Chapter 9 Sophie Is Taken Away
However, when Bane went to the hospital, the doctor told her that her relatives had taken Sophie away.
Bane was stunned.
Since she went to prison, everyone had broken off the relationship with her, which relatives had she had?
She hid her whereabouts for fear that others would find her.
When the doctor produced the certificate, the man said he was the child's grandmother, and left with Sophie.
Bane also said nothing, straight to the flower city community, where she used to live.
The door was open, as if it were waiting for her.
Bane pushed the door open and saw a familiar figure sitting on a sofa in the living room.
Rosa took a sip of tea, her bitter face full of anticipation.
She looked back at Bane. "So soon? Pretty quick."
Bane clenched his fist. "Where's Sophie?" She asked.
"What, when you're released, you don't say anything?"
That time six years ago, Bane had seen through the false face of his stepmother, and had lost a trace of affection for her.
If it hadn't been for the kindness of her father, she wouldn't have listened to her.
Bane was actually the stepdaughter of the Reed family's owner, and her real mother, Rafael Eva, had her before she married his father.
But the master of the Reed family was very fond of Rafael, insisted on marrying, just had the present Bane.
Even when he later divorced his own mother and married Rosa, her mother had no grudges against her father.
When she knew she was dying, she asked her father to take her away.
What Bane's mother had said to her before she left, she had taken to her heart, and had not intended to leave the Reeds, even if he had been left in a vegetative state by a car accident.
No matter how badly her stepmother and stepsister treated her, she had no intention of going.
Eventually, the two men sent her to jail.
"Where's Sophie? !"
She was no longer indebted to her father, and her last line was with Sophie, whom no one could touch.
Rosa put the teacup down with disgust in her voice. "Is that how you talk to your mother?"
A trace of sarcasm came over Behn's face. "My mom's Rafael Eva!"
'What an ill-bred woman! It seems you've been badly taught in prison for years, and have really disgraced the Reed family. So from now on, you'll live here too!'
Bane paused. "What do you want?"
"You don't have to worry about the child, she has been transferred to hospital, I also arranged the best doctor for her, as long as you listen to me, I will pay for her treatment, or you know the consequences!"
Bane was well aware that Rosa had not picked them up because she could not bear to be away from home.
"No need. I can take care of Sophie. I'd better get Sophie back to me, or I'll have my case reversed!"
Rosa face a change, way: "you can not nonsense, you bump people into people, but also want to quibble? Never met such an ill-bred woman as you! '
Bane had changed a long time ago and Rosa's words didn't scare her at all.
"Tell me where Sophie is," She sneered, "and I'll take her away. Nothing more to do with you!"
Rosa thought she had solved the matter flawlessly and could not successfully overturn the case. Her face suddenly softened and she said, "Who do you think will believe you?"
"Oh? You forced a confession out of me. Are you sure I won't keep anything?" Bane smiled coldly.
"Where's Sophie now?” Bane pressed her directly.
Rosa stood up with an idea. "Bane," she said, "even if I tell you where the baby is, where will you take her? Don't think I don't know that the kid is often short on medical bills that you can't afford, and you haven't even got a college degree and you've been to prison. How can you get a good job?"
"No need of your trouble."
"After all, you're Reeds too, and I suppose your father doesn't want to wake up to find his granddaughter dead."
"What do you want?”
"No, Betsy is engaged. I don't want to see anything that threatens her marriage. I have to protect everything that affects the Reed family.
Bane didn't believe a word of it, but on the face of it it was a reasonable excuse.
Above all, Sophie really couldn't wait.
She would have been able to afford Sophie for a while longer, but Sophie's present condition was not to be.
After a moment's reflection, Bane decided to leave Sophie here. After all, she had no evidence to turn against her. It would take time for her to become stronger and find evidence.
"Yes, I can stay, but you must promise me that I'll see Sophie once a day."
'No, only once a week!’
Bane clenched her fist and said, "Yes."
Six years later, she was back.
Only, she was not the bully Bane she once was.
When Betsy learned that her mother had brought Bane back, Betsy smashed things all over the floor.
"Mama! What are you doing! How can you bring her back? How difficult it is to be Ron's fiancee, you're putting me in the fire!"
"Don't worry!”
Betsy saw her mother's calm expression and her eyes were full of anger. "Mom! Are you out of your mind? Send her away, she's in danger."
"Shut up! What nonsense are you talking!"
Seeing that her mother was angry, Betsy put on an ingratiating face and sat down beside her. "Please calm down, Mother," she said, "because I am so stupid. Can you tell me why you brought her back?"
"Your father may soon be awake, so she cannot be taken care of now. She is a danger we must keep an eye on, and we have that wretch's child in our hands. Will she be able to turn the sky over?"
"Mother, you ought to have brought them both back. The twins were so fine that Bert wouldn't give me the cold shoulder if he was so pleased. He hasn't so much as touched me, these six years!"
"Don't you know how to seduce him?"
"Mom, I've tried this so many times. I even ran into his room naked and he threw me out. For a while I wondered if Bert could do it!"
As for this, Rosa had no choice but to warn her, "You've got to keep those things under your hat, don't give yourself away, keep Mrs. Ron in her place by all means, and besides, twins aren't easy to deal with, it's nice to have a son from a rich family, daughters are a drag on things."
Rosa's words were cold. If she hadn't had a son, how could she have helped such a stupid daughter as Betsy?
