Chapter 67 Bert is Scolded
Malia smiled triumphantly at Ward and added, "Bane's boyfriend cares about Bane's appearance. I'm sure he can take care of Bane. We don't want to get in the way."
Ward's heart was very sad. He gave a wry smile and said, "Well, the doctor just said it's all right, he's getting over it and he'll be fine soon."
"Let's get out of here and not be the third wheel."
She did not want Bane to wake up and see Ward, for fear that Ward had moved Bane.
Maria was very clear about Ward's feelings towards Beane. She did not want to see anything that might advance their relationship. The most important thing now was to take Ward away.
Even if Maria wanted to meet the man she had just called, the voice was so beautiful that she was fascinated.
"Maria, we'd better wait, Bane's going to wake up soon, he'll be here when..."
Maria said quickly, "Ward, you can't do that!"
Ward fell silent.
"That's somebody's boyfriend, and if that guy comes along and sees you here, how do you expect Bane to explain that? I know how I feel about Bane, but you wouldn't do anything to hurt anyone's feelings, do you understand that?"
Ward gave a wry smile, sighed softly, and said, "I can see..."
Maria was anxious. 'You've always been fair, Ward,' she said. 'How can we not know you after all these years? Seriously, let go, for the best for you and for her."
Ward said nothing.
Maria patted him on the shoulder and said, "Let's have a drink. You'll figure it out."
You'll see I'm a hundred times that bitch!
The latter part was suppressed by Maria, who assumed the role of confidant to Ward.
In the end, Ward left with Maria.
Marya got in the passenger seat and Ward was just driving when a limited edition sports car zoomed past.
The car seemed familiar to Maria.
'What's the matter?
"No, it's all right. Go and have a drink."
Ward and Maria were gone.
At the other end of the road, Bert parked his car, ran to the reception desk, looked up Bane's room number, and then went straight to Bane's hospital room.
Bert looked very bad now, and his clothes were not neatly dressed, and there were two unbuttoned slits in his clothes, which showed the collarbone perfectly, and the sleeves were slightly pulled up, and a part of his arm was visible, and there was a noble air about him.
He walked quickly, like the wind, because he was so handsome that he always attracted the attention of patients and nurses on his way.
Once there, he went straight in, his eyes fixed on Bane on the bed.
"Said the nurse, who was changing Bane's bottle, as Bert rushed in." Who are you?"
Bert was stunned for a moment, and was about to answer when the nurse aunt said again, "Is the patient your girlfriend?"
"Well..."
"Why are you so late? She is burning so badly, and no one is looking after her, just two people are still here, and I don't know where to go, but I came over to have a look, otherwise there would be big trouble!"
It was the first time anyone had dared to say such a thing to Bert, who looked very unhappy.
"Mister, you have to take good care of your girl friend. How can you let her work herself like that? Constantly overloaded work, no wonder she did not fall ill, she was malnutrition, physical weakness, even if young, this body can not withstand such a torment ah, this is sick!"
Bert frowned. "Overworked? Weak?"
"It was much better, but that woman spilled water on the quilt of the patient again, which caused the patient to have a fever again. Now they have pneumonia, which is not easy to get rid of, so we should take good care of it."
Bert, with an effort to keep his temper, nodded.
"Tonight you watch her point, pay attention to the temperature of the patient, if a fever, call the doctor, and this medicine also watch point."
When Auntie Nurse had said all this, and noticed how handsome Bert was, she did not say a word back, and praised him.
"You this young man is quite good, the girlfriend grows pretty you also handsome, two people really match, want to live well."
Bert's face grew uneasy, and his ears reddened slightly.
When the nurse saw Bert, she said, "Lift her hand up a little, and call me when it's over."
Bert's face softened slightly as he looked at Bane in the hospital bed with a hint of resignation on his face.
When Bane woke up, he found his hand being gently lifted.
She opened her eyes slowly, her head still a little dizzy.
Bert was awakened by a slight movement. He looked at Bane and said, "Just a minute. I'll get the doctor."
Bert stood up, and nearly fell, for he had been doing the same movement so long that his body was numb.
After a short pause, he went to call the doctor.
The doctor took Bain's temperature, and it has returned to the normal temperature. There is no need for injection anymore. He will stay in the hospital for observation today and leave tomorrow.
But as soon as Bane finished the injection, he was clamoring to be discharged.
Bert held her down, and with an unhappy face said, "What nonsense are you about? Can't you get better and leave the hospital? !"
'Go away!
She pushed Bert hard, but found that she did not have the strength. She was very weak now.
"How can you leave the hospital? You don't have the strength to walk now."
Bane's face was very pale and his face had lost a lot of weight. There was no light in his bright eyes.
He really couldn't see Bane like this.
"Bert Ron, thanks, but I can't stay in the hospital!"
"I don't agree."
Bane continued, "Please let me go."
There was a hint of appeal in her face, and all the rage in Bert's face was extinguished when he said, more slowly, "You are very ill now. Think of yourself."
Bane bowed his head and said, "Don't worry. There's nothing wrong with me. I know my own body."
And with that she pushed Bert's hand away, and stood up, barely able to walk, though she had no strength.
"I'll pay you back, thank you, but I have to leave the hospital now."
Bane thanked Bert, and had just passed him when Bert seized his wrist.
Bane looked back, his eyes colliding with Bert's.
