Chapter 67

Upon waking up, in front of me, I see a relatively naked Colt, and I pick up princess Akira, lay her in bed, and cover her with a duvet. Afterwards I went to my closet and got an extra blanket and draped it over Colt.

The sun is barely above the tree line. Colt had wanted us to stay at his brothers pack house.

He needed to see where the construction worker were at in reconstructing the pack village. I guess I am their Luna now, and we needed to visit the pack members, give them confidence, and let them know that they can start to slowly pack their belongings.

Rosie and her mate had run their inheritance dry and the pack budget. Rosie owned a couple of human companies, but they were also failing. Colt and I had a lot of work to accomplish.

I shivered, thinking how Colt told me no one was ever trained to fight. Wolves are a very territorial and be a very violent creature. The very nature of our beast is reason to protect our packs from other beasts like us.

Their pack essentially didn’t have any rules, rogues could rove in and out of the pack grounds, the rogues even had their own packhouse. The only rule was to be peaceful and not fight. Horrifyingly, the rogues decided they wanted everything slaughtering many pack members. They had some Red Dragons fighting with them from the air burning down the main structures of business.

Thanks to Colts brothers, Colt was able to take the pack grounds back from the rogues. Today is going to be a long day. Once Colt wakes up we can walk Akira back to her suite.

Sincerely, I wish there was an end to all this hate. There was once a time when the rogue was a baby; they grew up like any other normal child. I am not a therapist, and I cannot even understand what brought them to violence. I also find it hard to understand why pack wolves think all rogues are bad and that it is our responsibility to kill them onsite.

If we do not learn to walk in the shoes of other wolves, how can we ever hope to achieve peace? Maybe Colt and I can change things, just maybe. The prophecy we were told about what was going to happen with this precious child princess will bring love and harmony amongst all our magical beings. It is my intention to stand by her side to make sure that love is what will triumph.

Clair—

My naked body is lying on the floor next to the closet door when I wake up. As I look around, the room appears to be a complete mess. Bedsheets and pictures had been scattered; and the bedding had been tossed.

I think my unicorns do is somewhere around here since the smell is unbearably foul. I see water on the bathroom floor, but no one is inside. I decided I needed to get dressed. As I open the closet, I find my mate asleep on the floor wearing only boxer shorts and a pillow. I lie down beside him and snuggle up close to him. I am unsure whether I want to know what happened. Apparently, my unicorn is very intense.

Nestling into Xander’s warm chest, I scoot under the blanket with him. Entering directly into slumberland, or into the moon goddesses garden.

Each time I come here there are different types of flowers, and different colors of flowers. Some of the creatures in the garden are so cute they are funny. It almost reminds me of a scene out of Alice in Wonderland.

I don’t see the moon goddess yet, but I know she will show up, so I take a seat on a log nearby. I didn’t make it sit on the log though. A big brown squirrel the size of a medium sized dog, is wearing glasses and jotting away on his clipboard. I cough into my hand trying to get his attention. I see the strange squirrel look up at me.

Squirrel –

“Hello there strange human thing. We are headed to the moon goddesses castle to have some tea. Come on and follow me. No talking, I have lots in my head to write on my board right here.”

Clair –

“I know you said not to talk, but I am not a human!”

Squirrel –

"Do you have human legs? Do you have a human mouth? Arms, legs, and feet? "

Clair –

“Well yeah, but..”

Squirrel –

“No butts, either you have those appendages, or you don’t, but you do, so you are a human thingy.”

I huffed and decided there was no use in arguing with him. I roll my eyes and trapse after the squirrel.

The freaky squirrel shows into the moon goddesses study. I watch her signing some documents. I watch the moon goddess look up and smile, calling me over to her desk all excited.

Moon Goddess—

“Sit down in the chair right in front of the desk. I saw the antics last night. It really was funny, although I doubt your mates think it was very funny. I have talked to the gods of unicorns and we both decided that your mates should also be part unicorn. It will tone down your unicorns, your unicorn especially it is like she is in heat which isn’t possible because you are not in heat. When your mates wake up, I am sure they are not going to be very happy. Anyway, I pulled you in to let you know I am going to send you back now.”

Clair –

“Wait, what?” I was already back in my room, but this time in bed. Xander must have picked me up and put me in bed. I was sort of unnerved due to the lack of being able to speak my mind.

I look around and seen the room had been cleaned and picked up. One couldn’t even tell this room had been destroyed.

I reach for my phone on the nightstand and check the time. Looking at the time, it is 9:30 a.m. Crap!! I am never sleep this late! Why didn’t Xander wake me. I jump out of bed, grab some clothes and head to the shower.

While in the shower, I am really upset that Tabitha created the havoc she did. “Tabitha, what in the heck happened in here last night?”

Tabitha –

“I am too tired to talk right now. Call for me in about two days!”

Catherine –

“She is asleep now. About time too, no one could sleep with all her antics last night.”

Tabitha—

“I heard that!”

Catherine ---

“Who Cares.”

Clair—

“Stop the bickering you two, we all need to learn how to respect one another. I have to find Xander, we have the new people joining the pack this weekend which is us.”

Then at the end of next week, we have our mating ceremony and wedding. We have lots to do, so GET ALONG you two.”

Catherine –

“Whatever”

Tabitha ---

‘zzzzzZZZZZZZzzzzzzZZZZZ”

Catherine –

“Shoot me now, Tabitha Snores.”

Clair:

I couldn’t believe it, suddenly they were both quiet.
