Chapter 9 DOVE
The dancer swapped gradually low until she could almost reach the stone floor, then swung round, making beautiful rhythmic moves to the sound of the music coming from her team, a life-band performance, which happened every Wednesday night, to entertain the guests, before the club opened at midnight, for ladies night.
The sit-out was extremely pleasant, with a large pool of the bluest water Dove had ever seen, situated in the middle, surrounded with round tables, amidst the different colors of light coming from the bulbs on the short poles scattered about.
There were well groomed flowers growing on strategic points.
A spacious beautiful bar was built on one corner, where the waiters and waitresses got the drinks from, with bartenders working from within.
A medium sized hut was built beside it. The hut was left constantly dark, for the benefit of those who wouldn't want to be noticed.
It was a popular gossip among the regular visitors, that the dancer was in fact, not female, but a man - a non binary.
Dove sat at one corner of the hut, smoking cigarettes, and pretending she wasn't seeking attention from the wealthy men who frequented the clubhouse.
She was an average height lady, not too facially pretty, but her skin was flawless.
She was a bisexual student of a nearby Polytechnic and a member of a notorious all girls cult. She was trained in taekwondo and as a result, held the office of the executioner in the cult. She could be very nice and highly friendly when not provoked, but extremely dangerous in provocation.
The area was mostly dominated by members of her cult, among many young women, hopping from club to club, hotel to hotel, or just hanging about, each night on the red-light district. Some seeking attention, others having fun or just discovering themselves.
Dove noticed a stranger sitting on the table in front of her, the stranger was sucking on a cigarette, puffing the smoke as fast as she dragged. She understood the stranger was a learner and shifted closer.
"That's not how to smoke"
"What?" the stranger responded, turning around in surprise.
"I said, that is not how to smoke... Watch me", she took a long drag from her own cigarette, and made a short whispering hissing sound before she puffed.
"Now, try it...", the stranger tried, but started coughing.
"It is better you don't begin at all now that you haven't started. Smoking is burdensome, imagine finishing three packets before breakfast... what is your name?"
"Sobrina", the stranger responded, while putting away the cigarette.
"Let's go inside. I think the club has started, it's past twelve already and the honorable will soon arrive... He's my sugar daddy, call me Dove".
"Nice to meet you" Sobrina said as they shook hands.
They walked out of the hut, making their way rigorously past the crowd seated in groups on the round tables around the pool, heading to the entrance of the club house.
Inside the club, the music was so loud, it felt like the roof was shaking.
"What would you like to drink?", Dove shouted, her mouth was pressed close to Sobrina's ear.
"Red Bull", Sobrina liked the scent of Dove's perfume.
Dove left to get them drinks. She was dressed in a skimpy short dress on a tipytoe heels, she glistened, different colored shapes appearing and disappearing on her body as she walked; some circles, dots, wavey, or was it the lights? There were so many of them, flashing from different direction, some swinging side to side, others blinking rhythmically as if dancing to the rhythm of the music.
The club was exceptionally beautiful and large, with very tall walls.
The bar where Dove was headed, was built in the center - octagonally, tall chairs spaciously surrounded it, with bartenders working from within. Hundreds of glasses hung facing downwards from above, they were brightly lit by lights coming from the concrete roof. It was beautiful to behold.
The DJ played from an elevated glass booth in the wall.
