Chapter 244 Sophie wakes up
This whole Tom thing had hit him so hard, he didn't know who he could trust anymore.
Even Jack, he felt uneasy.
So he took the baby with him, and he brought the best doctor.
Sophie had been as good as new since she found out about mommy and her brother's accident.
Not noisy not noisy, very sensible.
At the same time, she becomes more dependent on Bert and refuses to leave him for a second.
When she's with someone else, she wants daddy.
Sophie was thin and pitiful because of her illness, and burt's bodyguards couldn't bear to see her sad.
This child now becomes too sensible, and before lively compared to her, now she is very distressed.
Now she's, like, sensitive.
In the back, Whenever Burt ran an errand, he took Sophie with him.
Burt also knew that Sophie could not live without him, so most of the time, he waited for her to fall asleep before dealing with the cruelties.
His men are terrified every day, because now Burt seems to be back in his old state, King Shura.
Jack sees it, and there's nothing he can do about it.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the villa.
Bane woke up feeling soft and his head ached badly.
NORTON crouches sweetly beside her, holding her hand.
She woke up at once when she moved.
He looked at her and said happily, "Mommy.I'm glad you're okay."
NORTON helps Bane sit up and gets her another glass of water.
Bane did feel thirsty and gulped down the poured water.
"Mommy, are you still drinking?
Bane shakes his head and NORTON jumps out of bed.
"Mommy, just wait a minute. I'll get you a doctor."
NORTON ran out at once, and soon after, the doctor came in from outside.
I checked her out and was relieved to make sure there was nothing wrong.
Tom had been with him the whole time, and he had helped him call the doctor yesterday. NORTON hated him now, but he was much more subdued.
Bane saw him standing nearby and, having guessed what had happened yesterday, hesitated for a moment and then said a reluctant word of thanks.
Tom raised his mouth bitterly: "You don't have to say thank you so grudgingly. I promised you that nothing would happen to you."
Bane said nothing more, but touched his belly gingerly, his eyes shining lovingly.
Tom had wanted to warn her, but he had better be careful. After all, the doctor had told her that her condition was unstable and the baby could slip at any time.
But thought about it, and finally did not say.
"Are you going to keep me here forever?"
Tom shook his head. "Should be able to leave soon."But he didn't say exactly where.
Bane only nodded faintly.
Bane's calmness made Tom uneasy, and it was for this reason that he did everything he could to get the best deal for both of them without letting them go.
To others he was asking for trouble, but he knew in his heart that his survival depended on this woman.
He had to give himself a way out, or else he would upset King Shura, and he really had no place to bury himself.
It doesn't matter if he's dead, but nothing can happen to his brother.
He had betrayed Bert now, but he did not want to give up on himself.
NORTON is watching Tom warily.
Tom saw that the boy hated him, but he did not mind.
"Would you like to take a walk outside?"
"May I?"Bane was surprised.
"Yes, but I must stay with you."The meaning is also obvious.
Bane did not refuse. There was always an opportunity if she could get out and about, and now that she was pregnant, staying in one room was not a good idea.
Tom, true to his word, let Bane pack up briefly and take her out.
Once out of the room, Bane saw many people in the living room.
Bane holds NORTON tightly, his heart rising.
These people's eyes are full of murder, they seem to exude the breath of the dead.
It's for people who have blood on their hands for years.
"What do you do now, Tom?"
Tom stretched out his hands, but saw no problem.
'It's not good for them to stay in the room too long, as she's pregnant now.'
"What if it gets away?"
"I'm watching, and I brought these two home, so I'm in charge of them, too? It'll be all right to take it for a walk, and when Bert gets here, you'll appreciate everything I've done."
The man on the sofa did not know what to say for a moment. He looked at Bane coldly and raised his chin to the people next to him, indicating that they should watch closely.
"After all, hostages, or watch carefully, I let them follow far away is there no problem?"
Tom said nothing more, except a gleam of impatience in his eyes.
"Come on."
Bane follows, dragging NORTON.
When he could walk outside, Bane dispelled all thoughts of his own.
Because it was actually a small island, surrounded by the sea, with only one villa in the middle.
Many people were standing on the beach, as if they were patrolling.
No wonder Tom was willing to let her out for a walk, for in this condition there was no escape.
And by letting her out, he probably wanted her to see the truth.
Tom walked beside her and lowered his voice. "You can see by now, you can't get out. Just stay here, and when all is done, you can leave safely."
"And what exactly is your purpose now?"
Tom bowed his head for a moment, then whispered, "Bert...Are you sure you really know him?"
Bane snorted. "I believe what I see, that he loves me and is good to the child, that's all. I don't need guidance from an outsider."
Tom paused and burst out laughing.
"Sister-in-law, the eldest brother really has a unique vision."
He stopped smiling and looked at her seriously.
"But you may be sure of one thing. I will never let anything happen to you. And of that I am my word."
Bane did not say much, but raised the corners of his mouth. He would betray Bert.
Burt, on the other side, quickly found Bane's position.
"President, I'm on Forgetful Island."
"Go at once."
"Yes."
Sophie looked up.
"Daddy, have you found Mommy and brother?"
