Legend: Part Four

~Legend's POV~

"Hey, Legend. You can't keep doing this to yourself." Gael's voice said from behind the door. I hissed out and gulped down another bottle of alcohol. It's been a week since my father gave me that stupid options that left me dumbfounded. I could not even think of an escape answer for him. All I did was watch my mate leave from the window of my room. I sniffed in and took another sip. I had locked myself in and refused to attend the court meetings but one thing my dad does not know is that I was drinking. I belched and took another sip. I have missed her so much to the extent that I don't even think I can ever see her again.

But why will dad put my life at jeopardy all because of his own mate?!

I shook my head and tried to stand up but I slumped back on the floor. I winced slightly and checked my arm. Her bite mark was still there. The place she had bit me one week ago. I would say her teeth is quite sharp to the extent that they left a mark. I tried to get up again but then I heard mighty steps coming towards my room. I know who exactly it was. I scoffed and looked at the door. I locked it already, there is no way he can open. I sat there with a pout as I expected his voice but none came. Instead my mother's so convincing voice came through and it saddened my heart that I can not see her like this but at the same time, my heart was saddened even more that she was the reason that father refused to accept my mate and I cannot even tell her about it.

"Legend." She called out and I hiccuped.

"Legend, why did you have yourself locked in there?" She asked. I so much wish I could tell you but no, I can't because I love you.

Come to think of it, if I tell her. How would she react?

No, I can't. My father would send me into exile and hunt me down to kill me.

"I am fine, mother. I just need some personal space." I yelled forcefully. My voice came out croaked but at least I replied her. I stood up and walked to the huge mirror. I looked at just how handsome I was. A sadistic smile broke on my face.

I can not keep drinking around. There has to be a way that I will let this work.

Wait, Leticia is a witch? She can help us. Right?

Then suddenly, an idea struck my mind and I smirked.

I need to meet her.

I walked towards my bathroom and ran a quick bath and shave for myself before skimming through my wardrobe for clothes. I adjusted my shirt and combed my hair slightly. The effect of the alcohol was beginning to wear off slowly and I have come back to my senses.

I walked towards the door and removed the padlock and was shocked to see my father, mother, Gael and some other palace attendants. My eyebrows creased in confusion with my eyes questioning them.

"Hmm, Legend. You got your mother so worried about you." Father said and I gave him the knowing look. I turned to my mother and grinned at her.

"Mother, I am really sorry for getting you all worked up and worried about your only son." I said as I pulled her into a hug.

"You smell like someone who's being drinking, have you?" She asked in a low key. Okay, I forgot that my mother's high sense of smell. I coughed slightly and moved away from her. I smiled stupidly at her and looked at Gael to help me send them away. He seemed to understand because he nodded his head.

"Alpha King sir and Luna Queen, I will take it from here." He said and they both looked in between us. And my father shook his head and took my mother by her hands and walked off.

I breathed out and suppressed a yawn.

"Good for you." Gael remarked as we walked out of the palace. I rolled my eyes and shook my head.

"So why did you lock yourself in the room for a whole week?" Gael asked.

"My father wants me to reject my mate." I said and that was all I could tell him. He gasped.

"What?! Why would he want that?" He asked again.

"My father is unpredictable so who knows. See, I need to see someone very important. Call me if I am needed in the palace." I said and got into the car. He nodded his head and I ignited the car's engine before zooming away.

I got to Silver Moon pack since that was where I was told she was staying. Just as if the guards recognized me as the Alpha Prince. They did not question me. Instead they paved way for me and my chest swelled in pride. I walked towards the pack house and pushed the door. I was greeted with a sight that set my head and mind into crazy mode. Ryder stirred and tried to take over but I forced him down.

"I will do this my way." I said to him in my head. He scoffed and sat back. My mate, Leticia turned towards me with another guy sitting close to her. He was whispering some things into her ear and she was giggling.

Has he mated her yet?

But then I zoomed my eyes on the guy and I recognized him instantly. Wait, he is still alive? He is obviously.

Well, let's put that aside.

"Alpha Prince Legend." Another voice greeted me, making me cut the eye contact. I looked at Damien who had this tight smile on his face.

"Leticia," A lady called her and she reluctantly stood up.

"See who is here. My supposed mate, Legend Brendon. What got your panties in a twist? Oh, are you here to apologize to me for the mistake you made by calling me your mate? Or are you here to kidnap me?" She asked with a snarl.

"Wait, don't forget who I am." She said with a smile. I scoffed and went towards her. She surprisingly did not move back. Instead she stood firm. I took her by the hand and led her towards the door and outside.

"Leave me alone." She gritted her teeth, trying to wriggle her hand away from my grip. I am always holding her tight.

When I got to a place that was quiet, I dropped her hand and exhaled.

"First thing, I am not lying when I said you were my mate. And second thing, I am in a tight position. I really need your help." I said to her and she crossed her arms beneath her breasts. I swallowed lightly and looked away.

"And what kind of help is that?" She asked.

"I need..."

I looked back at her as she stared at me with scrutiny. I smirked and blew her a kiss which she cringed her face to. I snorted as I got into my car. I don't know why she keeps ignoring and denying our bond when I know she can feel it.
