Chapter 43 Chapter 43 First Time (Part 1)

"Don't move too much," Jonathan ordered to his wife as Stefani gave him her famous death glare. This time, though, the glare became a weak stare. Jonathan placed his hand on Stefani's forehead and sure it was, the younger's fever had risen by another degree celsius.

The phone on the bedside table vibrated and Jonathan sighed as he stood up to get the device.

While glancing at his sick wife on the bed, the New HE Group CEO answered the phone. "Yes. I'll send it in a few. What? Okay. Tell me the details."

Stefani's face was all red from the fever and opened her lips, "Just go..."

Jonathan frowned, contemplating what to do. "I can't leave you here in a state like this."

Even in her fever, Stefani still managed to get mad, "It's not like I'm dying. Just go!"

Jonathan stared at his lover for a long time before he finally heave a deep sigh, "Okay. I'll be back before dinner."

Before dinner? Stefani frowned in her heart. She wanted to complain and order her husband to make it by lunch! It was Sunday, Jonathan's day off, and they said they needed Jonathan? He just became the CEO not long ago and now they were giving too much work already?!

While Stefani was still fuming in her head, she felt Jonathan's lips slightly brushed against her own that instantly made her train of thoughts stop. Stefani's heart was beating so loud against her chest as Jonathan gave her a loving glance while squeezing her hand. "Get better. I'll be back before dinner."

"You don't have to say it twice," Stefani muttered under the duvet.

Jonathan gave her a worried expression then with seemingly a heavy heart, walked out of the room.

Outside, there were about five maids and five bodyguards that greeted Jonathan. Jonathan immediately called each and gave a brief concise instruction. "Check on her every fifteen minutes. See if there's a change in her body temperature. Call me if anything happens... No, call me even if nothing happens."

The maids and butlers were stunned by Jonathan’s words. Except Rose and Pacholo, the rest were quite amazed by their boss' protectiveness towards his wife. These workers just started a week ago and only knew the couple was married for about a month. According to the rumor, the couple's marriage was just an arranged marriage and so far, they did not really witness them to be lovey dovey like a real couple therefore they assumed there was no love between the two persons. However, today was different. They truly didn't expect their cold and usually expressionless boss to actually "care" for his wife. Maybe they really love each other?

"Stupid monkey, I hate you!!!" Stefani suddenly shouted from the room which alarmed the maids and butlers.

The maids sighed. Maybe the care was just out of obligation!

"I'll check on Young Miss' temperature. Lily and Carmella, you continue cleaning the veranda. Violet and Sun, you continue arranging the flowers in the living room," Rose, now being the head maid in this new mansion Jonathan and Stefani own, instructed.

Indeed, it has been a month since Jonathan and Stefani got married. And the past weeks, Rose witnessed how the two fought, make up, and fought all over again. It was like they always said, bad habits were hard to die. Deep in her heart however, she was happy to see Stefani finally being with her most cherished person.

"Young Miss, I brought fruits," Rose said as she knocked twice on Jonathan and Stefani's bedroom.

She knew how her young miss could still be sulky like a child at times, especially whenever Jonathan needed to leave her for a long time.

Without waiting for her reply, Rose opened the door and entered the bedroom with a tray of peeled and sliced fruits. Just as she expected, Stefani was pouting like a little kid on the bed.

"Master Jonathan won't be gone for a long time this time, there is nothing to be worried about," Rose tried to put the sick person at ease.

Stefani pouted even more and looked at Rose," But it's freaking Sunday!"

Rose sighed and placed the tray in front of Stefani. For the past four days, Stefani had been inside the house, mostly lying on the bed due to her fever, and refused to go to the hospital. Because of this, Jonathan had to specifically call their family physician to check on Stefani. The doctor said it was just a flu and Stefani just needed plenty of rest. At first, they thought it would come off easily like when Jonathan gets sick, but who would've thought Stefani got her own "weird fever" time too? Apparently, whenever Stefani gets a flu, it would usually last for a week or more!

"Your friends, Lady Christina and the others, will be coming in a few minutes. Do you want to meet them or should I tell them to come next time?" Rose asked as she carefully took Stefani's temperature next after the younger ate some sliced apples in front of her.

Stefani thought she didn't have the energy to talk to those girls, but Jonathan was not around and she actually felt bored. "It's fine, I'll just meet them." Then like a kid, she grabbed another slice from the plate and stuffed it in her mouth.

Not even less than five minutes, Christina and the gang came with their loud voices. Again, the maids were startled to meet young and rich ladies with such rowdy behavior!

Ivy was lying down on the sofa with stretched legs, the TV playing a drama series currently. "Oh look at that. The husband is cheating behind his wife's back, what a scumbag piece of shit."

"I know, right? That asshole should just die. Fucking another woman and calling his wife the only one? And she actually believes him? What an ignorant bitch," Christina said too as she was watching the TV.

If one were to listen to these girls, they would've thought of them as gangsters because of their words!

Ivy glanced at Stefani who was in her pajamas. "You don't wanna go to the doctor yet, Stef? You know you look like a sick squirrel right now."

"Shut up," Stefani said as she was munching a mouthful of apple and was about to grab a popcorn next but was immediately stopped by Christina.

"Your husband said no sweets and junk foods for you the entire week," Christina warned.

Stefani swallowed down her food and frowned, "But he's not here! Give me that!" The rebellious whiny voice was really familiar to the girls.

Bridget quickly grabbed the popcorn from Christina's hand, "Don't be stubborn, Stef. Besides, you have a fever. Why are you acting so strong now?"

After pretending to be fine since the girls came, Stefani finally coughed a few times.

One maid immediately gave her a cup of water then.

"Are you sure it's fine to watch TV and not rest in your bed?" Dianne asked with a lot of concern on her face.

"I'm pretty sure Stefani is bored as hell so it's okay, right, Stef?" Ivy said while munching her own junk food. "Besides, she's pissed off because her husband is not here to spoil her..."

Stefani's face flushed in both embarrassment and anger at that. "Shut up!"

Soon, the quiet house suddenly became lively. The maids themselves were somehow glad for the ladies' appearances. They had seen their young miss being lonely sometimes especially when her husband wasn't around. To see her with her friends and being extra energetic, the workers of the house genuinely felt peaceful.

"Oh, by the way, you've been married for one month, right?" Bridget suddenly opened.

Stefani raised an eyebrow, "Yeah?"

"Then how many times do you do it?" Bridget asked with a glitter in her eyes.

Ivy giggled and moved closer to Stefani. The two other girls also moved closer, waiting for their friend's answer. It was after all, the topic they wanted to discuss most about with Stefani.

"W-Why do you want to know?" At this time, Stefani's face was all red. And anybody can say it wasn't just because of the fever.

Christina gave her a meaningful look, "Oh, come on. You've both been in love with each other for over a decade. We just wanna know how passionate you two are in bed."

This statement was even more embarrassing to hear!

"H-How can you ask such things?! I-It's private! Stop asking about that! I'm not gonna answer!" Stefani exclaimed with red ears.

Bridget pouted, "Come on, Stef. It's not like we're gonna write your experiences and create an intense romantic adult story or something. We just wanna know how you felt~"

Seriously, even the idea of creating a story out of Stefani and Jonathan's experiences was in this girl's mind! Stefani suddenly felt scared of Bridget!

"Yeah, plus we're all virgins so..." The look on Christina's face was really pitiful and sad.

Why was she using that card on Stefani now? It wasn't Stefani's fault that her friends were still virgin!

With their pitiful looks, Stefani frowned and finally said, "Fine."

The girls excitedly looked at each other then quickly began asking Stefani.

"So... how was it? Your first time," Bridget asked first.

Stefani blushed upon recalling it, still a bit hesitant if she was doing the right thing of sharing something private to her friends. But then again, these friends of hers were people who had stayed by her side for a long time, even when Jonathan left her to study abroad. They had stuck to her through and through, like a real family. So Stefani bit her lip and answered in a soft whisper, "a...mm.. a.. z...ng.."
