Harley drives the Jeep they got from the parking lot down a paved, single lane road along the mountainside. Rayna looks out her window at the large lake below them and stares in awe at it's beauty. Harley glances at her from the drivers seat when he can, and he smiles at her visible excitement.
After a few minutes of the thin, winding road, they turn a corner to reveal a cabin.
It's bewitching. Dark wood and stone, modern but also connected with nature. It has a porch going around three sides of the cabin as far as Rayna can see, and one side even opened up to the valley below with a great view through the trees, while the other sides were surrounded by thick pines. On the front porch next to the door sits their luggage.
As soon as Harley parks the Jeep, Rayna jumps out and looks around.
The landscape was astonishing. She'd never seen anything like it. There was so much green and blue and brown in such a vibrancy. She smiles brightly as she takes in the sights and smells around her.
Harley turns off the Jeep and walks up behind Rayna, wrapping his arms around her waist. She leans back into his chest.
"What do you think, baby?" he asks.
"It's beautiful," she whispers.
"Now you know how I feel when I look at you."
She blushes and chuckles.
"Stop it," she whines comedically.
"But it's true," he says, doubling down. He gives her a kiss on the top of her head. "Let's go check out the cabin, yeah?"
Rayna smiles and nods. Harley lets go of her, and she runs up onto the porch like a child. She eagerly tries to open the door, but it's locked. Harley chuckles softly and pulls out the keys from his pocket. He jumps up the steps and unlocks the door.
Rayna opens the door and is once again in awe.
The walls are made out of wood—as expected—and there are beautiful pieces of furniture and decor adding to it.
It first opens up to a small living room with a large TV over a fireplace, a couch made out of white fabric with wood frames, two matching chairs on either side, and a matching glass coffee table in the middle on top of a matching rug.
Next to the door is a large coat closet. Lining the walls are all sorts of pictures of the park and animals that live there.
Past the living room is the kitchen, separated by a bar counter. Along the exterior wall is all of the cabinets and kitchen appliances with a window above the sink. In the middle is a dining table similar to the coffee table in the living room and four wooden chairs surrounding it.
Then, there are three doors.
"Lemme show you the rooms," Harley says, walking past Rayna. She nods and follows after him.
He opens the first door to reveal a small office of sorts. It has a large map of the park on one wall, a wardrobe, a small couch, and a desk with an office chair.
"I promise that I'm not going to be working a lot, but when I have the time to, I'm gonna get some work done in here."
"Okay," Rayna responds with a nod.
They move onto the next door, which is just the bathroom. It has a bathtub and a separate glass shower, and Rayna realizes that there aren't any curtains, and you can completely see through the glass of the shower.
Last but not least is the bedroom.
It has a large, four poster bed in the middle with a nightstand on either side and wall made completely out of glass overlooking the valley below. There's another door, too. There's a small cubby hole with a bunch of different decor, like rocks and fake plants, and also a dresser. There's another TV, though it's smaller than the one in the living room.
"This is our bedroom. Don't be scared of the glass—it's practically indestructible, and there's no one out here to look inside. That door is to our walk in closet," Harley explains.
Rayna smiles and nods. She walks over to the window and looks out at the amazing view they have from their room. First, there's the porch, but last that is the tree tops going down, the lake, and then another mountain.
"Do you like it?" Harley asks.
She turns around, smiles, and runs over to him, launching herself into his arms. Her holds her tightly, and she gives him a kiss on the cheek.
"I take that as a yes?"
She nods.

They take their luggage inside and spend some time unpacking everything. There's already food in the cabin for them, so Harley cooked them up and quick but tasty lunch.
After they eat, they get ready for their first activity in the park.
Harley leads Rayna outside, and a different, ran colored Jeep with no roof, the doors taken off, a large, official park ranger sticker on the front, and a siren pulls up. It parks next to Harley's Jeep, and a woman dressed in a park ranger uniform steps out.
"Hello, King, Queen," the ranger says respectfully with a bow. "My name is Olivia, and I'll be showing you two around the park today. It will be a five hour long tour, and we will see most of the park."
Rayna nods, and Harley starts walking over to the Jeep. She follows him, and he opens the door for her. With a bit of a struggle, she gets in. Harley walks around the vehicle and sits next to Rayna, holding her hand.

Five hours later, the two are back at the cabin. The clock reads 6:14.
"That was really was really fun!" Rayna exclaims, laying down on the bed.
"Mhm. Yeah," Harley agrees, sitting next to her.
Rayna moves so that her head is in Harley's lap, and he begins running his fingers through her hair, causing her to him and close her eyes.
"Are you hungry?" he asks. She shakes her head. "What do you wanna do until you are?"
She shrugs.
The tour was really fun. Rayna enjoyed seeing all of the different sights, and she also noted how Harley acted around their tour guide. He seemed to already know everything she was saying, and he would even add things that she would then comment on either forgetting or not knowing.
"You've been here before, haven't you?" she asks.
"Yeah. I went on tons of vacations like this as a kid. Ophelia never liked going to parks, but Frank loved taking me here to do father-son stuff. At least until Luke got old enough—then I was usually on my own whenever we went on trips like this. I spent my time learning about the park instead."
Rayna nods and reaches for his hand. He smiles softly as she runs her thumb along his knuckles.
After a few minutes, Rayna sits up and they go eat supper. The sun sets a few hours later, and Harley says he has a surprise for her. He blindfolds her and carries her outside and onto the cabin porch. He sets her down, places her hands on the railing, and takes the blindfold off.
She gasps in shock and her jaw drops in awe.
In front of her is the beautiful night sky. The moon is fully visible, along with hundreds of thousands of stars. They illuminate the tree tops and reflect off the lake. They stay out there for an hour or so, as Harley had pulled out a book of constellations and they were trying to find them.
As they crawl into bed that night, Rayna smothers Harley with kisses.
"What's this for?" he asks, chuckling.
"Planning the best vacation ever," she tells him as if it's obvious.
He smiles brightly and holds her tightly.
"Thank you so much, sweetheart. That really means a lot to me."
"Mhm," she hums with a nod, wrapping an arm around him.

Rayna ends up waking up at 6 A.M. the next morning, andHarley is still asleep. She silently slips out of bed and into the kitchen. She looks through the cupboards and finds everything she needs before making pancakes for her and Harley.
Harley wakes up half an hour later, and they eat the pancakes together before getting ready for the day.
At 8 o'clock, they hop in the Jeep at Harley drives Rayna to a surprise spot.
They head down the mountain, towards the lake and park with just a thin layer of trees between them and the lake, so Rayna knows where they are. Harley leads her through the trees to reveal a dock, and at the end is a boat with a tour guide on it. He tips his hat.
"King, Queen," the tour guide greets with a bow as they walk onto the dock. "My name is Alfred, but you can call me Alfie. Today, I'll be taking you on an all day boat tour."
Rayna smiles and skips down the dock to the boat. Harley, being protective, helps her on, and they're off. Of course, Harley also made sure Rayna out sunscreen on.
They were on the water all day, and they got to see the parts of the park they hadn't seen the day before. A couple times they stopped at little beaches and sand bars and swam for a few minutes. One had a picnic table so they ate lunch there. Alfie gave the, a map and they saw all sorts of animals. Little eyes in the trees, fish in the water, birds in the air. This time, the tour guide knew just as much as Harley.
They didn't get back to the dock until six. They hopped back in the Jeep and headed back up to the cabin for supper. Not long after they ate, Rayna insisted on swimming again, so they did. Harley made them head back before it got dark though.
Like the night before, they went to bed happy as ever.

The third day, the roles are reversed. Rayna awakens to Harley making breakfast for them.
After they eat, Harley tells her to dress in clothes that cover her legs and arms and isn't too loose, and then tells her to put on the boots he got her. As Rayna had guessed by then, they spent the day hiking. As tiring as it was, she enjoyed it, and Harley did, too.
They enjoyed the fresh air and physical activity, and they got to see amazing sights at the tops of mountains. It was beautiful and overall refreshing for the both of them. Also, for about an hour after lunch, they went on a run in their wolf forms for about an hour. Their wolves got to play and stretch and run. Their wolves had fun, too.
They went stargazing again that night as well.

The fourth day rolls around—the last day Harley has planned.
He says it's a pretty relaxing day, so they sleep in late.
Around nine, they put on their swimsuits and drive down to the dock to swim until they got hungry for lunch. Rayna was wearing a cute, light blue bikini while Harley wore black swim trunks.
At one point, Harley was laying his ass off because Rayna had screamed and gotten scared by a little fish, but then it was Rayna's turn because he slipped and fell into the water.
After lunch, they cuddle in the bed and watch old Criminal Minds together. It's gonna take Rayna forever to catch up with Emmett and the rest of the world on the show, but she doesn't care.
Speaking of Emmett, she wonders how everyone's doing.
After that episode, she and Harley FaceTime home. They say yellow to Keane, Naomi, Emmett, Calum, Savvy, and evening Jamie, Hazel, Jayce, and Danny. Not Jake, though. He wasn't there, and Rayna doesn't want to see him if he was.
They all ask how their vacation is so far, and Rayna excitedly talks all about what they've done the past few days and how happy they are. They explain that everything's been good. Rayna's preparations for the River Shine Pack are coming along nicely, and everyone has been getting along besides Jake. Rayna notices how that makes Emmett a hit distant, so she brings up that they were watching Criminal Minds which made her think of him, making him smile.
After the call ends, Rayna discovers something board games in the cabin. She and Harley play them outside for a while.
Once they had played each game at least twice, it's time for supper. As they eat, Rayna wonders what Harley's plan is for tonight, as they haven't done anything planned yet today. She asks, and he says it's a surprise, just like everything else has been.
They get ready after they're finished eating, and Harley blindfolds Rayna after they hop in the Jeep.
Roughly fifteen minutes later, Harley parks and gets out of the Jeep. He lifts Rayna out and carries her for a minute or so. The cold night air nips at her, making her glad she took her mates advice and wore warm clothes.
He sets her down and takes the blindfold off. He loves surprising her, because every time, she has the same amazed reaction.
Gasp, wide eyes, dropped jaw.
In front of her is a ski lift of one of the parks many ski resorts with all of the lights lit, and somehow, there's even lights on some of the ski chairs. They're moving slowly, and it looks really pretty.
Rayna hugs Harley and thinks him before they hop on the lift. They sit there, high in the air, talking, enjoying the envies, and even making out for nearly three hours. They only stopped when they did because their fingers and toes were getting cold.
They warm up by the fire together and have a few drinks before heading to bed.
*~*~*~*
The fifth day. The first day Harley doesn't have a plan for.
They stayed up late the night before, so Rayna doesn't wake up until around ten. Harley is still asleep.
She smiles as she takes him in. His tan skin, his messy, light brown hair, the slight stubble growing on his face. She cups his face and runs her thumb along his cheek, waking him up. He smiles and opens his eyes to see Rayna right in front of him.
Rayna giggles as Harley hums and closes his eyes again.
After a while, they eventually get out of bed and eat breakfast. They relax on the couch and watch some TV together. Harley picks this time, meaning they aren't watching Criminal Minds again.
After they eat lunch around one in the afternoon, Rayna takes a shower. Then, she thinks of what she wants to do today.
She gets dressed and walks up to Harley, who's working in his office.
"I wanna paint today," she tells him.
He turns around to face her. "That's a good idea, baby. I'm pretty sure there're some painting supplies in that coat closet. Where're you gonna paint?"
"Probably outside."
"Mhm . . . Maybe I could join you and take some pictures," he suggests.
"Yeah!" Rayna agrees enthusiastically.
So, they spent the day pursuing their hobbies. Harley took pictures all around. And Rayna painted the view of the lake and valley from the porch.
That night, Rayna wonders what they're gonna do tomorrow. Maybe they'll go swimming, or hiking, or she'll paint again. Little does she know, her wolf already has a plan . . .
