Chapter 59 Success
When it was time to close, Jory looked at the numbers displayed on his computer with disbelief on his face.
"A... It worked?"
Seeing the green on the screen, Jory felt like he was in a dream. He was about to ask Bane to confirm for him when he turned to see that Bane had fallen asleep on his desk.
There was a look of determination in Jory's eyes and a determination in his heart.
"You want to transfer ten percent of the shares to me?"
Bane had only just come to himself when he heard Jory's words, and for a moment he looked puzzled.
"You pulled Josie back from the abyss," Jory said earnestly. "You deserve these shares. Thank you for all you've done for Josie."
Bane stared at the contract, thought about it for a moment, and then agreed. The time for her to hold on was long past, and she needed the ten percent now.
When Maria learned of this, she was so angry that she pushed all the table to the floor, and looked as ugly as she could.
'You can do it, Bane Reed! I'm not going to let you off lightly!"
Even if Maria really hated Bane, it didn't change the fact that Bane had come back from a beautiful victory.
Word of this, straight out of Lakeen, was written all over his face with admiration for Bain.
Even Ward, if he had been in Bane's situation, would not have persisted.
The document that is being pressed, can be handed in nowadays, after casting committee agrees, can have fund to become a shareholder.
Bane's heart was at last relaxed and he could go back.
She had not been separated from Sophie for so long since she had left the prison and taken her to her side. But as soon as she entered the house, Sophie jumped into her arms and shouted.
"Mom! I thought you were going to leave Sophie!"
Bane smiled helplessly, hugged Sophie tightly, and kissed her on the little cheek.
The thought that something would happen to her, and that Sophie would not know what to do in the future, frightened her.
"Mamma won't leave Sophie! Mom is on a business trip. Have you been at home this time? Did you make your mother angry?"
Sophie really missed her mother. She held her mother tightly with both hands and clung to her tightly.
"Sophie is very good! Sophie didn't annoy her mother!"
After finishing the meal, Anne walked out of the kitchen to find the mother and daughter making out. "Sophie has been waiting for her mother to come home all day," she said, smiling as she walked past. "She was crying in secret at night."
This hurt Bane so much that he kissed Sophie again on the cheek.
Sophie was embarrassed. "Sophie wasn't crying. The wind had blinded her."
"Yes, yes, Sophie didn't cry," she said. "The wind in the house made her eyes blind."
Sophie blushed and tucked her head into her mother's arms.
Bane didn't feel hot either, and happily took Sophie to dinner.
Annie threw a look. Is it done?
Bane nodded.
Anne did not ask what, the heart of the big stone also put down.
This meal, three people happily finished.
Sophie had slept with Bane that night, and Bane, knowing that the little fellow was scared, could not resist the little fellow's offer to do anything.
Even as she fell asleep, Sophie's hand clutched tightly at the corner of her mother's dress and her face wore an uneasy look.
Bane knew this was the result of being brought up in an orphanage. Sophie was afraid of becoming an orphan again. Even though she was usually obedient and sensible, the shadow of those years had long since left her.
The next day, Jory approached Bane and offered to take her out to dinner as a thank you and to celebrate the company's revival. Bane thought for a while and said yes.
After all, they are partners now.
Jory had arranged to dine at a hotel, which happened to be the Noville Hotel.
Bane went there with clenched teeth, though his heart cast a shadow over the tavern.
Seeing that Bane didn't look right, Jory asked, "Do you dislike this place? This hotel has the most famous food around, so if you really don't like it, you can go elsewhere."
Bane refused Jory's offer. After all, she wasn't going to leave after all. She was just going to eat a meal.
When they got into the elevator, they met someone they knew.
Bane had a headache, but he braved it to say hello.
"Mr. Ron, what a coincidence!
Yes, the acquaintance was Bert Ron.
After that, Bane had mixed feelings about Bert.
She could not understand how Bert had made such an effort to save her, and at any rate she did not believe it was because of his "brother-in-law."
But it was also true that Bert had saved her life, and she had thought to thank him.
But she had been so busy with Josey's business all this time, and hadn't met Bert Ron, that she never thanked him.
Now, suddenly, Bane's heart beat a little faster.
Of course Jory knew about Bert, and he, who had been so natural, began to feel at ease.
"Mr. Ron, what a coincidence!
Bert put his hands casually in his pockets, his face indifferent, and he greeted them only with a slight nod.
Both Bane and Jory felt much stiffer.
Bane tried to say something, but Jory was standing there, too, and held his tongue.
Bane and Jory went to the restaurant on the top floor, but Bert left in the middle.
They stood in the elevator, no one said a word, the atmosphere was really quiet.
Bert got to that floor and left.
Bane thought for a moment, then turned to Jory and said, "I'll come and see you."
By the time Jory knew what he was doing, the doors were already closed.
Bane forced himself to catch up with Bert, calling, "Mr. Ron! And so on."
Bert in front of him stopped short with a cool smile on his face.
Bane caught up with him, breathing hard, a flush on her face, her eyes bright and fascinating.
To tell the truth, Bane is also really beautiful, her face has an international style, delicate three-dimensional features, bright eyes, and her whole body radiates a unique charm, especially those casual gestures, is absolutely beautiful things.
Bert looked away. "Yes?" he said.
Bane's face was sincere. "I came to thank you for saving my life that day. Thank you!"
