He nodded, aggreeing at me.

Now that we are talking about this topic, it sometimes crossed me, but not to that extent. I looked at Gusev, watching as his eyes held an uknown emotion. He must have some deep connection with humans to be affected like this.

Although he's never serious, this is the first time I seen him taking this topic seriously.

He lived for more decades than me so it’s obviously him that has the more experience living with the humans. He stayed longer in this world. He must have seen everything and experienced everythhing.

He then browsed on some movies and squeeled in delight seeing a certain on, "You know harry potter?" he asked, "This is my fave."

I remembered Alpha Magnus mentionning that yesterday. I glanced at the keychain he gave me. If I’m not mistaken, it was a character named called Remus Lupin? I was on the verge of throwing it in the trash can, but not Louisa thretening me that she will stop doing my work if I will continue throwing it.

Almiro left us and returned with some food on his hand and some popcorn, “I heard eating would add excitement when watching,”

Gusev grinned, “Yes, that is so nice of you Almiro! I knew I could depend on you!”

“Thank you, Almiro, you could join us here.” I said, patting on the sofa as Gusev arranged it into more comfier. He added blankets and pillows to it. Almiro nodded and sat beside Gusev so now, Gusev was between us.

I raised my eyebrows at the vampire, “When were you buddy buddy with my loyal body guard?”

He shrugged, positioning himself comfortably on the sofa and grabbed a handful of popcorn, “

The whole day, we finished the whole series of Harry potter. I didn’t know how exciting it was and very amusing…I see why humans get addicted to it.

Never did in my life think that my attention to something would go beyond…I’m glad Gusev offered to do this today…

As for Gusev, he kept on commenting, “Is this how humans perceive us?" he asked the whole time, disbelief on his face.

“I thought you already watched this? You said its your favorite?”

“Well, I did a few decades ago, but I forgot it that it shocked me again.”

I chuckled at his reaction. I was surprised to even get to spend time calmly with Gusev.

“I need to stand guard outside, Alpha.” Said Almiro, standing up . He also enjoyed the movie and stayed the whole duration.

I nodded, “Yes, but you can chill out today, no need to get serious Almiro.”

He nodded and waled away.

As Gusev and I were left alone, he seems to be thinking deep, and something in the air around him changed.

"Are you alright?" I asked as his mood changed.

"I met this human a few years ago..” He started, “She's so lovely, but she died today because of old age... I guess this is my fate, seeing some woman die in front of me."

I gasped, not knowing he had been experinecing that. We really could not judge someone. So its true what they say….Behind every smile is pain…

"Do you hate being a vampire?" I couldn’t help but ask him.

"At first, I didnt…but time has changed…and now, yes, I hate it so much. I don't enjoy drinking blood anymore and I get sick of it." He said, his tone staying neutral but I know better than that. He’s hiding his pain behind his bubbly and jolly attitude. “That is why imagine the happiness I had when I met you again.”

I nodded, giving him my hand, “You can drink for today.”

His head instanlty snapped at me, his eyes and mouth so wide in shock, “What did you say?”

I sighed and repeated, “I said you can drink.”

He gulped, glacing at my hand and biting his lip, “Are you sure? Did you eat anything today? You’re strangely nice…for some reason.”

I scoffed at his comment, “Alright, I think you don’t want-”

“I do!” He immediately yelled. “I really appreciate it!”

I nodded, “Alright, just for today."

He nodded, slowly grabbing my hand and looked at it, smelling it, before I could feel a sharp fangs hitting my hand. He closed his eyes savoring he flavor and gulped at every sip, and I watched silently as the television in front of us played the credits part of the movie.

It took a minute for him until he stopped. He dropped my hand and licked his lips, wiping away any blood left from hs mouth and sighed in relief. “Ah, that was one of the most delicious meal I had! Thank you, Kamilah!”

I nodded.

“Shall I have this again?”

I shook my head, “No, I’m not your juicebox.”

He chuckled, “I know, and once Alpha Magnus will know it, he’ll definitely shake in jealousy.” He smiled giddily, hatching an evil plan.

“I shouldn’t have let you drink then, don’t go parading around and tell anyone.”

He zipped his mouth, “Yes, I won’t tell, but I’ll tease Magnus about this.”

I sighed, really. He’s still the teasing Gusev we know no matter what.

“You’re not losing energy?” He asked, “I mean I drank alot.”

I shook my head, “No, I’m completely fine.”

He nodded, “I see, I guess that’s one of the perks of being an alpha…”

Now that he’s full, Gusev fixed the sofa and returned all the blankets and pillows, humming a happy tune to himself. He then decided to leave instanlty and show off what happened to Magnus, despite my warnings.

Just then, the door opened, and I could just hear on the footsteps that its Louisa.

She walked with a straight face, buried her head on the sofa, and yelled in the pillow.

“What happened? Did you date go wrong?”

She stood up and a big grin was on her face, “Yes! I made sure to be hard to get!”

I blinked, “What?”

“Well, I did what you are doing to Alpha Magnus…playing hard to get and see if he wil react the same as Alpha Magnus chasing after you….and I’m sure he will!”

I chuckled, “Wow, so you took me as an example?”

“Yup! I gotta say, your play to hard skills are top notch! So men like that, huh?”

I just shook my head, really. My case is different. I am not just playing hard to get. I seriously, don’t want to get involved with men like Alpha Magnus again.

Just then, my phone rang, notifiying me about a donation to my orphanage, an orphanage I built for the homeless children here in the Springfield called Ziraili Orphanage.

Checking it, my mouth left my jaw, seeing that it was 10 million donation. It was sent by someone without a name, just anonymous.

Just then, the business email I had notified too.

“Hey, I sent a donation to your orphanage. I hope you like it <3”

It was sent anonymously, but I already know it would be Alpha Magnus. Wow, he just donated that ten million? That was quite large sum, I admit.

Louisa suddenly got behind me and took a peek on my phone, “Ohh, speaking of the devil…” Her eyes then widened, “Ten million donation? Come on, I didn’t expected him to be that crazy rich!” She shook her head at me, “You need to thank him…”

I raised my eyebrows, “Why? It was him to willingly do it.”

She cocked her head, “Come on! Your man just dontaed that huge amount, don’t you need to do something?”

I stared at her deadpan, “He’s not my man.”

“Oh yes he will. in the future, mark my words, Alpha Kamilah.” I just rolled my eyes, ignoring Louisa’s comments. Of course, it bothered me a bit…but what can I do? He donated willingly….
