I woke up in the morning feeling like my sleep wasn't enough. I tried to get up but my body won't cooperate with me so I tried my best and went to the bathroom to get ready for my work.

I stood up from my chair and knocked on his office. He let me in and I gave him his second coffee for the day.

I took a deep breath as I spoke.

"Why did you tell Dalton about…" I paused as I stared at him. He crossed his arms as his eyes darted at me.

His brows furrowed. Damn it..I think I shouldn't have said it.

"About what?" He asked.

"About us." Damn it, why does it sound like I'm asking him to give our relationship a label? Of course not. I just want to know why he told Dalton about us. On what is going on between us.

That's it. I'm not a crazy girlfriend or fling asking for a label and I hope he didn't take it that way.

He took a deep breath.

"It is necessary to tell him the truth. Ms. Vena."

He stood up from his swivel chair and sit on his desk as he crossed his arms again. Why does he keep on doing that? It is distracting! He is flexing his muscles so much. It's not even helping!

"Well…" I pursed my lips looking for a rigt thing to say.

"I don't think he needs to know that you hired me as your flirting expert. It's just… What happens if he tells it to anyone?"

"And why am I the one who is worried? You should be worried about yourself. What if Monica finds out?"

"So what will happen if she finds out?" He asked me.

She should be happy that I'm making an effort for her and I know that she is happy. Letting her know wouldn't cost me a thing."

I took a deep breath.

"Alright. I won't bother you anymore." I said.

"You can leave early today." He said.

"Why?" I asked. Why does he want me to leave early?

"Don't you want to leave early for work?" He asked.

His eyes remained on me.

"I… I will go now. Can I take the early leave?"

"Yeah, you can go."

I grabbed my things quickly and reached for the door knob when he called my name.

"Ms. Vena."

I turned around and looked at him.

His dark eyes pierced right though making my knees turn into jello and my heart skipped a beat.

"Y-yes sir?" Shit.

"Where are you going?"

"Leaving, I thought I can have an early leave?"

"Yes but where are you off to?"

"Oh… uh. My manager, I think you know him."

He nodded. "Yes I do."

I said and left his office.

I took a deep sigh as I closed the office door. The employees looked at me with confused eyes.

I bowed down and left the floor. I went to the elevator and held my chest tightly. I closed my eyes.

"Artemesia?" I flinched when someone called my name.

"D-dalton."

"Hey! How are you?" He asked.

"I'm good." I simply said.

His eyes went down on my bag. "Are you leaving already?"

I nodded.

"This early?"

"Yeah. Braxton told me to leave early because he had something to do and I don't have anything to do at all."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"Then are you free?"

"Hmm?"

"Are you free?"

"I guess so but—" before I could even tell him what I'm going to do he but me off.

"Then let's go out."

"Go out?"

"Uhuh. You don't have anything to do and I'm going anyway."

"I'm not really sure, Dalton–"

"Oh come on, Artemesia. Please?" He asked.

"Alright." I sighed.

I don't have any choice but to go with Dalton. Besides I don't have anything to do, he is actually right. I mean I want to go with Mossy but I don't think my mood will be good for him. He is probably tired from work and I don't want him to feel bad about it.

Dalton reserved dinner for us in a luxury restaurant. My mouth gaped as we reached the place. It's fancy enough to make any girl stun. Damn, Dalton is really doing his best huh.

This is just a dinner yet he brought me to a good place. No, no, no. It wasn't just a good place, it was the best. Best place to bring any girl to impress any girl.

Braxton should have taken note from Dalton. He is doing the right thing! I hope he brought Monica to a nicer place.

But he is a freaking billionaire so he will do much better. I hope so. We are greeted by the receptionist, Dalton said his last name and reservation for two people. They led us to our table. Dalton pulled a chair for me. I can't help but smile.

I turn to my side to put my bag. I raised my head and looked around.

My eyes widened when our eyes met.

"Braxton!" Dalton raised his voice.

My eyes shifted to who he is with, Monica.

She stared at me.

"Well, I guess this is going to be a double date!" Dalton chuckled.

I took a deep breath as I threw a glance at Braxton. He is looking straight at Monica.

From that moment I didn't even glance at him. I immediately ask Dalton to take our order so we can leave earlier.

I didn't have a good appetite while we are eating together. I mean the food is good, the ambiance is everything but there is a feeling of awkwardness between me and Braxton.

I don't want to be the one who ruins this dinner for anyone. That's why I kept my mouth silent while Dalton was talking so much. I keep on nodding while Braxton on the other hand is happily chatting with Monica.

Why do I suddenly feel awkward today? Maybe it's because of what happened a while ago. When he called me like he was going to say something but he didn't say it.

The dinner ended well, luckily it went well. Dalton and I are the first one to leave the restau. I didn't look back on Braxton, we said our goodbyes and took care. That is enough.

"How was the dinner? Don't you like it?" Dalton asked while we were in his car.

"Huh? I like it. I like it a lot. It's so fancy and the food is amazing. Though the proportions are very small, I still enjoyed it."

"You don't seem to enjoy it for me, Artemesia."

"I shouldn't have brought you there, I know you wouldn't like such cheap restaurant—"

I cut him off.

Besides I know that you are silent probably because he is your boss and everyone acts differently in front of their boss. It's alright. We won't do a double date with them again." he said.

"You want a double date?" I asked him.

"Yes, third date, fourth date… and many more dates with you."

I can't help but smile with what Dalton said.

I looked outside the window to hide my smile… I know he will tease me so much.

As I looked outside the car window, I remembered how Braxton made me smile and I didn't even get a chance to hide it from him.

I sighed.

You are with Dalton, not with him.
