Chapter 133 You Are Only Passing By
"I don't care! I'm gonna stop here today! Get the car out of here! Does that make sense? !"
The woman's face was full of impatience. She had something urgent to do, and when she saw these two men didn't drive away, she wanted to hit them directly.
"Feed! My car is a BMW! Enough for a couple of your old Volkswagens! Get your old car out of here and don't make a scene of it!"
Bane glanced over the number plate of her car, then said to the woman with a calm face, "Money."
"Losing money? Good, can, I compensate for you, what broken car also bashful want to compensate! Here, a few hundred more for your car! Get out of here! Aren't you ashamed?"
The woman pulled a few dollars out of her bag and swung at Bane.
"Enough! I'll give you a few more if you don't mind! Get out of here!"
Bane didn't see any anger on her face and ignored the woman. She looked up and soon saw the camera on the road. She was relieved to take out her phone and call the traffic police.
The woman saw that Bane called the traffic police. She got even angrier and said, "What are you trying to do? Calling a traffic cop? How do? Too little money?"
Bane ignored her and stood quietly by the side of the road.
Vader showed a look of worry. The woman's car was a BMW, she knew, and the price would not be too low. Besides, the woman had an air of confidence, so she was afraid of really upsetting someone, and then it would be difficult.
"Well, Bane, let's not quarrel with that man."
Bane shook his head. "Don't worry," he said. "We'll wait for the police."
The woman's scolding directly attracted the people passing by. Most of the young people there were staring at Bane's car, with heartache and envy on their faces.
When the woman saw this scene, she couldn't help feeling very strange. Her car was so much more expensive than the old Volkswagen, but no one looked at it. She just stared at the old Volkswagen and shouted directly, "Don't go, right? Line! Just waiting for me to pay you a little more to repair the car?"
A young man heard this, looked at Bane and asked, "Is this your car?"
Bane nodded, wondering if he should speak to Bert, who, as the owner, had a right to know now.
"Good heavens! That's a lot of compensation! And she did it on purpose. It's all her fault!"
Hear this, that woman a face disdain of say: "cut, this break public ability need to compensate how much money?"
"Good heavens! Are you going to laugh me to death? This car you think is a Volkswagen?"
That woman immediately angry, "I am not invisible! Isn't that a Volkswagen logo?"
"What ignorance! This is a Phaeton! It's the top luxury car in Volkswagen! What general public would be like that? Also, this car has the best engine in the world! This car will cost at least two million! It would have cost hundreds of thousands to repair that cut! Hey, young lady, you wait can't love money ah! Well compensate somebody else!"
The woman's face turned pale.
"How? That's impossible! It can't be that expensive! You must be deceiving me!"
"I don't understand the car is still barking here! If you don't believe me, go to a garage and ask, you deserve it!"
The woman froze there in an instant, shock on her face.
Bane was shocked, too.
Why is it so expensive?
More than two million cars?
But didn't Myron say it was the cheapest car in Ron's house?
So two million plus is the cheapest car?
Vader's mouth fell open in surprise. She looked at Bane, then at the scratch on the car and said with a look of schadenfreude, "Gee, what a coincidence! I wonder how much she's going to have to pay!"
The woman was really flustered and began to argue: "I don't believe it! How can you ask for so much money? Surely not true!"
"Young lady, the bag that you carry on the body is false, this car is real! Originally somebody else stopped here well, that is not you want to die, will bump over!"
Then the cell phone rang in Bane's ear.
I looked at it. It was Bert.
Her heart tightened and she pressed the answer.
Soon Bert's deep voice came over the line. "Where are you?"
"Outside."
'What happened?
Bane looked at the car and said, "No, it's nothing."
"Give me the address."
"Nothing happened to me..."
'Bane Reed! Are you trying to lie to me? !"
Bane reluctantly gave the address to Bert.
'How did you know something had happened to me?
"If there is a problem with your safety device, it will be reported to me."
Bane was stunned.
"Even though you are the scapegoat for a hit and run, be careful. If you do have a hit and run, no one can save you."
Though Bert had uttered these words in a sarcastic tone, the interest was evident.
This softened Bane's tone. "I'm sorry."
'Are you hurt?
"No, just damaged the car. I'm sorry, but it's not cheap, is it? I'll fix it."
"No, stay there and so on."
"Are you coming here?
"Huh? You want me to come?"
A blush crept up Bane's cheek and he said quickly, "No!"
"The meeting is over!"
The flush on Bane's face subsided a little after the caller hung up.
Soon, the traffic police arrived, and so did a lawyer.
The lawyer walked up to Bane and said respectfully, "You're Miss Reed, aren't you? Mr. Ron sent for me, don't worry about it, I'll take care of it, you don't need to be here."
Bane smiled faintly at the lawyer. "Sorry to bother you."
Vida looked at the lawyer, more shocked, she suddenly felt that Bain is a mysterious existence, there is a car of more than two million, there are special lawyers to come over, this family bottom should have much rich ah!"
But isn't her father a director of the company going bankrupt? There can't be so many assets! Besides, the relationship between father and daughter seems to be particularly difficult.
On the way back to work, Vader and Bain were taking a cab together, and while Bain was out of action, a text message arrived on his phone.
"Don't go after work. I'll pick you up."
It's from Bert Rowan.
She quickly replied, "Don't bother. I'll just take a taxi."
"I'll be fine later. I'll pick up Norton and Sophie, and I'll pick you up."
Bane took a breath, subduing the feeling of a little fidgeting, and replied.
"All right, then."
