The alarm goes off middle of the morning and Aiden has already laid clothes out for me to dress in. I left all the packing to him because it is something he was really wanting to do for the both of us. I sent a text to my family and Val that we were taking off this morning for two days and not to worry.
After our second round last night, we threw in a frozen pizza that he had in the freezer that honestly made me laugh. It was better than take out and having others work even more because I know clean up is going on for the much of the area surrounding us.
"Where are we going?" I ask Aiden since we are now in the car and driving down the road. We done got to an area that looks to have been barely touched by the hurricane.
"It is a place that was not hit by the hurricane and right now due to things it will be very light on the tourist. It is a place that seems perfect for us though and even though it has water we will not go in or be that close to it other than one event I would like for us to do." Aiden spares me a short glance while driving.
The suspense is killing me on knowing where we are going and I have never been very good with surprises.
As we drive, Aiden moves to hold my hand and I watch as the landscape passes us by. After driving for a while, Aiden slows the car and we pull into an area that looks like a castle.
"Is this St. Augustine?" I look over to Aiden who smirks.
"Yes it is."
When we pull up, a valvet takes the car and informs us he will take our bags to the reserved room.
Clinking on the concrete catches my attention. Right as a loud puff sounds behind us.
"Mister and Miss. Your carriage is ready." A older man smiles down at us from the front of the carriage.
I look over the horses and relish in their beauty. One is a brown and the other a soft pale yellow color.
Aiden's hand finds my back and he opens the carriage door for me. I step inside and then he gets in to sit next to me.
The carriage lurches forward in a jerking motion for a few seconds as the horses take off. Before the carriage just becomes a gentle rocking motion the rest of the time.
We pass by gardens and all the lovely flowers, before stately castles come into view.
I snuggle back into Aiden's embrace and look up to him. "This is beautiful."
"Not as beautiful as you are." Aiden smiles lightly and captures my lips lightly in a soft kiss.
When we pull back, I lay my head on his chest and his chin rests on the top of my head.
Once the ride is over, we walk up to our room and I see nothing but a huge bed in the shape of a heart. It makes me smile and I really wonder if this was on purpose or if Aiden is trying to tell me something once more. No, this is just because I told him yesterday evening.
"If your up for it I have a sweet treat for you." Aiden wraps his arms around me.
"I am more than ready. Figured we would be spending the rest of our time here though." I laugh.
"I figure to make good use for the bed tonight, but since we are only taking this two day mini vacation over night, I prefer to make the most of it all. Plus, works out great since there is hardly anyone here."
"Do you feel guilty that we are not helping with the clean up in our city?"
"I donated money towards it this morning. Since I don't know much about construction or the equiment they will be using within our city to clean up the damage."
It makes Aiden bury even deeper. What good is money if we don't donate it to help others.
"Besides, after your scare this is the least I can do. It also gives us time to just be together." Aiden kisses me again.
We set out and the valet brings his car back around, and we drive a short distance. Together we go into a chocolate factory and I can't help but laugh. Aiden knows how I have talked about bringing chocolate to our dates and his way is bringing me to the chocolate, to make up for all the times he might have should have brought it but didn't know.
Together we try so many different samples. My gums feel like nothing but sugar. Reminds me to make sure to brush it off my teeth and gums or they will rot but this was perfect.
For dinner, Aiden makes me laugh as he finds the smallest diner in the area. Knowing how I feel about the big fancy places. We talk lightly and laugh as we eat the greasiest foods we could find on the menu not giving a care in the world about health foods tonight. It is just us sharing this precious moments together.
"There is one last thing I would like to do before we go to the room for the night." Aiden looks at me once we get back to the motel.
"I am up for it." I smile.
The valet takes the car once more and then the same older gentleman from the carriage ride walks over to us with two different horses. These beauties are saddled and both are black in color. One comes up to me and I hold my hand out to pet down his mane. It is so soft that it surprises me.
Aiden helps me into the saddle before getting on the second horse.
"I will wait here for your returns." The older man smiles and lets the reigns go.
"Do you know how to ride?" Aiden looks to me.
"Yes I do." I smile. Just because I can't swim, doesn't mean my parents didn't put me in other things to learn.
Aiden gently sets out and I follow behind him. We set in a trot and I laugh as the wind blows through my hair. After a few minutes, Aiden slows his steed down and I follow suite. The horses walk through the small path in the forest before sand comes in sight.
One we emerge from the treeline, the beach in right in front of us and we stop the horses side by side. The sun is setting in front of us and makes everything glow. Holding onto the horn, I lean over as Aiden does and we kiss quickly.
Once we are sitting back up, I get the horse to step in front of Aiden's and then give a smirk. Before kissing sounds sound from my lips and gently pressing the horse to take off in a run. Looking back once, I see that Aiden done the same and we race down the beach side.
With a few minutes, I slow the horse to rest as Aiden stops next to me and we canter in a slow walk.
"Kelsie?" Aiden calls my name and I look from the sunset over the water back to Aiden.
"I love you." Aiden smiles and looks at me like I am his whole world. The same look he has been showing but even more intense from last night than I even thought possible.
My eyes tear up and I know without a doubt he means his words.
"You have taught me so much in such a short period. You have taught me love is true for me and not just a fantasy for myself."
I gently pull the reigns to stop the horse and he follows. I lean over and our lips capture each other, one of his hands find way into my hair.
"I love you so much Aiden."
"I love you Kelsie, you're my entire world." He smiles.
We take the horses back and go up to our room where there is nothing but a night together spent in passion as one. Not only our bodies merge as one but as does our hearts. I never want to let him go and know without a doubt Aiden is my forever.
