Chapter 93 Prove it to Me
She yearned for freedom and could not adapt to the magnificent cage of the canary.
Bert did not tell her what she was saying, for he was sad now too, and he did not know why.
"By the way, I've got some good news for you. A couple of matches have been locked down for Sophie, and when the tests come back, we'll be able to operate."
Bane could not help but smile.
Bert stood up, and when he came up to Bane, Bane drew back.
"You give it back?"
She stopped dead in her tracks.
Bert's eyes narrowed, and the faint smell of a smile rose in his eyes. "Are you afraid of me?" he said.
Now he knew why he was upset.
As soon as the woman knew all this, the woman began to fear herself.
She hid her fear. She became very careful. Even her words were ingratiating, and she did not dare to transgress any more.
She was not suddenly like this, but slowly, as he came to know.
This is what she became.
The old Bane, who had dared to look at him and answer him back, was gone.
Bane's eyes had been bright and had a willingness to lose, and Bert missed them.
Bane's eyes today are afraid and submissive, and he really hates those eyes.
Bert reached out his hand, caught her by the chin, made her look him straight in the eye, and said, "Are you afraid of me?"
Bane steadied himself against his fear. "No, you're overthinking it."
"Don't lie to me."
Bert was disgusted by her hypocrisy.
She was like any other woman, worse, in a way, than Betsy Reed.
At this moment, a bad idea suddenly occurred to him.
Bert flung out his hand and shoved Bane against the wall.
Bane was terrified, and Bert was drawing nearer and nearer, suffocating her.
Really too close, they now distance, can let each other smell their own breath.
Bert was a beast, and Bane was his prey.
Bert's eyes rested on her face, and she was all in his shadow. "Why should you be afraid?" said Bert's hoarse voice.
"You think too much, I'm not afraid of you, Bert Ron, you go away..."
This is clearly a refusal, but when she said it out, it was with a pathetic tone, feel bullied.
Now Bert was more annoyed than ever.
What's going on? Why still this tone? Why are you still afraid of the eyes?
The interest which had been so hard to raise was gone in a moment, and the gap was so great that it bored Bert.
It's like eating that dish you've been looking forward to for so long and you love the smell of it, only to discover it's like chewing wax the first time you take a bite.
"What do you want?"
"He asked suddenly.
Bennton, embarrassed, held his mouth tight.
"Say!"
"I don't want anything."
"To tell the truth."
In the face of Bert's push step by step, Bane still did not resist, but began to guess constantly in his heart.
Let her make the offer, and then send her away?
Will Sophie and Norton never see each other again?
No way! It's going to kill her!
Bane burst out of her uneasiness. She jerked her head up and looked Bert straight in the face. "I'll agree to whatever you offer, but you're not going to let me go!"
Bert paused.
Bane clenched his hand into a fist and made his point.
"I'm not leaving. Norton and Sophie need my care. I'll promise you anything, but please don't... Let me go."
Bane's humble plea to Bert disappointed Bert.
It turned out that she was just like any other woman.
He doesn't expect a toy that doesn't challenge him.
"Anything? Then prove it to me."
Bane was mortified. She understood what Bert meant.
Throw away the last self-esteem, you can let yourself stay.
Even though she had expected it and had been prepared for it, she now found it difficult to take that step, no matter how prepared she was.
But Bert was not so patient, and, seeing her standing there, made up his mind to leave.
When Bane saw that Bert was about to leave, he gave Bert a sudden tug, caught him by the neck, stood on tiptoe, and kissed him.
But really, it wasn't a kiss at all. At least it wasn't a normal kiss.
Bane merely pressed her mouth against Bert's, and in that step had taken all her courage.
She couldn't leave. She couldn't let go of Sophie. She couldn't let go of Norton, who she had just met.
But now she could not stand up to Bert, nor could she afford Sophie.
What little money she had left, if Bert wanted it, would soon be gone.
She did not dare to offend Bert now.
And the final choice, she is ready.
It was with tears in her eyes that she took this step.
After a few moments, when Bert did not respond, Bane gave up and decided to let go.
But her hand just let go, her waist was a fierce embrace.
And then Bert's bossy kiss.
Bane was suffocating, and the smell of Bert filled the end of his nose.
She could not move at all, and Bert held her so tightly in his arms that it seemed as if he would crush her.
The kiss, too long, almost took her breath away.
Bert's eyes fell upon her, and they grew darker and darker, and the light of looting flashed under them.
The indulgence that had been lurking in the back of his memory suddenly surfaced in his mind.
The smell of Bane's body, which he knew and had tasted, fascinated him, or he would not have got her back, but it was a pity that he had lost the years by looking for the wrong person.
But it's not too late.
But he hated to be pushed. He bowed his head and whispered in her ear, "Prove it to me."
Bane looked a little pale.
"This is your only chance."
Then he waited for Bane to respond.
It was a long time before Bane closed his eyes and leaned resignedly into his arms.
Soon she was picked up by Bert.
It was not long before Bert carried her to the master bedroom.
Until the sky appeared fish belly white, just stopped.
After the man got out of bed, he went straight to the bathroom. Then, there was the sound of water in the bathroom.
When Bert had finished his bath, he came out and carried Bane into the bathroom too.
