Chapter 21 Lilly and Wallace

Luther's POV

Five months later

Luna Laura has worked hard restoring the tribe lands with the help of George and the tinks. Sammie and Shelby helped her more than anyone. That is why it did not surprise anyone when Laura surrendered her crown to Sammie. Laura felt Sammie would be the perfect queen. Sammie took over the responsibility of George and helping him become a fairy and a wolf.

Only a few fairies remained in the wolf territory, but today they have all returned. Bido and Sammie both have been with Luna Laura all day. Her labor has been long and strenuous on her. I have feed her ice and rubbed her back. She has cried and screamed, but I, not Sammie, have left her side over the last twenty-four hours.

"How is she doing?" I ask Bido as he examines her.

"She is getting closer," Bido says to me. Laura lies on her side in so much pain. There is nothing I can do for her but be here for her.

"You said that hours ago," I say to Bido.

"This is a hybrid birth, and I am going the best I can. Your pack doctor should be here when the baby comes in case the baby is a wolf, instead of a hybrid," Bido says.

"Is that a possibility?" I ask.

"Anything is possible," Bido says.

Laura rolls over onto her back. "Laura, you have to stay on your side," I say to her gently.

"I have to move. I feel like I need to move. Something is happening," she cries.

Bido moves the covers to help adjust Laura. There is blood everywhere. "Something is wrong," Bido says.

"Help her," I say.

Bido turns to Sammie. "Get the pack doctor here now, Sammie," Bido says.

We adjust Laura in the bed. "I need to move, I need to move," Laura says.

We prop Laura up in a sitting position. A sudden gush of water comes out of her. Laura sighs. "I told you," Laura says, and then she screams out in pain.

"The baby is finally coming, " Bido says.

I hold Laura's hand as she moves into a position to push. Bido looks between Laura's legs. He feels inside her. "Finally, I can feel the baby's head. Push Laura," Bido says.

Laura begins to push. I hold her hand and talk to her as she pushes. Sammie comes in with the pack doctor just as the baby comes out. He is not crying. Bido hands the baby to the pack doctor.

"It is a little wolf boy," the pack doctor says.

"Something is happening," Laura says. She lays back. She is hurting again and breathing hard. "Are you listening to me, Bido?" she screams at him.

" Laura, you are fine. It is over," Bido says.

"NO, IT IS NOT! THERE IS ANOTHER ONE!" Laura screams.

Bido feels between Laura's legs. "oh my god, she is right, there is another baby," Bido says.

"How in the hell did you not know she was having twins," I scream at Bido.

"Hey, I am a fairy doctor, not a hybrid doctor. This is a first for me, too," Bido defends himself.

Laura begins to push. She tries so hard to push, but the baby is not moving. The pack doctor moves over and checks Laura. "This is going to hurt Laura, but I have to help the baby out of you," the pack doctor says.

"Just do it," she screams.

I hold her hand as the pack doctor works on her and moves the baby inside her. "Push now!" he says to her.

Laura screams out in pain. "I cannot do this anymore!" She cries.

"Yes, you can, Laura, push. Your baby is in trouble. Now be a good mother and push this baby out!" the pack doctor says to her.

Laura pushes as hard as she can. A moment later, a crying, screaming baby is born. "A little girl, hybrid," he says. He takes her.

"Are they okay?" Laura asks.

"Yes," Bido answers her.

Sammie flutters over to Laura. She kisses Laura's cheek. "You did wonderfully," Sammie says.

Bido brings the little hybrid over to Laura, and the pack doctor hands me the little boy. "Our future Alpha and his beautiful sister," I say.

"How do you know she won't be the Alpha?" Laura teases me.

"You are right. She could be our future Alpha," I say to her.

Laura looks our daughter over. " Lilly, her name is Lilly. You can name our son," Laura says.

" Wallace, I want to name him Wallace," I say to her.

" Wallace and Lilly, I love it," Laura says.

I lean over and kiss her. " Thank you," I say to her.

"For what?" Laura asks.

I look at Laura and the babies. I look at the room with wolves and fairies coexisting. "You showed me what love really is, Laura. You taught me how to be a good wolf, a good husband, a good Alpha, and most importantly, you taught me to be a good person," I say to her.

Laura smiles at me. She has no idea what she has done for me. She has helped me grow into a good man and a good Alpha. I am not the arrogant asshole I once was when we first married. I am a better husband because of her. I will be a better father because of her. She showed me that there is more to being a husband than demanding obedience from my Luna. She stood up to me and showed me how to be the best man I can be. I owe everything to her.
