Chapter 135 We Get Married
Bert looked ahead and chuckled. "What? Did you frighten your sister?"
Bert put emphasis on the word sister.
Bane was silent for a moment, then he said, "What should I say?"
The rhetorical question caused Bert to pause for a moment, and the car slowed down slowly until it came to a stop on the side of the road.
Bain hanging heart also put down, this person is too capricious, on the road so many people also dare drag racing.
Knowing that Bane had told a colleague that he was his brother, he felt a surge of anger that made him want to vent.
But when Bane asked him, he realized he didn't know what to say.
He put his hands on the steering wheel, thought for a moment, and then blurted out, "Then get married."
Bane felt something was wrong with his ears.
'What?
But Bert, as if he had found a solution, brightened, and said, "We shall get married."
"Bert Ron, are you kidding? !"
Her eyes popped wide, not expecting Bert to say anything like this, but feeling that he was joking.
Bert's face darkened in an instant. "Eh? Do you feel wronged to marry me?"
"No, what are we getting married for?"
"You're Sophie and Norton's mother. You don't want to know her?"
There was a hint of menace in the words.
Bane said quickly, "I'm their mother!"
'So I'm their father, and we shouldn't get married?'
"However, our circumstances are different, how can we get married so hastily?"
As soon as that was said, Bane felt the atmosphere in the car change in an instant.
"You won't?
"Asked Bert.
He looked into Bane's eyes with some pressure in them.
"No, I didn't mean that," Bane said quickly. "I just felt that our status was not equal."
Bert's face softened a great deal, and he said, "I don't want a marriage at all."
Now Bane didn't know how to refuse.
Besides, she did not know why Bert had married her.
"What else do you want to say?" asked Bert.
Bane said nothing.
"Tomorrow, I'll take you to the Civil Affairs Bureau."
"But..."
"You can get engaged if you want to."
"Bert Ron!
"I will arrange the car and house, and 50 million of capital, OK?"
Seeing Bert like this, Bane thought the man was angry.
She smiled and said, "Bert, you don't need to give me that."
"Well, what do you want? Shall we tell the world? I can arrange it right away. It'll be on the radio tomorrow. Is that all right?"
Bane was speechless as Bert's remarks became more and more outrageous.
Bert took the phone out, made a call, and said, "Change all the TV for tomorrow..."
At this, Bane grabs Bert's phone and hangs up.
'What are you doing!
"Still refuse?"
"Asked Bert again.
He just didn't want Bane to turn him down.
This time Bane knew that Bert was not joking.
He really wants to marry her.
But Bane saw only domineering in Bert's eyes, and no other feeling.
Bane's bright eyes darkened. How could Bert, so high up in the world, possibly feel affection for her? The distance between them is not by a hair's breadth.
This way, however, she doesn't have to worry about leaving Sophie and Norton. She can always be there for Sophie and Norton.
"I have three conditions."
Bert frowned. "Go ahead."
"One, you don't have to pay me. You can't take me away from Sophie and Norton. I want to take care of them."
"No problem. They're your children too. I won't stop you from seeing each other."
"And two, if you ever fall in love with someone else, you remember to tell me that I won't always hog that position."
Bert frowned at this, and though he did not like Bane's idea of a divorce before he was married, he said nothing.
"Ok."
"Three, well... Wait till I think of it."
Bert laughed at this, and said, "You're going to push your luck, Bane Reed. I've got a lot of people who want to marry me, and Mrs. Ron's position is very valuable. Aren't you going to ask for anything practical?"
Bane replied dryly: "We are not equal, I now, just want to be equal."
In the near future, Bain will congratulate itself on the decisions it makes now.
"All right, I promise you all that."
Bane took a deep breath, and a blush crept up her cheek. What would happen next, she did not know. All she knew now was that Bert had asked him to marry him.
Even this proposal, no ring, no flowers, only unexpected.
What's more, they skipped the meeting.
Obviously there is no suitable place, but, her heart will not control.
Without another word, Bert started the car and drove straight to the kindergarten.
Norton and Sophie, who are waiting outside the kindergarten, are thrilled to see Bert's shadow.
It hit Bert like a cannonball.
'Father!
Perhaps it was the first time that Bert had come to meet them, so they were very happy, and even the steady Norton, when he saw Bert coming, ran to him with joy.
On the way home, Sophie kept talking about the kindergarten, Norton sometimes said a few words, and Bert responded patiently even when he was driving. The atmosphere in the car was relaxed and cheerful all the way.
For a moment, Bane felt it was all right to marry Bert.
Even though they are not in love, they have two children to keep them together.
At least have a family.
These, let Bain can not help but imagine the life after.
When she got home, Bane went to cook dinner, and she didn't cook much for a while.
Bert, on the other hand, helped the children with their homework, a hobby he picked up after Sophie and Norton started kindergarten.
Bert would make time for it, even when he had no time.
Sometimes Bert's details made Bane think of Bert as a human being, as a normal father.
Or maybe that's why Bane's feelings about Bert are slowly changing.
In the evening, when Bane came out of his bath, he found Bert still working overtime in the study.
Hesitantly, he went to the kitchen, and then cooked a bowl of noodles.
When he went up, he carried a cup of hot milk.
She knocked at the door and went in.
Soon Bert smelt the smell, looked up, and saw Bane come in with a bowl of noodles and a glass of milk.
