Chapter 46 LITTLE COVEN
Sobrina allowed the festive season to pass. She had traveled to Saru, during Christmas, to Dove's. To raise more money in preparation for the breast surgery should she need it, and had returned to the University few weeks ago.
She visited her doctor in Onimobe as he had directed. The doctor examined her boobs again and to her surprise, he reported that there was nothing harmful found in them.
"This boob is just heavier than the left one, that's all", the doctor explained.
Sobrina was overjoyed. She texted Pastor Melvin at once with the miraculous information, and they rejoiced.
She was convinced that Pastor Melvin had fasted for long, praying for her - not because he had told her so, but because it was his method. But she had also performed a ritual for healing. Therefore Sobrina wasn't exactly sure how the miracle had come about. She couldn't decide, because of the Christian influence in her life.
She would later decide that God and not the Devil had healed her.
Sobrina became more and more afraid of meditating, the demand to sacrifice the love of her life hunted her day and night. It was resounding in her mind and drowned out every other thought.
She began to prepare herself. She started raising quarrels with Pastor Melvin, trying to get him to annoy her like he was prone to; but he was ever more gentle and meek in his dealings with her. How ever she tried, he was unmoving.
She was looking for the slightest excuse with which to reach a decision. But whenever she confronted him like she used to, "I will never leave you Sobrina", he would promise amicably, unlike himself who would have started using words like, "nothing is probably going to happen between us". Which was what she had expected.
"Sobrina, if you don't do as I have requested concerning this Melvin, he will definitely leave you, I promise you!... But if you do, you will swim in so much success and wealth that even the young doctor would plead for a second of your attention in the future. But you won't give in, because they will both be too little for you. Never forget this!", her Demon - Asmodeus - appeared on a broad day light and told Sobrina.
She had been sitting outside her door contemplating the issue, when she heard him very loud and clear before her. Even though she couldn't see him, she understood he was standing right there before her.
Sobrina knew that giving up Pastor Melvin would mean giving up on every possibility of redemption and love. She began to consider acquiring an Incubi - Demon lover. She was told by a high Priestess of the brotherhood that it was a good decision, considering she was African, it was difficult to meet other Devil worshippers, and that it would help her advancement spiritually.
She decided she would request and acquire one as soon as she gave up Pastor Melvin.
Sobrina developed a Ponzi business idea a few months later. It was a new line of business in her country. Many youths were investing in it, making good money, using the Internet.
Her Demon assured her that the business would prosper tremendously, if she could offer the sacrifice he had requested.
But it was too much a sacrifice for Sobrina. Pastor Melvin was the only other person she had in the world. She had been totally abandoned by her parents for over a year by now. If she left him, she would be truly alone.
Therefore In Pastor Melvin's place, Sobrina decided to convert Osano and Donald. She decided to sacrifice them by getting them initiated into the occult.
She began to prepare their mind with promises of a better future, and a share in the tremendous success of the business she was developing, and using to lure them. To convince them, she performed some instant Magic for and around them from time to time, which helped them believe.
They were to be the first members of the Coven she had promised to begin for the Devil. She assured them it was much more than a Fraternity.
She was well aware that Donald was a cultist, but she had no idea about Osano's stance. Donald always told her Osano was "48" - a slang used for men who were not cultists. Osano was young, so it wasn't hard for her to believe him.
When the time came for the ritual, Donald found an abandoned hut, located in the woods, at a place not too far from the vicinity. He neatly swept it.
The trio shared the responsibility of providing the required material - sweet smelling incense, a silver chalice, a silver plate, coals for making fire, a bottle of red wine, and different colors of candles.
They prepared to appear before the Devil dressed in black, as Sobrina had instructed.
