3 ~ A Wolf's Kingdom

Cassandra POV

“What's so special in her?”

His voice was rough, dominating and powerful. It made me feel weak in my knees.

“My Lord, she is the Princess of the Reges Empire,” The slave master said.

“Was,”

He corrected him, looking offended.

“Yes my Lord, but she is denying to accept slavery,”

He stood up suddenly and walked a little closer to me.

My heartbeats raced insanely as he stood closer to me. He was so much taller than me that I could hardly reach upto his chest. I tilted my head backwards to meet my eyes with him. Slowly his fingers touched the strands of my hair tucking them behind my ear.

“The slaves don’t have the authority to accept or object. They just do what their master says,” His lips moved in a sync and my stomach fluttered. God knew what kind of feeling this was. I never felt it. It was like his aura was killing me in a different way.

The people in the hall laughed.

“On your knees,”

His hot and slow voice ordered and I felt knots in my stomach. I blinked nervously.

“His highness ordered you to be on your knees, right now,” The slave master interrupted with an egoistic tone.

I broke the gaze, shaking my head in a ‘No’.

“You are his butler not me. I am a goddamn princess,” My voice was slow but enough to highlight my challenge and I did mean it.

He might have killed my brother and won the Empire but I haven't accepted my loss yet.

The people laughed again.

Inside, I was feeling hell frightened but in no condition I was going to get myself insulted like this. Sitting on knees in front of him would mean the complete loss of my Empire. I would prefer to be in jail, punishments or death but not this.

“Seems like you need to be taught how whore behaves,” The slave master said and turned me to him. His hand reached to the hem of my dress on the shoulder and tried to tear it.

My blood boiled and before he could tear my clothes. My hand reached to the waist of the king, pulling out the dagger from its sheath, I passed it through his fingers.

He screamed with pain and the blood stuck to my clothes and skin a little. He fell on his knees holding his hand but then his eyes darted on me with anger. His eyes again changed colors and I saw his sharp canines again.

I was scared to death and took a few steps backwards.

I screamed when his fingers turned into claws with sharp nails. Hair grew on his body all of sudden. His skin was changing with some fur of brown color. His size also grew and I could hear the breaking of bones.

I cried, my back hit King’s chest.

“Oh my God!,” I'm scared as hell.

What the hell was happening?

Suddenly the loud and powerful growl travelled down my ear and I shivered. The man turned into an animal in front of me. I remember he was the slave master a few moments ago but now he was a big dog or maybe a wolf.

“Pleas...please… leave me,”

I begged.

He growled again and almost jumped over me. His face was close to me. His eyes burned with anger and my tears fell continuously from my eyes.

“I am sorry,”

I cried even more, my fingers unknowingly gripped the King's apparels.

Suddenly, the wolf growls even more and almost jumped over me. I fell on the ground. He put his one paw on my stomach and I screamed.

The volcano of tears bursted as I saw the horrifying creature in front of me.

His face came closer to eat me and suddenly.

"Stop,"

The heart wrecking sound was heard by everyone and I shivered.

But, the animal's eyes were intense and scary as hell. My lips trembled insanely and I felt unbearable pain in my stomach as his sharp nails dug into my skin a little.

I screamed.

"Beta Lucas,"

I noticed the King's voice.

I shut my eyes close as I was able to feel my death around. I remembered my brother, my life from starting to till now. The flashes of my beautiful and hard moments played in front of me. And then suddenly, one more big animal's growl made me insanely scared.

My sight fell on another and bigger animal, a wolf, of dark brown color. He ran and instantly attacked the other wolf. I crawled to the feet of the king excusing myself.

The flood of tears made my face warm, lips swollen and scared.

I looked at those two big dogs fighting each other, the dark brown one dominating the other as he bit his neck.

The crowd was insane, laughing and enjoying it.

Where the hell am I? And what kind of people they are? I looked at my skin and flowing red blood doubting if I was alive or this was hell. You know the program happens after death.

The other wolf looked tired and exhausted after the fight. He crawled on his back and growled in pain. His bones again broke and reconstructed to a human being. He was bleeding and his stark naked body came into my vision.

I moved my gaze instantly to the King who said.

"Heal yourself,"

I tried to stand up on my legs again. But, my stomach was bleeding and it was painful as hell. My heart beats were getting slow.

Holding the clothes of the king, I balanced myself to stand.

"Thank you,"

I tried to say.

My eyes met him. Those deep oceans who seem unaffected with whatever happened. As if he was familiar and aware of all this.

Now, one thing was for sure. These people weren't normal. These people were powerful beyond what I could imagine. And I was in deep trouble.

I felt his hand close to my chin. He brushed my lips lightly with his thumb and I felt goosebumps. I blinked nervously.

"What's your name?" His cold voice travelled down my ear.

The moment his lips moved to say those few words. My heart beats raced insanely. It was like, I couldn't take my eyes off of those slightly dark red lips and his glowing bright skin. He looked extremely dangerous like that. A tall, white man with devilish features and in all black attire. His aura was darker than Black and bolder than coal.

"What's your name? Slave?"

"Cassandra Reges, I ain't a Slave. I am the Princess of Reges," I felt slightly offended by that word.

He brushed my lips softly.

"But, there is no Kingdom now, so you aren't a princess anymore, dear," his voice was slow and convincing, enough to make me agree even in a fraction of a moment.

"There is a Kingdom. The Reges Kingdom, until I am alive," I challenged him.

"How old are you?"

"About to be eighteen soon," I told proudly.

"Seems like your brain is still childish. I won't let anyone kill you until you say that this kingdom belongs to King Ryan Castro yourself. Till then, you are completely safe from other men but me. Sleep tight, one last time, and from tomorrow onwards learn how to keep a King happy. I am making you my slave because I would love to see fierceness getting killed slowly and slowly," his voice slowly audible to me only but enough to race my heartbeats insanely. It did affect me two-sidedly. One was fear and the other was a challenge.

"You cannot break me," I stated.

Tears rolled down my eyes even more, feeling pain in my stomach.

He leaned in closer to my ear and muttered.

"I will and trust me, I like to fuck in the most uncomfortable positions,"

Suddenly, my weakened knees refused to stand more. My trembling fingers held his clothes tightly and before I could process clearly what he said, I fell to the ground, unconscious.
