Chapter 39 Maria's Trick
When she arrived at the company, she was met with suspicious looks, but she soon got used to it. She is now led by an older employee, who is learning the business as quickly as possible.
As soon as Bane passed, Ward's mind flew out of the office, like the scratching of a kitten, eager to get out but afraid of frightening someone.
At noon, Ward couldn't stand it any longer and gathered them all together for a dinner at a restaurant to welcome the new staff. Not a single member of the staff, except Maria, disagreed.
Maria, after all, knew the reason, and her heart was seething with anger.
Ward found a nice restaurant and set up a large private room in it. The restaurant was far from the office and he had to drive there. Ward was about to call Bane, but Maria was too late.
"Bane, I'm new here. I haven't gotten to know everyone. Why don't you come with me?"
Bane was a little upset. This was clearly an attempt to push her out of the group. Director Davis, at first sight, was hostile to her.
"Yes, I can."
You should know why she did it.
Maria's car is the latest Audi, suitable for girls. "It's not expensive," she said modestly. "It's not as expensive as Ward's Bentley, so you have to live with it."
Bane smiled a little and got into the car without saying anything.
Maria was obviously in a bad mood. She was driving very fast and almost broke the traffic rules. Bane's brow wrinkled and he reminded her: "Don't drive so fast.
"My driving skills are not that bad, the car performance is also very safe, rest assured."
Hearing this, Bane could not say more, and she soon realized that they were not going in the direction of the restaurant.
"Not to the restaurant? This is the wrong way."
Maria smiled. "I don't feel comfortable in this dress. Why don't you go with me to buy a suit and talk to Ward later."
We're on our way. Bane can't jump.
She now understood the extent of Maria's hostility to her.
The car pulled up at a large shopping mall nearby.
I saw that upscale store and went straight in.
"Why don't you buy one, Bane?"
Maria was doing it on purpose. Bane was wearing the kind of clothes that made it a little awkward for her to go into such a store.
Bane shook his head and said, "No, you can buy it."
Maria smiled, her face full of guesswork, picked out two dresses, and went straight to the dressing room, whispering something to an assistant.
As Bane sat looking at the magazines, the saleswoman brought a glass of water with a warm face and said, "Miss, it's a hot day. Have a glass of water first."
With that, he handed the water over, and Bane held out his hand. The glass of water knocked over and spilled all over Bane.
Drops of water fell down the clothes, and the clothes became wet.
The coat was very transparent because it was white.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Miss. Don't be mad at me for tripping, I'm just going to get a dress to change!"
Bane grabbed the collar and jumped to his feet.
You don't have to be a fool to see that this is deliberate.
Encounter this circumstance normal all is to take paper towel, this person unexpectedly direct take clothes for her.
The store's prices seemed high, at least thousands of dollars a piece, which would cost Sophie half a month's worth of medical bills.
"Young lady, you hurry to the fitting room, I will go to pick a suit for you."
"No! I'll just go to the bathroom."
Bane suppressed his anger, covered his chest with his hand, and hurried out of the shop.
At that moment, Maria also came out of the dressing room, a happy expression on her face.
Bane was hurrying to the bathroom, and her clothes were so thorough that she could only keep her head down and walk on. Without noticing, she ran into someone.
Bane nearly fell back with a pain in her head as an arm reached out and wrapped around her waist.
"Look out!
Shocked, Bane looked up and saw deep eyes.
She was struck dumb.
Bert frowned, lifted her up, and was about to release his hand, when he caught a glimpse of her breast.
Inside the light pink underwear out, let a person's imagination.
Bane felt Bert's eye and put his hand in front of him. "I'm sorry, Mr. Ron," he said. "I didn't mean to."
Bert looked away and saw that Bane was now in a terrible mess. His hair was wet and his coat was quite wet.
There were always men who looked at her and smiled meaningfully.
Bane was even more embarrassed now. The stares from the crowd made her want to find the ground.
Until, that is, she wore a black coat.
Bane jerked his head up and looked at Bert.
"Come here."
Bane couldn't care less. He wrapped himself in his coat to cover his front.
"Where are you taking me?
"How? Are you going to walk around like that?"
A look of embarrassment came over Bane's face, and Bert took her by the shoulder and led her away.
Bane's heart was beating fast, and on the tip of his nose came the overcoat's overbearing, Bert 's-like scent, a faint, mesmerizingly manly mixture of perfumes.
She had the impression that she had smelled it somewhere before.
Bert did not know which brand was good, but the expensive one was not too bad, and he went straight to the most expensive couture shop in the store.
It was a place where even Maria dared not enter.
Bert took Bane in without a word, and sent for her dress, while he sat down on a sofa and said, "Tell the clerk what you like."
Bane stood a little uneasily, saying, "Mr. Ron, no..."
"Don't talk nonsense, I'm in a hurry!
Bane was about to say something.
"Do you want that look again?"
This sentence was surely Bane's death.
"Come on," continued Bert, "I don't want you to affect the traffic here."
Bane soon remembered that the mall was owned by Ron's Group, so it was no wonder they had met Bert there.
Bane hesitated for a moment, then finally gritted his teeth and picked out the cheapest dress, but even the cheapest would cost tens of thousands of dollars.
Bane took the dress in her hand and wondered if she had enough money in the card to buy the dress. If she had to buy the dress, she would certainly buy it at the shop where the prices were so high.
