Blake
Blake POV
I think I may have had the best night's sleep I have ever slept in my life. I look over at my sweet Alpha lying beside me in bed. I love him so much and cannot wait to spend my life with him and only him. I lean over and kiss his sweet lips. He smiles as he wakes up. He opens his eyes.
"Good morning, wife," Alpha Solomon says. He puts his arms around me.
"Good morning, husband," I say and lean down to kiss his lips again.
I can smell food coming from the kitchen. "I will bring our breakfast in here. We can have breakfast in bed," I say. I am so happy right now I may explode with joy,
Alpha Solomon touches my arm and pulls me back to him. "Wait, there are a few things we need to talk about before you leave this bed," Alpha Solomon says.
"What is that?" I ask him. I lay back down in his arms, and he holds me. He seems to be hesitant in talking to me.
"I met someone last night, and she knows a lot about your past," Alpha Solomon says.
I immediately sit up in the bed and look at him. My heart is pounding with both nervous anxiety and joy. "What?" I question him.
Alpha Solomon pulls me back to him and squeezes me tightly. "Listen to me carefully, last night, and I went for a run. I could not sleep because I was worried about you. When I came back, I checked on you and then sat in the moonlight for a while. I just wanted to think about how I can help you and make sure that you are happy," Alpha Solomon says.
"I have not had anyone care for me in a long time," I say.
"I know. There is something that might come as a shock to you. Well, two somethings that might come as a shock to you. One, you are a witch," Alpha Solomon says.
I turn to look at him. "I kinda found that out yesterday," I say. Alpha Solomon seems shocked that I already knew this.
"Yeah, well, you could have told me before the whole glowing sex thing happened last night," Alpha Solomon says. He is not mad, but there is a genuine concern for me in his voice.
"I am sorry that happened, and I have no idea why. I just found out yesterday. Greta told me, but she promised to help me and that we would discuss all of this after the wedding. She did not warn me about a glowing sex thing, so I apologize for that, but I hope it was at least fun," I say, trying to lighten the mood a little.
"I talked to Greta last night and a woman from the coven you were born into, and I talked to another woman; she is not a pack member; she is from your coven and willing to help you. She says you can choose to be a wolf or a vampire, and the choice is yours. Greta is from the same coven, and she chose to be a wolf, just like her husband," Alpha Solomon says.
I get out of the bed, leaving Alpha Solomon alone for a moment. My back is to him as I go through a million reasons to be a wolf and a million reasons not to be a wolf. I damn sure do not want to be a vampire but do I want to be a wolf. Is that something I want for myself?
"Are you okay? What is the matter, Blake? Talk to me. Tell me what is going through your mind. I want to help. I am here to help you, and please let me," Alpha Solomon says, moving from the bed to get closer to me. He puts his arms around me and holds me so tightly.
"I have a ton of questions about being a wolf, being a witch, and I know that I do not want to be a vampire, but being a wolf, it seems like a lot. I mean, what if I am not good at it, or if I fail you and your pack?" I ask him.
"This is our pack, and I will help you; Greta will help you. This pack will stand behind its Luna and help her through this transformation. I can show you how wonderful it is to be a wolf, and Greta can show you everything about being a witch, and there is one other person too, but I am not sure you are ready for that conversation with all of this on you right now," Alpha Solomon says.
I step out of his arms and turn to look up at him. "What are you hiding from me?" I ask him.
Alpha Solomon shakes his head. "I am not hiding anything, but as I said earlier, someone from your coven is here to help you through this, but I am not sure if you are ready for that shock," Alpha Solomon says. His eyes look pained as I look to him, looking for some sort of reassurance about our current situation.
"I get myself into some kind of bullshit all the time," I say, laughing.
"Not anymore. I will make sure you are happy, healthy, and safe for the rest of your life, no matter if you are a witch, a vampire, or a wolf," Alpha Solomon says.
"Can we continue this conversation after breakfast? I am starving, sweetie," I say. I touch the side of his face, and my body melts as I feel his warmth through my hand. I look to see my hand glowing. That is odd as hell.
"Maybe we should talk to Greta about the glowing and find out what it means," Alpha Solomon suggests.
"You want me to ask one of the wolves why I glow during sex?" I ask him.
"I want you to ask one of your coven members why you were glowing last night, yes, just in case you were putting some sort of spell on me," Alpha Solomon laughs.
"Okay, it is weird, but I will ask her," I say. Alpha Solomon kisses me on the cheek, and we go out of the bedroom to eat breakfast.
Greta is in the kitchen with another woman. "Who are you?" I ask.
Alpha Solomon comes up behind me quickly. "That is the floating woman I saw last night from your coven," Alpha Solomon says. He seems to have lost all color in his face as he wraps his arms around me as if to protect me from what is to come.
"Alpha Solomon, what is going on?" I ask him,
The woman gets up from the table and makes her way to me. She is beautiful and familiar. She walks over to me and places her hand close to my face. "Remember my child," she says.
I look back to Alpha Solomon as a thousand images begin to rush through my mind. Flashes of my childhood, the coven, my father, and my mother. My mother is not dead, and it was all a spell. They wanted to hide me from the world and give me a chance far away from the coven and from vampires, but I landed right in the middle of vampires, and that is why.... that is why Lord Robert wanted me so badly. He knew I was a witch. He wanted me to be his bride for a reason to produce little witchy vampire babies.
"I need to get out of here, now," I say. I push Alpha Solomon out of the way and begin moving toward the door as fast as I can.
"You cannot run from the truth, Blake. I am sorry, but we wanted to protect you. It just not work; you still found trouble," my mother says.
"I was glowing last night; why?" I ask her.
My mother looks at Greta, then Alpha Solomon. "Well, it seems you and Alpha Solomon are meant to be after all. You only glow when you meet your soul mate, and you want to get pregnant. So you were trying to offer yourself to him as a mother, not a lover," she says.
"This is a strange conversation to have with someone I do not know," I snap at her. She left me, abandoned me, implanted me with false memories, and now wants to be a part of my life. I do not fucking think so, lady.
"I cannot handle all of this," I say as I walk out the door.
"Well, that is fine, Blake, but before you turn into a vampire, you need to choose if you want to be a wolf because that possibility will leave you soon. You are on limited time, my child," she says.
"I am not your child. I have already made up my mind, and it does not involve you. I will talk everything over with the pack healer and not with you. You left me all alone in this world, and you do not get to come back into my life now. So leave this pack territory before I have one of the warriors take you to the pack jail and leave you underneath it until I forget you exist again," I say.
My mother stands in front of me, shocked and confused. I reach for Alpha Solomon. He walks toward me and then stops. "Greta, I want her out of here before we get back," Alpha Solomon says.
He takes my hand, and we walk out of the house. "Are you sure you do not want her help?" Alpha Solomon asks me.
"No, I do not want her help. I do not need her to teach me how to be a wolf; that is on you. Are you ready to teach me?" I ask Alpha Solomon.
"You really want to be a wolf?" Alpha Solomon asks me.
"Yes, I do. I hope the pack healer can help us with that because I do not want my dead mothers to help," I say.
"I saw her last night, but I did not tell you because I was not sure about how to tell you. She told me you had a choice and that you could choose to be a wolf. Hopefully, it is that simple, but I am not going to lie the first time you shift, it is not roses. It is painful," Alpha Solomon says.
"Everything in my life has been painful. Being a wolf should be a breeze and then we can be together completely as a couple, right," I say.
He takes me into his arms. "Let's go talk to the pack healer, and by the time we get back that woman should be gone," Alpha Solomon says.
"I still need food," I say as we get into Alpha Solomon's truck.
"I think I can handle that," he says.
