Chapter 21
Chapter 21
I was uncertain about how I would feel when Troy and I met after work. The conversation I overheard between Troy and Margarette was still fresh in my mind.
"Let's go home. I already ordered some food,” Troy said as we headed towards the highway to catch a taxi. I just nodded to what he said and said nothing. How can I get out of my mind all the things I heard earlier? After all, I'm not here with Tyreese for Troy. I'm here to be independent! But... damn it! I'm still confused!
Troy seemed to notice my silence and I could sense his gaze on me until we reached home. Upon seeing the food on the table "I'll fix the food first," I offered to prepare it. "Is there something wrong?" I was stunned by Troy's question, catching me off guard. I tried to brush off his question and act normal.
I didn't realize that he was already here in the dining area and was leaning on the sink with his arms crossed and looking at me.
"Nothing. Why?” I tried to ignore my feelings and acted normal. "Tell me,” He grumbled. I ignored him and continued to prepare the food until he grabbed my arm to stop me. I looked at him and I was almost consumed by his eyes that almost dug my whole being.
"I said it's nothing, Troy," I said firmly and moved my hand away from his grip. "You saw us?" he said which made me stop. He knew? So, he knows that I saw him earlier with Margarette? I looked at him seriously. "You know it and you're still asking?" I can't help being sarcastic. Damn! I am not Elisaria of Urzua Kingdom so I should stop being so sarcastic!
"You just saw us? You didn’t eavesdrop?” he confirmed. I frowned. So, he really didn't know! He was just guessing and I didn't think he was good at guessing!
“No way! Why would I? I have no interest in your affair with her!” I exclaimed, turning away to grab some water from the fridge. However, he grabbed my arm, forcing me to face him. Our faces were mere inches apart, and I could feel his breath on my skin. Being taller than me, I had to look up to meet his eyes.
“You're jealous,” he stated, making my cheeks burn with embarrassment. I denied being jealous and tried to push him away, but he held onto me tightly. Suddenly, he pushed me against the sink and leaned in closer, smirking at my reaction.
“You're clearly jealous, Eli,” he taunted, his smirk annoying me. I pushed him harder, but his strength rendered my efforts futile.
“I am not jealous, no matter what you say!” I retorted, looking away in frustration. He chuckled and lifted my chin to meet his gaze, his annoying smirk still present.
“Damn, you're so sexy…” he whispered before kissing me softly. The kiss stirred something within me, dispelling my previous doubts. What was it about him that made me feel this way? I couldn't pinpoint the exact emotions he evoked in me.
“Stop it, Troy. If you want Margarette, tell me now so I will not be confused,” I said earnestly. He looked at me, his green eyes betraying an emotion I couldn't quite decipher. Even after spending days together, he still seemed like a mystery to me.
“If I wanted Margarette, would I be here with you?” he replied, his gaze fixed on my lips as he traced them with his thumbs. His touch sent shivers down my spine, pulling me back into his spell.
“And what would you do if you wanted Margarette?” I challenged him. His wicked grin only deepened the mystery surrounding his intentions. Despite my confusion, there was something about him that kept drawing me in.
"I will go to her and kiss her," he whispered to me. I felt a sharp pain in my chest, but I ignored it. I tried to push him away, but he pulled me closer to him, caressing my jaw. Every part of my skin was yearning for his touch.
"Then go to her... now!" I said irritably. He raised an eyebrow and whispered in my ear, "But she is not the woman I want, Eli..." His words sent a surge of emotions through me. He kissed my cheek and gazed into my eyes, electrifying me with desire. "It is you I want, my princess…” he whispered seductively before kissing me passionately.
I didn't hesitate. I kissed him back with intensity, and he lifted me onto the sink. His hands explored my body, unhooking my bra and unzipping my pants. His touch made me shiver with anticipation. He groaned at my wetness but didn't stop kissing me, his hands moving over me eagerly.
Just as things were escalating, there was a knock on the door. My thoughts scattered as I realized someone was outside. Despite the interruption, Troy continued his advances, his focus on me as he entered a finger inside me. I couldn't help but groan in pleasure, even as the knocking persisted.
"Troy... there's someone outside the house," I said, nudging him slightly. He halted and let out a deep sigh, and I couldn't help but chuckle at his reaction. He seemed to be in a bad mood.
"Okay," he replied, heading towards the door. I went to the sink to straighten myself up, fixing my clothes and putting on my bra and zipping my pants. I followed Troy to the door and was surprised to see a man standing there. He glanced at me without much surprise, almost as if he had been expecting me. Who could this man be?
"Just come back tomorrow," Troy said firmly. The man nodded respectfully to Troy, which made me frown. Why was he showing such deference to Troy?
"Who is he?" I asked, prompting Troy to give me a cold look that he often did when he was trying to keep something hidden.
"Just someone I know," he replied evasively. I nodded. I looked at the man again. He smiled at me. "It's nice to meet you. I'm John," the guy introduced himself. I nodded and smiled. "I'm Eli," I said. He nodded and turned to Troy.
"I'm leaving, your Maje—"
"Just go," Troy interrupted him. John nodded and left, leaving me with a strange feeling. Why did I feel like I knew John from somewhere before? Could it have been in Tyreese? That seemed unlikely in Urzua. And why did John show such respect towards Troy, a commoner? It was all very perplexing.
"Let's go eat, Eli," Troy said, taking my hand and leading me to the dining room.
