Chapter 261 There is no going back
She really wanted to get out of here,
Slowly closed his eyes, tears followed down.
Tired of crying, Bane drifted off to sleep.
It was the next day when she awoke, and the bed was already cold.
Her eyes flash a trace of loss, she simply washed, then went outside.
Just walked to the door of the time next to two servants came up to serve.
"Breakfast is ready, madam."
Bane nodded faintly. Her eyelids were swollen now, but her mood was remarkably steady.
When she came out, the two children were at the table, looking at her with great delight.
"Mommy, come on, this is for you."
Sophie delicately carried a bowl of porridge.
Bane went over and kissed his daughter, then looked back at NORTON.
When I saw him, my heart twitched for no reason.
The child had lost a lot of weight, but he was firm again and tanned.
NORTON gives his mommy a big smile, which he only gives when he's in front of her.
These days he is really tired because of training, but he doesn't care, he just hate his growth is not fast enough.
"Mommy, I will grow up soon."
NORTON looks at Bane and speaks firmly.
Sophie's mouth curled nearby. "Mommy, he's hurt all over."
"Sophie."
NORTON didn't expect Sophie to say it out loud. He didn't want to tell Mommy.
I looked back just in time to see Bane distressed.
"Mommy, it didn't hurt a bit."
NORTON gets to his feet, trying to prove it to his mommy, but he actually touches the wound.
He bared his teeth.
Bane's eyes turned red at the sight of him.
NORTON is startled and immediately turns to comfort.
"Mommy, I'm fine. I'm really fine."
NORTON scrambles to comfort.
Bane rolled up NORTON's sleeve, tears streaming down his face as he saw the cut on his hand.
"Mommy, don't cry. NORTON really doesn't hurt."
He was inhaling in pain now, but still frowning soothingly at Bane.
"Show Marmee all the other wounds on you."
"Mommy, don't worry. Uncle Jack takes good care of me."
NORTON instinctively tries to move aside, but Bane stops him.
"Mom..."
"Mommy, please help your brother. He is working hard every day. When he comes back, his body is covered with bruises."
Sophie began to cry, too.
Bane pulled back his clothes with a serious look and found that he was black and blue all over, and most importantly.
Bane cried harder.
"Mommy, it's okay. It'll be all right in a few days. Uncle Jack said it was a little rough at first."
Bane could not stop crying. She had always known NORTON was training, but she had not expected him to be so strict.
She had assumed that Burt wanted him to have the means to protect himself. She had never asked burt about NORTON's upbringing before.
But a lot of things are different now.
He's only five years old now, and Burt is training so inhumanely.
Bane's heart throbbed. She hugged NORTON's tiny body, afraid to hurt him.
"NORTON, it's Mommy's fault. Mommy doesn't know you practice like this every day. Mommy thinks..."
Bane's voice choked. He didn't know what to say.
NORTON was about to say it was all right, but he suddenly felt wronged by Bane's reassurance.
It was a grievance to drag Bane.
How could he really not be in pain? Uncle Jack was very strict with him, and would not spare him just because he was a child.
Uncle Jack said that in the future, when there was real danger, the enemy would not show mercy.
So even if he was in pain, he would keep going.
And his father had told him not to tell his mommy, because if Mommy knew, she would worry, and then he would never grow up.
So he can only endure, even if the pain and tired, he will insist.
Because he wanted to protect Mommy.
And now Mommy not only knows, but she's crying so hard.
Is dad gonna be disappointed in him?
Do you think he's not qualified to protect Mommy?
"Mommy, it's okay. Uncle Jack takes really good care of me. Every day after practice the doctor checks me out."
And he knew in his heart that dad wouldn't hurt him.
Bane is heartbroken. She thought NORTON was Bert's son anyway, so he wouldn't be too cruel.
But right now, she's still underestimating Bert.
But as NORTON's mommy, she doesn't know anything and never cares about her son.
NORTON was worried, too, at Bane's sudden drop in spirits.
"Mommy, it's okay, I really don't feel any pain."
Bane just gently hugs NORTON, while Sophie leans in.
It was a long time before Bane recovered and let them go.
"Hurry up and eat your breakfast."
I don't know what's going on with her these days. She's always getting emotional.
But she has her own idea, and you must have a good talk with Bert when he gets back.
NORTON's so young, it can only hurt.
After breakfast, NORTON is taken away again.
Bane was wondering whether to call Bert when he heard a bang at the door.
She looked up just in time to see Bert enter.
There was a cold smell all over him and a violent look in his eyes.
Bane felt a chill at the sight of him.
But she rose. "Bert, do you have a moment?I want to talk to you."
All at once Bert lifted the corners of his mouth, and there was an odd, sinister smile in his smile.
The words came out of his mouth almost through his teeth.
"Maybe we really should talk about it."
Bert was in a really bad mood, Bane noticed.
Have a pair of impending storm posture.
She followed him into the study.
Bert slammed the door shut, and the air in the room was repressed for a moment.
Bane felt a pain in her stomach, but she held on. "Bert, NORTON's only five years old now. Isn't that too harsh?I saw him today..."
She had hardly finished her sentence when Bert interrupted her violently.
"Why do you judge when you know nothing?Do you realize that if you go soft on him now, he'll get shot out there."
