Bad Decisions

“I can’t do this. I don't want to force you. I know you are feeling shocked that's why you’re saying that” he continued, before adding, “I want to marry you first before we do it. It would be special that way.”

And with that, he quickly went to shower.

What just…happened?

I let my mind wander, calming myself down. Gosh, we almost…did it!

We were enveloped into an awkward silence when Magnus came back.

“So…what do you want to watch?” He broke the silence, acting casual now. Like everything that happened earlier was just my dream.

I looked at him, seeing him sitting on

the ground and I asked, “Why are you on the ground?”

He shook his head like a little kid, “Nothing.”

I patted on the empty space beside me, “You can sit here, Magnus.”

Still hardheaded, he shook his head, “But I don’t trust myself. I’m afraid I can’t stop myself-“

I cut his sentence off, “I trust you won’t do anything to me, Magnus. Now here.”

He immediately obeyed my commanding voice and went to sit beside me. Minutes later, he lay down on my lap, using it as his pillow. I stroked his hair while we watched the movie. We had ordered room service and snacks earlier since we got hungry. It’s midnight after all.

Eion drank his medicine beside me for his heart disease since it was still present, “The doctor said I have to be careful now. I have to stop feeling so happy these days..” he said after a while.

“But I’m just so happy because of you… you're my cure, kamilah.”

Biting on the crackers I had in my mouth, I commented at him, “That's so cheesy, Magnus.”

“But please, listen to your doctor so you can recover soon,” I added.

And we stayed like that, chilling and watching the movie when it ended and Magnus decided to sleep on the ground. He had called for an extra mattress earlier and his bed was set up now with only a pillow.

“Why? You should sleep here with me too, Magnus.” I said, “The pillow is so nice here and it would be bad of me to have it all to myself. You paid for it all after all.” I tried to reason it out but he wouldn’t listen.

He gazed at me, “Do you know what you're talking about, babe? Do you know what situation you are in? You want the thing that happened earlier to continue?” He asked. “That was very dangerous, kamilah. Please don’t tell that to me again.”

“This is a bad decision. We should not be in the same room next time, kamilah.” He said. “It’s bad for my heart.”

I just chuckled at that. Really, he’s

overreacting. Am I really that predictable in his eyes?

He’s really whipped. To think I even doubted him for cheating when he was this loyal to me.

I don’t even know what time we slept, but Magnus just extended our stay, so we probably stayed in the hotel for a week, making the most of everything.

DIMITRI’S POV

I want to be alone now.

I just lost my mate from the past few days. I spent all my time working my ass off, just to forget about it.

My heart felt like it’s going to reap out of my chest. I couldn’t even hear anything, sense anything.

I felt numb.

And just when I thought I won’t cry, I really cried…

Just then, I felt my eyes suddenly engulfed in darkness. I felt soft hands covering my eyes, and I heard the person from beside me giggling.

“Uhm…who is this? I don’t have time for this, whoever you are.” I said irritatedly. People really are testing me these days. And I felt really angry at almost everyone.

Not that it's unusual. I’m just stressed out that while my master, Alpha Magnus went to honeymoon with his mate, I was left to take charge in his office as usual.

Well, I accepted this task. So I should do my best and not complain here.

Work and work.

“Try to guess first and I’ll loosen my grip.” Said the voice, still covering my eyesight.

Is he dumb? I could sense the person covering my eyesight right now. It was Gusev.

I breathed deeply, “Gusev, don’t test me right now or I’ll kill you.”

The person huffed before losing his grip on me. I blinked at the sudden brightness and turned to look at the person.

“Tsk, loosen up.”

I glared at him, “Try losing your mate and maybe I’ll try too.”

He seemed taken aback and stopped, “I did. I did lose her…”

He then sat at the chair in front of me, “Anyways, I am here to introduce you to someone.”

“What? Can’t you sense I’m working?” I pointed at the pile of paperworks in front of me.

He raised his eyebrows at me, “Working yourself to death? Yes. You need to unwind. I have someone for you to meet.”

It was the tri-blood.

Erszebet.

She smiled at me, “Hi, Dimitri..” she then sent a flower to me, “Uhm…I’ll give you this.”

“Thanks,” I glanced at Gusev who was smirking and he whispered, “You’re welcome, now I gotta go. I have other missions to finish.”

“See ya, Erzebet!” He waved at her.

Erszebet smiled and then looked at me, “I’m-really sorry-“

“If you’re here to say about her death, then please stop.” I snapped, tired of hearing that.

“Oh, my mistake.” She said. “But I just want to say something…I’ve been admiring you.” Her cheeks blushed.

I blinked, But what about Almiro? I thought she wants him? The two have been always together?

“And Almiro? Isn’t he your mate?” I asked. Goodness, I just lost my own and now, another man’s woman is approaching me. I am not wanting to be involved in infidelity.

“What? No!” She denied. “He just likes being around me, we’re just friends.”

At that, a knock came to my door and I opened it to see Almiro, with an angry face.

“Gusev, you’re stealing my girl.” He snapped, which shocked both of me and Erszebet.

“What do you mean? I thought were are just friends.” Almiro gritted his teeth, “Let’s find out in the blood moon then.

I looked at the trouble in front of me. Wow. Getting caught up in another situation again.

I just want to die now.
