Anniversary
After what happened yesterday I decided to cut ties with my aunt and Rachel. They don't deserve to stay in my life. They don't deserve a relative like me and I don't freaking deserve them. They didn't treat me right, they treat me so poorly that I build up my own confidence after they stomp with it. They are the reason for my insecurities. All of it is because of them. I didn't regret cutting ties with them. It is what they deserve and I'm banning them from my village. From my home.
Specially Tommy, who made a fucking fake news so they would side with him, why am I even shock about it? Of course he would make a freaking fake news to climb to the top, to make everyone feel like I was the one who seduced him even though I didn't. That I'm the one who begged him to come back to my life. As if I needed him in my life!
Braxton beat his ass and he fucking deserve it!
I looked up from my phone and went back to the book I was reading. Why am I even assuming that Braxton would call me or message me? Of course he won't, he is busy doing something else. Something that is worth his time and that is not me.
I took a deep breath and continue what iw as reading as usual.
Adrasteia Meranza has always been interested in vampires because of their thirst for human blood. She has extensive knowledge about them. She is witty, lovely, and courageous. At Colmillos University in Colmillos Town, she is in her senior year. Her collection of books primarily consists of vampiric love stories. The more she thinks about how a powerful, macho, and gorgeous vampire would take her, the more she falls in love with them. Her ideal scenario involves being de-purified by one of them. Adrasteia spends her time reading and fantasizing about the worlds contained therein until she learns that the town she grew up in is under the control of vampires. Asmodeus Vointeroz, a classmate of his since kindergarten, is one of them. He is a majestic, serious, stout, and muscular gentleman. This is her opportunity to let go of her morals and indulge her sexual fantasies. Although she begged him to take her, he ultimately refused. She felt so horrible about it that she met his family of vampires in an effort to convince him.
Even though no one would believe Adrasteia, some would still strive to know the truth, and Asmodeus doesn't want anything to be exposed to humans, he reluctantly agrees to her condition to stop her from spreading tales about them. But before he agreed to her condition, he advised that they wait until they're both aroused to get into it naturally, rather than trying to force anything. Asmodeus and his companion Silvana spend most of their time with Asmodeus' sibling Silvhari and their mutual friend Silvana. Until, that is, things heat up in the middle of the forest when they are alone there. Adrasteia's virginity is taken by Asmodeus. Even though he is significantly stronger than she is, he is shocked at how effectively she handled him that night. It makes him wonder if she really is one of them, or if he is just projecting his own interest with vampires onto her.
After that fateful night, it happened again and again in other places, including the restroom, the school, the sink, the house, and virtually everywhere else besides the forest, which remains their favorite. Adrasteia's discovery that her father isn't there because of an event that occurs at the moment she is born turned everything good that had happened to them into something terrible. Her mother was having a miscarriage when the accident occurred in the middle of the road; the vampires who witnessed it offered assistance, but they have one condition: that her father become into a vampire. Despite her mother's objections, her father gave in because he loved her so much. She wished they were both still here with her, but she knew that wasn't possible. Adrasteia's father fell instantly in love with Asmodeus' mother and Silvana's aunt, the vampires who witnessed the event that night. Adrasteia's hair and eyes are on fire since her mother, Asmodeus, brought her back to life. She knew, at her core, that she was a vampire, which is why reading about them captivated her so much.
Her mom discovered out she was dating Asmodeus rather quickly and tried to get her to end the relationship, but she didn't want to. Since they already had his husband, who had been killed by a vampire hunter, Adrasteia's mother asked Asmodeus to leave her daughter alone. She hopes that, once Adrasteia learns how she was revived after the accident, she will be able to move on without feeling any remorse. Asmodeus's feelings for Adrasteia are reciprocated, but he doesn't want her to be harmed or blinded by them. To ensure her safety, Asmodeus erased Adrasteia's memory of him and everything else related to them, including the truth, so that she may meet with him one last time before her mother forbade it. Even though she begged him not to, Asmodeus is determined to wipe her memories.
Three years later, Adrasteia has moved far away from Colmillos and is now working a monotonous government job. Her mother has never warned her about vampires, and she is still living at home with her. She destroyed her collection of vampire novels along with her previous artwork. When there is a full moon, she makes sure Adrasteia is either at home with them or with her best friend Alessandro, whom she met at work, because she is terrified that it may cause her memory to return or trigger it in some manner. He's been trying to tell her how he feels about her by dropping hints, but she's either not paying attention or has made it apparent that she's only interested in him as a friend. Adrasteia longs to reunite with Alessandro, who she last saw in Colmillos. Since he rarely sees him there, she has no idea that this is his hometown, but she recognizes him immediately. Since Adrasteia's mother is unable to leave her friend who has been in an accident, Adrasteia has taken this opportunity to request permission to return to their village. Her mother finally gave it after much pleading, but she was forbidden to leave Alessandro's house or enter the forest during her time in Colmillos. With the support of her childhood friend Alta and Alessandro, Adrasteia returned to her village.
She finds that everything is just as she remembered it. She was welcomed by Alessandro's family. I visited a shopping center on day 2. She walked away after accidentally colliding with a woman, who seemed visibly astonished to see her. She bumped into the same woman again on the third day, but this time she was pleased to see her and introduced herself. Silvana, who swore she would never visit Adrasteia again but can't help herself, has broken her promise. She used to be her buddy, and now that she knows what happened to their family, she feels terrible guilt. When Adrasteia got to know her, she became like a close friend. A mystery man who made Silvana feel uneasy happened to see them. The next day she still hasn't seen her, and while she's concerned about her safety, she can't help but wonder who the mystery man is because he looks familiar. When she returned, she found herself back in a familiar environment. The discovery of a room in their mansion stocked with vampire daggers, arrows, bows, and everything else needed to kill a vampire led her to the conclusion that Alessandro is a vampire hunter. Anything, even a shirt. She's worried about who Alessandro would use, and she has no idea why she wasn't frightened by the sight of it. She felt a connection to it, but she couldn't put her finger on it. She had snuck out of their old house and into the woods one night, when she encountered Asmodeus.
He was taken aback to see her, but she had no clue what he sees in his eyes. They have a short conversation; she tries to continue, but Asmodeus interrupts. There's something captivating about him that keeps her going all night. She hangs around with Silvana and the same group of forest creatures every time she goes looking for Asmodeus, but he never approaches her. She can't explain it, but when she's in his arms, she instantly feels at ease and at home. Like a path she's traveled before but has forgotten how to navigate. Adrasteia can't resist giving him a passionate kiss one night when they're talking. She leaves because she feels guilty about her actions. As they make their way out of the woods, she experiences a severe headache that prevents her from opening her eyes until she is overcome by a flood of memories.
She was aware of what had occurred, but she had decided not to tell anyone because she was afraid Asmodeus would wipe her memory again if she did. She ended her relationship with Alessandro after discovering his desire to exterminate the Vointeroz, Asmodeus clan of vampires from the town. She had no choice but to tell him the truth and reveal that her memory returned as a result of their passionate embrace. They ran into Alessandro just as they were ready to return to the Vointeroz estate. Asmodeus, Silvhari, and Alesandro all battled in front of him after they challenged him. He loses the battle in the end. The town's vampire population should not worry. After reconciling with her former husband, Asmodeus, Adrasteia intends to spend her second chance at life among the Vointeroz, where she may fully accept herself for who she truly is. She has been a liar her entire life, but she is finally set free. They made a pact to tell each other sexy fibs only in romantic situations and never afterwards.
Damn, I finish reading another one of the books. I guess I'm more of a book lover than a man lover. I mean I don't hate them, I like them in general but I know they don't like a girl like me, especially the handsome billionaire bachelor, Braxton Bentley.
I didn't know what happened with Braxton's meeting with Monica that day. He didn't tell me anyway so I didn't ask him. I don't want to interfere with what is going on if it doesn't concern me or he doesn't want to tell me.
But when he sends me a message telling me to meet him, that is when I assume that he is going to tell me.
I went to the location he told me about.
I waited there but there was no sign of him. I waited for Braxton but he didn't come, a car came to pick me up instead.
Hmm… I wonder what is going on.
I asked the driver if maybe he read the wrong directions because this is not Braxtons home and it's not his company building either!
It is a bigger state. I used to think that his house is already big enough but this one can accommodate the whole freaking country!
But of course I am exaggerating! That's how big the mansion is! It's not only big but it's flashy with the golden coated furniture.
I saw Braxton and approached him.
"Braxton? What is going on?"
"You are here"
"Yes I'm here you called me. Told me to wait but you are not the one who showed up, it was your kind driver. Unlike you he is actually nice."
"I'm needed here, I can't pick you up and I never said I will."
"Yeah, you are right. But why am I here? What is going on? Is there a party?"
"Yes."
"Really? For what?"
"My parents' anniversary."
"Woah and I'm invited?"
"Yes what do you think you are doing here Ms. Vena?"
"I… I don't know, I just can't believe it!"
"Searched for your seat, I have a lot of things to do. Monica is coming with her Mom." He said.
"So that was your problem yesterday?" I asked.
He nodded.
I knew it!
"Braxton!" I turned around when I heard someone from my back call his name.
My eyes squinted as I looked at her familiar face.
Isn't she…
Our eyes met eye to eye. She smiled at me.
"Hi!" She greeted me and she hugged Braxton.
"Your father is looking for you."
My eyes remained on her as she spoke to Braxton who is also freaking confused right now.
"You know her?" He asked her.
"Yes, she's at the coffee shop that I told you about. Her aunty is saying something about her and I can't stand it. She's alone and there's two of them." She said and looked at me. "How are you?"
"I'm good, thank you. I'm thankful for what you did. I… I don't know if you are Braxton's mother."
"You know my son?" She asked.
Before I could even answer, Braxton answered for me.
"She is my secretary Mom."
"Really? I thought you don't hire pretty secretaries?"
His eyes remained on me.
"Anyway, I need to go. I'll leave the two of you okay?"
We both nodded.
I can't believe it! The woman who saved me from Aunty and Rachel's bullying was Braxton's mother!
It's his mother!
"They went to you?"
"Huh?" I asked.
"Your aunty."
"Uh… yes. About Tommy."
He was about to say something when his mother called for him.
I looked for my seat and tried to get comfortable. The event starts once all the guests have arrived. I saw Dalton coming in my direction, it's also good to have a good companion in this crowded place.
I don't even know anyone aside from Bracton and Dalton.
What a great party!
Can you believe it's already been twenty five years? That's how long Bfaxtons parents are together.
Time flies so fast. But they really went all out for this anniversary celebration. The decorations are beautiful, and the food is delicious. And the music! The DJ is playing all their favorite songs from their wedding. It's like we're reliving that day all over again.
It is such a romantic atmosphere. I'm happy to witness all of this, they're dancing together like they're the only ones in the room. It's like they're newlyweds all over again. I'm so happy for them. They really deserve this special celebration. Absolutely. And did you see the photo booth they set up? It's such a fun idea to have guests take pictures and leave messages for the happy couple. The photo props are hilarious. I can't wait to see what kind of pictures we'll get. And the speeches have been so heartfelt too. They're such wonderful people, and it's a privilege to be here to celebrate with them. I feel honored to be a part of this special occasion.
They didn't just make it about themselves. They're also honoring their friends and family who have supported them over the years. It is true. It's really touching to see all the photos and memories they've shared with their loved ones.
It's a reminder of how important it is to have a strong support system in life. They have been through a lot over the years, but they've always had each other and their loved ones to lean on. It's clear that their love and commitment to each other has only grown stronger over time. And I have no doubt that they'll continue to support each other for many years to come.
I looked over my side and there I saw Monica and her mother. So the rude woman is actually her mother.
Damn.
Her brows raised once she laid her eyes on me.
I'm sure she will ask me to leave once again.
Braxton's mother seems to know Monica's mother. They both chatted and I can't help but watch the two of them talk. They giggle and laugh like college friends.
I was about to get a drink when I bumped into Monica's mother.
"I'm sorry… I'm really sorry I didn't mean to bump into you ma'am."
"Why are you here? This is for close friends only and you are just a secretary." She said,
Oh there it goes.
"I was invited Ma'am." I tried to be polite.
"But there's nothing you can do here. You are just a secretary you shouldn't be here at all."
"Are you asking me to leave ma'am?"
"Yes, that would be good if you actually leave this place where you don't belong."
"But–" she cut me off.
"You are only a secretary, you don't belong—"
"I invited her." A voice said behind my back.
Braxton showed up.
"Alright, but I don't really understand why you need to invite this girl, what is her new anyway?"
Before Braxton could answer I told her my name.
"Ms. Vena. Artemesia Vena."
Her eyes widened after that. Her eyes remained on me and she started to hyperventilate.
I was stunned by what happened to her. Braxton immediately helped her. Everyone stared at me as she continued to hyperventilate. Even Monica was glaring at me.
Before I even knew it. I was asked to leave the party early. They thought I'm the reason why she hyperventilated. I didn't even do anything! But I hope she is happy now because I left.
At home I decided to write a song to make me feel better. To make my mind think of anything else aside from that party.
I scribble some words and come up with something that is not a song but a note that drives me.
I don't know if it just came to me.
How much you listen to me and remember things I've said that I've forgotten is a testament to your undying love for me.
I know how serious you are, and I know that you will go to any length to grant me my wishes and bring me success.
To get there, I need you. What you're doing goes well beyond mere love.
Because the love we share will last forever.
It's a profound emotion that transcends love.
We were meant for each other from the moment our souls were formed.
Only you can complete me...
It's possible that I could accidentally hurt your feelings by using words or phrases that you find offensive.
I'm sorry, and I promise I won't do it again if I can help it.
I know you want to do what's best for me and my parents.
You have no idea how much your kindness means to them.
You've brought so much joy into my life, and for that I am eternally grateful.
And I hope I can be that person for you as well. I want to put a smile on your face and make you happy.
If it's love, loyalty, trust, and support you're after, know that I am more than happy to give those things to you for the rest of my life.
What lengths I will go to in order to make you happy, you have no idea.
You also understand that it is our destiny and our fate to be a unit, to support, love, and care for one another.
Even though our son Abhi hasn't arrived yet, he already has the undying affection of his parents.
The fruit of our unending affection, he will bring us joy and give us reason to celebrate.
I promise to love you without end and to always put you first; I put my faith in you, and I know I have yours. I've got your back and will respect any choice you make.
Don't forget how much I care for you.
More than I love myself, I adore you.
To my sweetheart, good night
Tomorrow, I pray, will be a good day.
You get plenty of rest, too; I know you've been putting in long hours, and yet here I am, adding stress to it with the words I've chosen to say.
Once more, I'm sorry for loving you this much.
Stay safe
My Heart
Yes, I misunderstood what you meant, and I apologize if my words hurt you.
I am aware of the great concern you have for me and my loved ones.
You have no idea how much your parents appreciate all the things they loved seeing you do.
The people you haven't met or spoken to yet are grateful beyond measure for your affection.
Simply put, you are the only person in the world who accepts me completely.
I consider myself the luckiest girl in the world to have someone like you in my life.
You are asking for nothing more than my love, care, and support because you are already giving so much to your family.
It means the world to me that you care about our future just as much as I do.
Thank you so much, my sweetheart.
It is every woman's deepest desire to find a life companion, a man, who will adore her no matter what. You're the only one I've ever truly cared about and loved deeply, so thank you for being such an incredible part of my life.
I promise to love, care for, and stand by you no matter what happens in life.
You have been there for me through good times and bad. To put it simply, I appreciate your unwavering support.
God has truly blessed me by giving me you as my life partner, and I will be forever grateful to him for that.
Because no woman should go without a man like you, I am prepared to spend the rest of my life with you because you love and care for me so much.
Damn why does it sound like this is an open letter?
But to whom?
