I don't think I can sleep tonight."
Jonathan nodded his head. He already knew after the movie, Stefani would be too scared to sleep on her own.
"That's why I told you you can sleep here with me," Jonathan said nonchalantly, eyes still in his book. When he heard nothing from the younger, he placed his book down then motioned the younger to come to space next to him.
Stefani blushed hard and started yelling. "L-Like I would do that!! You pervert!"
With that, Stefani turned around and headed out. Jonathan sighed and continued reading his book. A smile playing on his face as he counted to ten and his door was opening by then.
"I-I'm only doing this for tonight! And don't you dare do anything dirty!" Stefani said with a blush, now slowly moving towards Jonathan's bed and lying down beside him.
"I don't like dirty," Jonathan replied as he placed his book on the bedside table. Stefani was already lying and back facing him beside him.
"That's good then! Well that's it, good ni-"
Stefani's words were cut off as her face was turned around by Jonathan's hands, only to capture her soft, sweet lips. Her eyes went wide, her whole body trembled as she could feel how soft and full Jonathan's lips were against hers.
"This isn't considered dirty, is it, my wife?" Jonathan teasingly said after pulling away and stared at Stefani's red face.
"Y-You-!!" Stefani started hitting Jonathan's chest, trying to push him away but Jonathan only smiled and hugged her tighter.
"Yeah, yeah, I know I'm horrible. Now go to sleep," Jonathan softly said as he patted Stefani's head still while hugging her, his eyes slowly shutting close.
"Y-You're the worst..." Stefani muttered, her hands gripping on Jonathan's clothes.
"I know." Jonathan smiled with eyes closed.
"I hate you..." Stefani's hands gripped harder, her body scooting closer to Jonathan’s.
"I know." Jonathan smiled even more, hugging Stefani tighter with satisfaction on his face.
Soon, the two fell asleep, lying comfortably in each others' arms.
Some people’s love needs words to know its real meaning. Some just need actions. And just like what Mr. Hernandez says, the person who hates too much is the person who loves too much.
In a world full of hate, let our hate be the most loveable of all.
"By the way, why do you always wear a hoodie or a thick sweater? You're always covered like a dumpling."
"Well, Rose told me to cover my skin as much as possible when I'm here.. She said it's for my own safety. She said it could provoke something not right for my age yet."
"What?" Jonathan could feel his cheeks heating up and so he hugged Stefani tighter. He was annoyed at the fact that he was the reason for such a thing.
Women really are scary. One moment they smile at you and act sweet, but once you turn around, they think of you as a pervert.
Though Rose was right about that a bit. There were days Jonathan wanted to do more than kissing with Stefani but he knew the younger needed time to be prepared for that kind of thing. Jonathan, being the logical and gentleman that he was, chose to wait. For how long he would need to wait, however, that he didn't know.
Jonathan sighed, helpless in his thoughts, as he wrapped Stefani even tighter in his arms.
"I-I don't understand her myself! I don't mind changing though-" Stefani muttered.
"No."
"But- Why not?" Stefani shot her head up and frowned at Jonathan. Something was off and Stefani, Stefani was curious.
Jonathan pulled Stefani's head back against his chest so she wouldn't see his face.
"Just because. Now sleep," Jonathan ordered, pushing the adult thoughts away from his mind.
Some love needs you to endure, too.
