Chapter 197 Complexity
"What is it, Bert? You know you've offended some people. They can't help you. They're bound to make trouble for the people around you."
"And then?"
Bert lifted his chin.
Ward raised the corners of his mouth coldly. He clasped his hands. "Bert, are you ever so confident?"
"Man, is to be confident, if I have not taken her out, maybe there will always be someone want to use her to test my bottom line, but this time is not the same, they start, will also fear I will not class.
As it were, Bert was terrible.
Ward, too, froze. It suddenly dawned on him that Bert had not put her in danger by bringing Bane with him today, but that he should be afraid before anyone else touched her.
I'm sure the most important people you can bring to an event like this. Bert and Bane will be the hottest searches in the capital by morning.
"Bert, you really are a lunatic."
"Just fine, Bane, were you afraid?"
Bert stroked her hair tenderly.
"With you, I'm not afraid."
Bane looked down and smiled. What had she to be afraid of?
I've been through all the dangerous things.
Bert smiled happily.
With that, Ward was routed.
"Mr. Ward? Anything else?"
Vodgonhani's suppressed anger flared up again. He knew he should leave, but he could not move. His feet felt heavy.
"Ward, sometimes I really think you're kind of stupid."
"You..."
"If what happened last time happens again, don't blame me for being unkind. You'd better check with the people around you and not let me do anything about it."
Bert was cold, and there was a chill in his eyes.
Ward looked ugly. "Don't bother President Ron, I'll find out soon enough."
"Well, to be honest, I've been ready to attack you several times, but they've used you as a shield. Not only that, they seem to know how to provoke me."
Bane hesitated for a moment, then touched his hand, but Bert held it, and could not take it out.
Ward tried with all his might to ignore their movements.
"I'm sorry I'm causing you trouble."
"Know good, you can leave, that big young lady is anxious to come over."
He glanced at Joanna not far away, his eyes cold.
Ward paused, noticing the glowing eyes behind him, and his mouth twitched bitterly.
"Bert, you'd better keep Bane out of harm's way. I don't have that right, but as a friend, I can take her away with me."
"Go."
Bert didn't want to say anything more.
As Ward left, Bane looked at Bert and said in a low voice, "You're trying to annoy him."
Bert raised his eyebrows, and did not hide his thoughts. "I don't like him, so I can't be very kind to him."
Bain helpless sigh tone: "why do you so repellent him? I said what I said."
"I hate him, because he is your past."
"Said Bert seriously.
Bane paused. She looked at Bert and saw that he was serious.
Bane chuckled, and Bert, holding her in his arms, warmed his hand to her slight bulge.
He only felt wonderful, although he had two children, but he did not participate in the whole process, not to accompany her gestation process.
He was a little uneasy about the child who was still in his belly.
So he was very careful not to touch him.
Feeling his movement, Bane smiled. "It's all right. You don't have to be so careful."
Bert gasped, and though he knew it, he dared not make a great movement.
He just put his palm gently on it and stroked it.
Watching him do this, Bane suddenly let out a little cry.
"Bert."
Bert gave a little hum, but kept his eyes fixed on her stomach as if he could see the child in it all the time.
"Ward was once, but you were my forever."
He paused, his fingers suddenly stopped, and he felt something moist on his lips, but he quickly moved away.
She gave him a gentle kiss.
"Say it again."
Bert wanted to deepen the kiss, but she drew away.
He looked at her, his voice cracking.
Bane curled his lip. "Never say a good word twice."
"Good boy, I want to hear you."
Bane yawned wearily. "I'm trying to sleep."
After three months, she was now getting tired more and more easily.
"If we want to sleep, we'll go home." Bert's eyes flickered with loss, a soft opening.
"Is it all right if the dinner isn't over?"
"No problem."
"Huh?"
"It's just to let people see you and the baby today, so they can have more eyes in the future."
After that, he took Bane by the arm, and the family quietly left, calling out Sophie and Norton, who were not willing to leave for fun.
The next day, Bert and Bane made all the headlines on TV and in the newspapers.
They're all over the news.
Only the pictures of the two children did not appear.
Speculation has been rife about Bane's identity.
"Who is this man whom the American crown prince has a crush on?"
"Who is the only woman ever admitted by Bert and brought out?"
The press was all about Burt and Bane, and they were mostly complimenting Bane for that matter.
After all, it's Bert's woman. Who dares say a bad word?
On top of that, they chose photos from the most beautiful angles, which didn't show pregnancy at all.
And for both children, they did not show a single picture of the tacit agreement.
It was clear to everyone in the circle that Burt was trying to control publicity and that he didn't want the children to be seen, so no one had the guts to release any other pictures.
Behind some of the praise, there was a malicious speculation from some distraught jealous woman that this was a woman who had managed to climb into Bert's bed.
And soon Bert would get tired of it and throw it away, for there was no such person in the world of polite society.
So there are some small newspapers that are not afraid to say that Bane is sparrow.
It didn't take long for those stories to disappear, and not only that, but also the media company.
They were all watching, and I never thought anyone would be afraid to bother Bert at such a time.
It was plain to see that Bert had brought Bane out on purpose, to keep everyone's eyes from offending his woman.
