Chapter 56

Alpha Cameron ----

A call came in from the gates informing me that Beta Michael had just been let through the gates. Looking at the prince and my sister, I let them know that beta Michael had just passed through the gate. When my sister stood up to get Beta Michael, Prince Xander placed a hand on her shoulder. He showed her he would be the one to greet him.

Despite being nervous, Aurinax knew he would need to call his father, the Golden Dragon King. Aurinax had stayed longer than expected with the Wolves. Two she-wolves became pregnant. Having sex with the wolves had become an addiction for him. He had also slept with several dragonesses. In contrast, she-wolves were more primal and enjoyed sex, whereas they were regal and proper.

Aurinax decided he was a coward. His father would find out about the pregnant she-wolf by email. In the far corner of the pack house, where no one is around, he goes to his suite. No war was too overwhelming for him. He could fight ogres; he had no fear of anything. The thought of talking to his father made him shiver.

Aurinax –

Sitting at the computer, I open my laptop and turn the computer on. Starting the email with great fear. “Hey dad.. uh… I just wanted to check in let you know I’m having a great time since I turned 18, and seeing the world is amazing. I experienced wolf's life. It has been a blast. Werewolves are cool, especially the she-wolves. Dad, about the she-wolves, I might have gotten a couple of them pregnant. I need your advice on this, should I come home now?”

I turn off the computer and head out to the balcony. I lay on one of the lawn chairs and take a nap.

Prince Xander —-

What made me let Clair convince me to make Beta Michael my beta? He's a stranger to me. Whenever I say I will do something, I do it.

As he came through the front door, I stared at him with curiosity as he walked through.

He looks like he is looking for someone and I call him out of his daze. "Beta, over here. I have come to take you to our meeting. Seeing as you are one of my brand-new betas, we could use you at this meeting.”

As the Beta bows down, he says, "Your Highness, you didn't see a woman with a child come in did you? “?”.

I am sorry, but I haven't. Let's just get into the meeting, and maybe after the meeting Alpha Cameron can help you with that."

While I was showing the beta where to go, the beta nodded as I pointed the path to the room that is at the other end of the pack house. Making sure everyone who needs to be hidden stays hidden. If he flirts with my mate, I will hang him up by his balls and chop off his balls.

Beta, I want you to understand something before we go into the meeting. I know that you and my mate were friends. However, if you so much as look at her with a googly eye, I will cut your balls off! Am I clear?” Beta

Michael -

As much as it shocked me when the prince told me that, I had a crush on her when I was her partner working in the office. Clair is the furthest thought from my mind now that I have found my mate, and for that reason I couldn't help but laugh.

She is the only person I can think of with those beautiful green eyes now that I have found mine. As I look at the prince, I can see how shocked he is that I am laughing, and I can also see his wolf getting upset over this disrespect. So, I took a step back and explained to myself.

“Woh… prince! Hold on, once I had a crush on her, but I don’t anymore. In fact, I found my mate recently.”

We enter the conference room as the prince grimaces at me. Upon entering the conference room, I sit next to who I guessed was the pack Alpha, staying far away from Clair. She was waving hello, and I could hear the prince's wolf growling. Sheepishly, I waved back and then sat down next to the Alpha.

Elanor -

That Alpha Cameron let a dragon on the pack grounds is utterly unbelievable to me. I thought it would have been the most logical place to hide the princess. I think we should pack everything up and get out of here as soon as possible.

“Akira, sweetheart, we are heading out on a road trip, okay?” Running around, I grab our clothes out of the closet and stuff them into suitcases.

Akira -

The situation will be fine, Elanor. As well as you, I also saw the dragon. The dragon is my mate and will not harm me. That was obvious to me when I saw him. Although it is not our time to meet yet, he does not know or care that we are here."

I walk over and touch her hand, letting her know all will be well. My touch often helps people to feel serene and calm, which is part of my magic that I have in me.

Elanor -

“You are getting your powers? You aren’t supposed to get them for a while!”

As I watch Akira shrug her shoulders, she says, "I have had powers ever since I can remember.". I just thought little of them and each year I'm given a new one".

A toy cup flies and lands in her hand as she summons it. My mouth drops open as I watch. As creatures of the magical forest, we all have different types of magic, but dragons don't gain their magic until puberty. Akira isn't even near puberty, and she's already channeling her magic.

Back to the conference room -

Clair -

“You know what? Let’s just throw her in the dungeon, sleeping on a dirty moldy floor!”

Alpha Cameron --

“I thought we were going to be oblivious to her being apart of this kidnapping. Letting her dig her own grave.”

Prince Xander --

“I agree we put her in the dungeon and interrogate her, and then we accidentally drop the cell keys, and she escapes, in which we follow her. If the Rogue King is her mate, she will run right to him. Then we have him in our hands”

Everyone looked quiet for a moment, and then nodded and agreed.

King Reynolds -

"I will call the head of security and have her arrested and put in the dungeon cells as soon as possible."

Looking around I address everyone once more.

“I would like to call this meeting to a close; I am heading back to the castle; I miss my mate."

There is a smile on everyone's face as they nod towards me. So, I got up and went to the airport as soon as I could.

When Pack security rushed to Cora's room and tried to arrest her, she pulled out a switchblade and stabbed one warrior in the leg.
