Chapter 119

Zach ---

I pull out a chair and sit it in front of the cell. Why is such a beautiful woman so full of wickedness? I was lost in my own thoughts when I heard Jessica start to speak. Goodness she is rejecting me.

Jessica –

“I Jessica Landry’s daughter of Alpha Landry do reject you as my mate Beta Zach Thomas.” I didn’t need such a worthless mate. I only love Jackson Hunter, he is my true mate, he just kept lying to himself about us. He will come and save me.

Zach –

There was a pang in my chest that stabbed me hard. Feeling cheated, angry, and mostly robbed of my true love. I knew my mate was crazy, so I accepted her rejection. It hurt me, but it hurt my mate more. As she screamed and laughed, she started crying. Shaking my head, I made my way home or maybe I'd let out my wolf. There's a big hole in both my wolf's heart and my own.

As I mentally linked my sister, I stated that my mate and I had rejected each other. Before I can take on beta responsibilities, I need a few months of healing. In consideration of my situation, my sister kindly agreed to save my position for me until I return.

As I shifted into my wolf form, I headed into the forest. Maybe the moon goddess was punishing me for my history of screw-ups. My heart feels as if someone has dug out my heart with a spoon. I heard Xander attempt to mind link me, however I am not interested in talking to anyone. As a result, I placed a block in my mind in order not to communicate with anyone.

The four unicorns are headed back to their dimension, explaining they only came to help them through this war. They stated they will miss the wolves that they had so much fun teasing. Then before their eyes the unicorns disappeared to who knows where.

Xander had several of his warriors assigned to get the dead and get them ready for burial. He also assigned men who would let the families know of the loss of their loved one. Xander had about 8 other men take warriors that were still alive but injured taken to the pack hospital.

The next few weeks were going to be busy ones, as they needed to rebuild many structures that had been burned down by the dragons. Homes were now piles of ashes, all memories burnt and blown into the wind. Xander had to be strong for the many packs that looked for strength from him. He kept a straight face not showing any emotion.

As Clair assisted people in standing up, Xander watched her closely. Clair soothed the tears of women and children. She is the perfect future Luna and future queen.

In the meantime, Xander's sister was sending him a mind link. "Xander, come quickly. Your father has been injured and is currently comatose in the pack hospital." Xander

replied, "I will be there right away."

By mind linking Clair, Xander informed her that he was heading to see his father. "Clair, my father has been seriously injured and is currently undergoing treatment in a coma. If you would like to accompany me, I am headed over there.”

Clair –

I shed a tear as I realized that no one had escaped this conflict unscathed. As I replied to Xander, "I'm so sorry, but I will accompany you, and I will always stand by your side."

Xander –

Upon entering the Pack Hospital, I am directed to the room of my father. A chair is placed near his bed and my mother holds his hand. It is with great urgency that I run over to my mother as she stands up to hug me and cry into my chest. Claire embraces my sister, crying with her.

Please accept my apologies. I should have been here. It was a mistake for me to leave."

Xanders mother –

"Xander, this is not your fault; the war was inevitable regardless of whether you were present. My assumption was that you two were eloping, and I could hardly fault you. In light of all that you and Clair have been through, I would have made the same decision if I were in your position. There is only one thing we need in order to heal your father and his wolf: faith in the moon goddess."

Doctor –

In the Kings' room, I see his family crying; I hope my news will make them feel better. To get their attention, I clear my throat. Bowing my head.

I've got some good news, your highnesses. All the cuts are healing and none of them are life-threatening. Even though he's beat up, his wolf will have the strength to heal them both if he sleeps. For tonight, I'm putting him in an induced coma."

King Reynolds took a couple of weeks to totally heal, and he handed over his crown to his son, and the queen handed her crown over to Clair. The Queen and King were going on a long well-deserved vacation.

Elanor and Michael had mated and had mixed pups of their own. They were cute they had a wolf build and elven ears.

Akira had to go back to the castle at the age of 13 years old. Her father had her hidden on castle grounds as a daughter of the beta warrior. This way Akira could learn to fight the dragon way.

Akira already knew who her mate was and was planning to reject him when she saw him. As even at a young age, she knew he did not respect women.

Zach is a story to be told at another time.

Rhys is the runt of the pack, and she feels like she doesn’t fit in with her family. They are all strong warriors, and she likes to sit by herself in a corner without friends to read. She feels like her mother thinks she is broken. Her brother Axel is her best friend, and she tells him everything. A young Rhys made friends with a young Elven boy, and they remained best friends for many years. Until she let him know she loved him, and he let her know he was marrying someone else.

As Rhys changes from a shy, reclusive individual to a rebel without a cause, she attends university.

Aurinax --

As a punishment for my frivolous ways, my own father had cursed me by turning me into a human in order to punish me. It was determined that my curse would remain and that it can only be broken if I become who I should be.

It was my mother's twin sister who cursed me again, this time with the ability to read the mind of a woman or essentially any mind at all. The worst curse I ever received from my aunt was that I would feel the pain that I had caused to another person.

I have learned what tears mean and how they feel upon dampened cheeks. The years go by and the curse still remains, I almost give up hope but my father finally calls me back home, not to break the curse but to help win a war against the Red Dragons. My father let me have my wings back, but kept my aunts curse in place. He was preparing me to talk to the Dragon King and the Kings daughter who was leading the fight. I shook my head thinking of a female dragon leading an army of dragons. I laugh to myself at the absurdity of it all.

Akira --

I had been raised away from my kind amongst wolves, my uncle wanted me dead because I inherit the throne for the green dragons.

I was born with the green dragon gem as a birthmark. This is the sign for the Vicious warrior queen that will bring the magical kingdom into peace and harmony once more. She will win over the Red Dragons with the help of her mate at her side.

I was just about 15 years of age when I was called back home to the castle, I had mastered all the skills I could out of the castle. It was time to be trained in the castle. I was strong and a skilled warrior, they no longer feared as much for my safety.

I am now the best warrior and I prefer to be a warrior vs a Queen. I have taken over the training for our dragon warriors.

I had seen my mate when I was six years old, and I knew then he was a womanizer, and that when I was of age, I would reject him as my mate.

Tonight, is my 18th birthday and my father has me in the throne room picking out my warriors from other dragon packs.

I had not thought about my mate in a very long time, pretty much forgotten about him. Today a man with golden eyes and deep chestnut hair came walking in with his head held up high and his sword by his side. This man’s muscles rippled like rocks on a cliff. He was everything a woman would want to get her hands all over.

The guards announced he was Prince Aurinax of the Gold dragons, but I already knew who he was as my dragon was dancing around knowing her mate was here. He stared at me at first in surprise, which turned into an impish grin. He walked up to me, bowed and then stood back up before me. He was in no way expecting what happened next.

"I Akira the Green Dragon Princess and future queen of the green dragons reject you Prince Aurinax of the Golden dragons and their future King.

My dragon was mad at me and stated she didn't accept the rejection against our mate. I was arguing with her, when I heard Prince Aurinax's reply, I Prince Aurinax reject your rejection, and then he left the room to go prepare for dinner.

This man is arrogant, I need to try to convince him to accept the rejection, but how without me giving into the whims of my lusty dragoness.
