“C-colton,” I stammered.

Why is he here? There are a lot of places to be, but he is right in front of me!

What a freaking coincidence!

I scanned him from bottom to top. I know it should be from top to bottom, but I always like to look from bottom to top. He is in his office suit, which looks good on him. He has a style that is very casual and elegant even though he is just wearing a suit.

But I don’t know that it is not a simple suit. I’m sure it is expensive as heck!

I blinked multiple times when our eyes met.

He smiled slightly at me. I’m sure he still remembers me. It’s not that long since we met. It was just yesterday.

“I never ask for your name. What is your name Miss?”

“T-tamantha,” I said as I put the donut in the box.

“So why are you here? Aren’t you supposed to be eating healthily? Not these sweets?”

His head tilted. “Are you?” Lying? Shit! He knows that I’m lying! Shit! I’m sorry, Weston, I didn’t know your brother would be here!

He should know the reason behind all of this. I need to explain to him so that he won’t be furious with Weston or me. We need to come clean sooner.

My heart thudded wildly.

“I can explain,” I said.

Before I could even utter a word, he interrupted me.

“Is it your cheat day today?”

“Yes! Yes, it is my cheat day! You are correct!” I screamed. The people near us turn their heads because of my loud voice. Some raised their eyebrows, looking irritated by my scream.

I bow my head and mutter an apology. The girl near me rolled her eyes. At the same time, others get back to what they are doing.

Tsk. What’s her problem?

What can I do? I can’t help it! I’m almost caught, but here is Colton saying the right reasons and excuses that I could use! I guess luck is on my side this time.

I tried to focus my mind on reading so it will drive him away.

Jona is a good and hardworking niece. She felt like something was missing in her heart from when she was young. She avoided getting close to people and never had a romantic partner, but everything changed when she discovered she wasn’t actually related to her aunt who she had thought was her family.

She wanted to find her real parents to meet them and understand why they didn’t keep her. She met Jojo and Simon when they took her from the coffee shop where she worked. They took her to their isolated big house. She is puzzled about how she got to the big fancy house. At first, she was scared that someone kidnapped her to sell her on the black market, make her do bad things, or take her organs. But this wouldn’t work because she is not healthy and her organs are not good for use.

Chapter 8

It made her very upset to learn that they took her without reason. She was surprised when she saw that her kidnappers were very attractive twin siblings. She found the kidnappers attractive, but she didn’t forget that they were bad people who took her. She was wondering why she was chosen when she didn’t think she was special, and was poor and uncertain about her identity. She saw the twins and realized that they kidnapped her just for fun, not because they had planned it.

She was in the big house for over two days and didn’t speak to anyone except the maid who brought her food. However, she didn’t eat any of it. She tried to run away but Jojo and Simon caught her and punished her in a way that made her lose her innocence.

She started looking for their hugs and kisses soon after. Initially, she wanted to blame and hate them for stealing her purity and innocence, but now she is beginning to become controlled by their desire. To do something they really want to do sexually. She finally agreed to help them because they helped her find her parents. They said yes to it so that she could stay with them. Jona got more comfortable with her situation as time went by, but she noticed the twins were acting strange around her.

She tried not to think about it, but she was correct about what she suspected. She went on a date with two people, and they spent the night near the beach. In the morning, they left without saying goodbye or explaining why. They allowed her to leave without any fuss or trouble. She attempted to contact them, but they are no longer available. She had to go, there was no other option.

They wrote down her father’s address on a piece of paper and gave it to her. She went to the place and realized it was just a spot for parking. She was very angry and said bad words towards them. She returned to her previous life and is now living with her aunt who doesn’t know what happened to her.

She is very sad for a whole month because they are not with her. She felt bad because she gave away something important to them. She enjoyed what they did to her. She says one thing but does the opposite. She doesn’t like herself, but she really doesn’t like them.

Hardin, the son of their landlord, put something in her drink when she visited their house and asked for more time to pay rent. Jona saw a confused vision where she thought Jojo and Simpn were kissing her, but in reality it was Bob and his friend. She thought someone else was attacking her, so she defended herself by stabbing Hardin in the stomach. This caused her to go to jail. She was feeling hopeless and ready to give up. She thought she couldn’t go back to how things were before.

But then, something amazing happened. A good-looking man named Tommy helped her get out of jail, even though they didn’t know each other before. Tommy is the son of his dad’s friend. She met her dad quickly after. Jojo and Simons’ deaths caused her mother’s death, just like what happened to Tommy’s mother. The two people who look the same took her away to get back at her, and now she will do the same thing to them. They are experiencing the same bad thing they gave to others.

After many years, she completed her studies and got a degree in business. But she did more than just that during those years. She wanted to take the twins away and hurt them. At a fancy party, where the Monteveros were guests, she introduced herself as the person who will inherit Salvatore’s fortune.

Everybody was so amazed, including the twins. Her plan is working while the party is happening. She is upset because they were not able to take both twins, only Simon. She showed Jojo her brother’s watch because she knew he would notice it, and he did notice it. She asked him to come to her home to talk about their problems, but she actually has other ideas for him.

That night she was able to kidnap Jojo and both of the Montevero twins were in her hands. She talked to them about what they did to her, but they pretended they didn’t understand. They never tell the truth when they speak. But just to remember the old days, she had sex with both of them at the same time.

The day after, Jona was very surprised to see that the twin brothers ran away. She was scared they would do something bad to her, and that’s exactly what happened. They took her and brought her to the big house where she used to live before.

Despite her reluctance, Jojo told her the truth about what happened. When their mom was pregnant with their sister, she got into a car accident and lost the baby. The car that hit their mom’s car belonged to Jona dad. Jojo and Simon are very angry because their father didn’t do anything when his friend hurt someone.

They think it wasn’t just an accident. So, they decided to find the friend’s daughter and take him away to make him understand how it feels to lose someone you love. They don’t know that Jonah mom passed away and it wasn’t their fault.

Jonah couldn’t believe it, but Theron truly felt that way. Tommy shared a story with him, but Theron had proof to show that it was not just a story. The car belongs to his father, but he doesn’t think it’s true. There must be someone responsible for this.

They talked and made up. They chose to be together again but decided to take things slowly. He agreed to this. She returned to their home and everyone was anxious, but she couldn’t explain what occurred. She ended her agreement to get married to Tommy, which left him in surprise.

Chapter 9

He wanted to change her mind at the wedding, but Jonah had already made up her mind, so he agreed with her decision. Jojo didn’t wait long before asking her to marry him, and she happily said yes. They organized the wedding fast so they could start their life together soon. Trouble often arises when one assumes that everything is going smoothly.

Tommy took her away before she could get married on the next day. She was very surprised to find out that someone had changed their face to look like hers. This person wanted to go to a wedding in her place. She was surprised that someone would pretend to be someone else just to get what they desire. They are all bad people.

Samson is angry with Jona because she left his son and didn’t do what they agreed on. He won against her. Jona discovered that she was the reason why someone disappeared when they were a baby. He was upset that Jona would marry Sergio’s son instead of his own. He looked after it and gave Jona to someone else. He admitted to killing Jojo and Simon sister. She wanted to kill them all, but unfortunately, they lived through it.

He took her dad’s car to escape without getting caught. However, even though something bad happened, it won’t break the strong friendship between Ignacio and Sergio, not even if one of them were to pass away.

He held Sergio, Simon, and Jojo father responsible for his bad luck and for abandoning him when he needed their help. He says it is the other person’s fault that his wife died, but actually he is to blame because he did things that were against the law. Ignacio and Sergio tried to tell him, but he only cares about having money and control. That’s why he’s now a mean and selfish person. Jojo and Simon were correct the whole time.

Jona feels very sad because she doesn’t think she can leave a place where she is alone and someone has bound her with chains and ropes. She is not feeling strong because she has not eaten for a day, but she is determined to keep going. She has to go to her wedding and won’t allow any bad things to happen today or ever. She found a way to remove the ropes tying her hands, then searched for a key and escaped through a small window that she fit through easily. She quickly went to the wedding location without wasting time.

People were very scared to see two women named Jona at the wedding. One was very dirty and the other was wearing a beautiful wedding dress. She wanted to impress them, but Merna knew everything about her because Tommy told him the plan. He tried to catch her attention at the wedding by using a fake name. She needs to reveal a secret that only they know to prove herself.

She likes to have sex with three people at the same time. They did it and she did not feel bad about it. She enjoys understanding who she is and embracing her unconventional side when she is with them.

Everyone was shocked when she suddenly said it, and they couldn’t accept it as true. That was the moment when Merna realized she made a mistake in how she acted. They can be caught easily and taken to jail. The wedding is still happening and the correct person is getting married. Many months later, she had two babies at the same time. She doesn’t know how her life will be.

He is cuddled up with his really good-looking and adventurous partner, and they’re with his supportive twin sibling. She was a girl who didn’t know who she was, but eventually she found people who cared for her. It would happen if she did not like being with three people at once.

I finished reading the book but he is still standing.

What the heck?

He nodded and pulled the chair in front of me. He grabbed a donut and took a bite.

“I understand, it’s not my cheat day today, but I’m craving sweets,” he said while looking intently into my eyes.

I gulped.

Is he still trying to catch me, or what?

I scanned his body. His body is toned, unlike Weston’s body, which is fit. Even if he wears loose clothing, you know he is hitting the gym.

He is a bit odd.

“Uh, okay, get more donuts if you want. I can’t finish everything,” I said and smiled awkwardly.

“Do you want something to partner with donuts? Coffee? Or other sweets?”

“It’s fine. I’m okay. I’m full now.” I lied.

I’m not even complete, I just ate a few donuts, and I want to eat more, but I can’t do it anymore.

Why?

Because I’m afraid that he will notice that I’m not trying to lose weight if I eat a lot more, I feel like he’s still trying to catch me lying about something. But looking at him right now, he seems like a good person, unlike Weston, who is more aggressive and likes to shout sometimes. Colton has a calm demeanor and charm.

“Are you sure? Don’t be shy. It’s on me.” Why does he want to give me free food? I mean, it’s not a wrong gesture, but he doesn’t even know me at all, or am I just right that he is into something?

No. Maybe I’m overthinking, and he wants to eat with someone.

After all, I’m an overthinker which is not good. I don’t recommend it to everyone. It only makes you sad, but what can I do?

I can’t stop it.

My eyes remained on him.

Maybe he’s just lovely or

He doesn’t want to eat alone.

I get him.

Sometimes when Lindsey is not at home, I get lonely eating alone. Even though the television is on for background noise, sadness creeps inside me. I can’t enjoy the food, even if it’s delicious or my favorite. I’m used to being alone, but sometimes it just gets to you, especially if it’s your special day. I don’t know if it’s special anymore because it’s a birthday.

No one wants to celebrate it with me aside from Lindsey and Andrew, but I know they’re doing it to make me feel better. And they are great at making me feel better.

I stared at him. He doesn’t look like he is sad or empty. I can see it in his eyes. Maybe he is just genuine.

“What?” he asked.

“I think I like coffee.” I didn’t know where that came from, but I uttered it.

He smiled and called for the waiter. He ordered more sweet cakes and coffee fraps. We ate in silence. Sometimes, we would have small talk, and it was lovely. It wasn’t awkward anymore.

He asked me general questions, like how old I am and my passions. For the first time in my life, someone asked about my passion, what I cared for, and what was important to me.

I don’t know what I felt, but instantly I felt comfortable with him. Like he is not going to do anything horrible to me. Somehow I felt like he is a dear friend of mine. Aside from Lindsey, of course, she also cares about the things that are important to me, but aside from her, he is the second one who asked for it.

I’m not sure if there will be a third one, but I don’t care about it anymore.

“Thank you for treating me, Colton. I need to go. I know you’re a businessman. Just like Weston, you guys are busy. I don’t want to waste your time anymore,” I said as I grabbed my bag, preparing to stand up and leave the café shop.

“No, wait!”

“Hmm?” My head tilted.

His eyes went to the counter, and he nodded to the person in charge.

After we ate, he even bought me another box of cake for me to take home.
