Chapter 6
Chapter 6
I am amazed at how Troy managed to convince me to agree with his plans. Once again, we find ourselves at his house, which is in such a state of disarray that it is almost unrecognizable. Perhaps this is why he took advantage of my desperation to live here with Tyreese, regardless of the conditions or any trade-offs involved. The sight of the living area in his house, which is in complete disarray, leaves me speechless.
Troy turns to me, expecting me to already know what he wants from me. "To begin with, I want you to clean the living area," he says. I am shocked and overwhelmed as I look around, trying to figure out how to even begin cleaning this mess. "H-How would I clean this? I don't even know what it's like!” I can't help but voice my complaint.
Troy arches an eyebrow at me and playfully asks, "How is it possible that you don't know how to clean? Are you some kind of wealthy princess who ran away from home and never learned how to tidy up?" His words catch me off guard, and I am unsure if he is teasing or genuinely aware of my true identity! No, that's impossible! Humans are oblivious to the existence of werewolves!
"Oh, of course, I know how to clean! I was just concerned about tackling this immense mess in your house on my own," I panic and blurt out. Troy smirks at me, clearly amused. "That's not my problem anymore. You wanted to stay here, so you'll have to deal with it. I'm offering you a place to live for a while, and all you have to do is keep my house clean and follow my instructions. It's simple," he shrugs casually.
I clench my teeth in frustration. Simple? How can he say that? Damn him! But then... he's right. This is what I wanted, and I shouldn't be complaining like this. I need to stand by my decision. Don't worry, Elisaria, you can handle it! As I gaze at Troy, who has now moved on to the fridge to get some water, I can't help but wonder why he agreed to let me stay in his house when we hardly know each other. Is he crazy or just kind? I can't quite figure him out. There's something different about him compared to the others here in Tyreese. He’s just too mysterious for me.
"I just wanted to ask..." I trail off, my voice barely above a whisper. He glances at me as he takes a sip of water. Damn it, I can't tear my eyes away from him. He looks so attractive just casually drinking his water! The way his Adam's apple moves... it's unbearable...
"What is it?" he asks after swallowing his water. I quickly avert my gaze, feeling as though he can read my thoughts just by looking into my eyes. I am grateful that mind-linking is only possible among werewolves during their transformation and not for humans!
"I asked you last night why I couldn't stay here any longer, and now you suddenly want me to stay?" I questioned. He paused for a moment as if trying to recall his decision. "Well... normally I wouldn't just let anyone stay at my house," he admitted. "But... I thought maybe having a roommate who could also help with cleaning would be beneficial since I don't have much time for household chores anymore due to my multiple jobs," he continued. I cringed at his response. Is that it? He just wants a servant to clean his house and follow his orders, so he's allowing me to stay. He's quite arrogant for someone who isn't well off, isn't he?
"If you don't have any further questions, you can start cleaning. I'm going to rest in my room," he stated, placing the water back in the fridge. "I don't have any more questions," I shook my head. He nodded and turned to enter his room.
Holding my breath, I surveyed the living area. I may not know where to start exactly, but I'm not completely clueless when it comes to cleaning. Despite being a princess, I've learned a thing or two about tidying up from my friends. In fact, my maids have become my friends, and whenever they clean, they allow me to observe and chat with them.
Hence, armed with the cleaning supplies I had anticipated needing, I began my task. I started by tackling the clutter, gathering items in a box - separating those that were no longer needed from those that could still be of use. Afterward, I proceeded to mop the couches and wipe down the center table, even taking the time to arrange the flower vase that adorned it. As the heat became increasingly stifling, I tied up my hair to alleviate some of the discomfort.
My stomach grumbled, reminding me that it was nearing lunchtime and I was quite famished. Swiftly sweeping the floor, I then proceeded to mop. However, I encountered some difficulty as the excess water from my mopping efforts led to a slightly flooded floor. Cleaning seemed much easier when I observed my servants doing it, but now I realized the true challenge.
Fortunately, I quickly learned the proper technique for mopping, squeezing the mop before wiping it on the floor. Exhausted, I nearly stumbled onto the floor when I finished. It had taken almost two hours to complete the cleaning. Surveying the area, a sense of pride washed over me. The space had been transformed into a lively living area due to my efforts. Seeing the successful outcome of my cleaning was truly satisfying.
Weary, I sank onto the couch, glancing at the wall clock which showed it was already one in the afternoon. What was Troy doing? Did he not plan on having lunch? My hunger grew, I waited patiently for a short while, but when fifteen minutes had passed and Troy still hadn't emerged, I couldn't resist the urge to stand up and approach his room. Simply knocking and calling out to him wouldn't hurt, would it?
I took a deep breath before rapping on Troy's door three times. "Troy?" I called out, but there was no response. Is he still sleeping? But he was in his room for a long, right? I knocked again, this time with a series of firm thuds. "Troy? It's already past lunchtime!" I exclaimed, knocking once more. Perhaps my knocks were a bit too forceful, as the door swung open unexpectedly.
Wait... it wasn't locked! "Troy?" I peered cautiously into the dark room. It was so dim that I could hardly see anything inside. All I noticed was the lingering smell of his manly scent, but overall, it was a murky sight. Growing impatient, I finally stepped into his room, searching for the light switch. Once found, I flicked it on, revealing Troy's disheveled bed. It seemed like he had just gotten up from lying down.
But hold on... where was Troy? Why did it appear as if there was no one in the room? My thoughts halted abruptly when suddenly... the bathroom door swung open. Troy emerged, causing my jaw to nearly drop at the sight of him.
"What the heck..." I gasped audibly. Who would react with a curse upon seeing someone naked?!
"What on fuck are you doing here?!" Troy quickly reached for his towel, while I struggled to cover my eyes in disbelief. Damn it! I had just witnessed his nudity and... and... damn it! I had no idea it was that... big!
"I-I'm sorry! I've been calling out to you and there was no response—"
"Really, or were you simply hoping to catch a glimpse of my dick?" he boldly retorted. My lips parted, and out of annoyance, I shot him a glare. To my horror, his towel accidentally slipped off, exposing himself once again.
"Fuck!" I heard him curse, and I couldn't help but sprint out of his room. Fuck!
