Crucial
The sun cast a warm glow over the park as Tamantha strolled along the tree-lined path. She relished the peaceful atmosphere, enjoying the solitude that nature provided. Lost in her thoughts, she hardly noticed the figure approaching her until a familiar voice broke through her reverie. Tamantha had nothing to do so she seek solace in reading books.
Adrasteia Meranza has always been fascinated by blood sucking vampires. She knows everything about them. She is clever, attractive and valiant.
It's her last year in college at Colmillos University at Colmillos Town. Her library is full of books about vampire romances. The thought of a strong, masculine and attractive vampire taking her allure her more to adore them.
Her fantasy is to be devirginized by one of it. She invests her time in reading books, romanticizing about them but then Adrasteia realizes that the town where she grew up is owned by vampires.
She found out that his long time schoolmate, Asmodeus Vointeroz, the majestic, serious, stout and masculine guy is one of them. It's her chance to finally lost her purity and fulfill her sex fantasy.
She asked him to take her but to her disappointment he didn't agree with her. She felt so bad about it that she even met his fellow vampires just to persuade him but she ended up meeting his whole clan.
Asmodeus is so annoyed with Adrasteia that he unwillingly agrees to her condition just to stop her from spreading rumors about them, even though no one would believe her, some will still try to know the truth and he doesn't want anything to be revealed to humans.
But before he agreed to her condition he suggested that they should let it come out naturally and not force it while they're waiting to be both aroused to get into it.
They spend most of the days together hanging out with Asmodeus' brother Silvhari and Silvana who's also they're friends. Until at one point when they are alone in the middle of the forest, things get hot and they end up doing it.
Asmodeus taking Adrasteia's virginity. He can't believe how strong she was that night to take him all in, considering the fact that he's a lot more stronger than her but he is also amazed how strong she is as well like she's one of them, or it's just her fascination about vampires that makes him think like that about her.
After that night, it happened again multiple times, in the bathroom or their school, on the sink, on their house and almost everywhere but they're favorite spot is the forest.
All those joyful things that happen to them became dreadful when Adrasteia found out that the reason her father is not is because of an accident itself that happens at the moment when she was born.
The accident happened in the middle of the road, her mother almost lost her in a miscarriage but a group of vampire saw them, they asked for help but they will only give it to them in one condition and that is for her father to become one of them.
Her father loved her more than anything so he agreed to it even though her mother didn't. She wanted both of them to be alive and with her but she didn't have a choice.
Turns out the vampires that saw them that night are Asmodeus' mother and Silvana's aunt, who happened to fall in love with Adrasteia's father the moment he saw him.
Asmodeus' mom revived Adrasteia, the reason why she has flaming locks of hair and different eyes than humans. Her fascination about vampires is more than just about the novels that she read, it's because deep inside she knew she's one of them.
Soon enough her mother found out that she's seeing Asmodeus and asked her to break up with him but she doesn't want to even though she found out the whole truth.
Adrasteia's mom begged Asmodeus to leave her daughter alone because they already got his husband who died because of a vampire hunter.
She wants Adrasteia to leave without the pain knowing how she was brought back from that accident.
Even though Asmodeus falls in love with Adrasteia already, he doesn't want her to be in that pain forever, he doesn't want her to be blinded by love.
For the last time, Adrasteia's mom let her meet with Asmodeus but she didn't know that's gonna be the last time they'll meet because Asmodeus removed her memory of him and everything about them, even the truth just to keep her safe. She pleaded for him not to remove her memory but Asmodeus is certain about it.
Three years later, Adrasteia is in another place which is far from Colmillos, she has a government job, which she finds boring but still works on it.
She's still living with her Mom and her mom never said a word about vampires to her.
She burned all of her vampire novels and even the paintings she made before. She's always updated on when it's going to be a full moon because she's doesn't want Adrasteia to look at it, afraid for her memory to comeback or trigger it, she always want her to be in their house or go with her best friend Alessandro that she met on the same job.
He is giving her hints that he likes her but she ignores it and she made it clear that she only wanted him as a friend and he accepted it but he didn't give up until now.
Adrasteia wants to go back to Colmillos because of Alessandro who also lives there.
She didn't know that it's his home town because he doesn't see him there often but he seems familiar to her.
Adrasteia's Mom is needed by her friend who got into an accident and she can't leave her, Adrasteia took that chance to ask for permission to go back to their hometown.
After a lot of begging for her to go back to Colmillos, her Mom agreed but only let her stay in Alessandro's house and never go to the forest. Adrasteia went back to her hometown with the help of Alessandro and Alta, her childhood friend.
Everything is the same as what she remembers. She met Alessandro's parents and they liked her. On the second day I went to the mall.
A lady bumped into her, she was confused why the lady was so shocked to see her but she shrugged it off and left.
On the third day she wandered near the forest and found the same lady who bumped into her but this time the lady was happy to see her and even introduced herself to her.
It's Silvana, though she kept an oath to never see Adrasteia again, she can't stop herself.
She became her friend before and what happened with they're family is awful and she can't help but feel bad about it.
Adrasteia felt that she knew her, like she's her friend, then they hung out all the time.
Until a mysterious guy saw them who made Silvana uncomfortable.
The next day she hasn't seen her again, she's worried for her but she's wondering who must be the guy, he also looks familiar to her.
Everything was familiar to her when she came back. She found out that Alessandro is a vampire hunter when she saw a room in their mansion full of vampire daggers, arrows, bows and everything to kill a vampire. Even a piece of clothing.
She doesn't know why she didn't feel scared seeing it, she's terrified of who Alessandro will use. Somehow she didn't know why she felt connected to it. One night she sneaked out of their old house and went to the forest, she saw Asmodeus.
He was stunned to see her but she doesn't know why his eyes are longing for something.
They talk for a bit, she wanted to talk to him more but Asmodeus cut her off.
There's something about the guy that pulls her in so she doesn't stop that night. She's always going to the same spot in the forest, she's hanging out with Silvana and she will always look for Asmodeus until he talks to her.
For some reason he hugs her for a long period of time, she doesn't know why she feels like home when she is in his arms. Like a road that she's taken before but somehow forgot how to take the way on that road.
One night when they are talking, Adrasteia can't help but kiss him. She walks away because she's ashamed of what she did.
On the way out of the forest, her head aches so bad that she can't even open her eyes until all her memories flashback to her.
She knew what happened to her but she decided not to tell anyone, she's sure Asmodeus would erase her memory again.
She broke up with Alessandro when she found out that he had a plan to kill all the vampires in the town, specifically the Vointeroz, Asmodeus clan. She doesn't have a choice but to tell it to him and confess that she got her memory back after the kiss.
When they're about to go back to the Vointeroz manor they saw Alessandro. They confronted him and Asmodeus, Silvhari and Alesandro fought. In the end he is defeated.
All the vampires in the town are safe. Asmodeus and Adrasteia get back together, she decides to stay with the Vointeroz and live as one of them to finally embrace what she is the second time she was born.
All her life she's living a lie, now she's free from all those lies. Both of them took an oath to only use sexy lies in love, not in their lives.
After I read I left and jog out to the park to clear my head. Reading helps but my mind seems to have a shit for it’s its own.
“Hey, Tamantha! Fancy meeting you here,” called out Colton, jogging up to her with a wide grin on his face.
Tamantha’s heart skipped a beat as she turned to face him. Colton was undeniably charming, with his sandy blond hair and vibrant blue eyes that sparkled under the sunlight. But there was something different about him today, a nervous energy that she hadn’t noticed before.
“Hi, Colton,” Tamantha replied, unable to hide her surprise. “What brings you here?”
Colton took a deep breath, his hands slightly trembling. “Well, I wanted to ask you something,” he began, his voice filled with both excitement and hesitation. “I’ve been thinking a lot lately, and I can’t deny that I’m attracted to you. I know this might sound sudden, but would you consider going on a date with me?”
Tamantha’s eyes widened in astonishment. Her mind raced to process his words. Colton was taken; she had seen him with his girlfriend, Melissa, on numerous occasions. Confusion washed over her, mixed with a hint of curiosity. Why would Colton ask her out if he was already in a relationship?
Tamantha bit her lip, struggling to find the right words. “Colton, I appreciate your honesty, but I’ve noticed you with Melissa. Are you sure about this?”
Colton’s face softened, his gaze meeting hers with earnestness. “You’re right, I am currently in a relationship with Melissa,” he admitted. “But recently, I’ve realized that things aren’t working out between us. It’s not fair to either of us to stay in a relationship that lacks true happiness. That’s why I’m here, asking you out—to explore the possibility of something different, something that feels right.”
Tamantha’s mind whirled with conflicting emotions. Part of her wanted to dismiss the idea entirely, to keep her distance and avoid any potential heartache. But another part of her yearned to know more about Colton, to see if they shared a connection that could transcend mere attraction.
After a moment of contemplation, Tamantha looked at Colton, her eyes filled with a mix of caution and curiosity. “I appreciate your honesty, Colton, and I have to admit, I am curious about what could happen between us. Let’s take it slow, get to know each other better. But please remember, I won’t be a part of anything that hurts someone else.”
A mixture of relief and gratitude flooded Colton’s face. “Thank you, Tamantha. I promise I’ll respect your boundaries, and I won’t let anyone get hurt in the process. Let’s take this one step at a time.”
With a newfound sense of hope and intrigue, Tamantha and Colton continued their walk through the park. As they ventured deeper into the lush surroundings, they shared stories, dreams, and their deepest fears. They laughed, they listened, and in those moments, they began to discover the potential for something special—a connection that could alter their lives in ways they never expected.
Colton asked her for a coffee and she agrees.
Tamantha sat in her favorite coffee shop, her hands clasped around a steaming cup of chamomile tea. She watched the swirls of steam rise from the surface, lost in her thoughts. Colton’s unexpected proposition lingered in her mind, creating a whirlwind of questions and uncertainties. She couldn’t help but wonder why he was pursuing her, even though he was already in a relationship. Curiosity gnawed at her, yet she couldn’t let him see how deeply his actions affected her.
She took a sip of her tea, hoping the warmth would calm her racing thoughts. Tamantha glanced around the bustling café, where couples chatted intimately, their hands intertwined. A pang of longing tugged at her heart. She desired a genuine connection, one built on trust and shared values. But with Colton’s proposal hanging in the air, she couldn’t ignore the skepticism that danced within her.
She observed Colton at a nearby table, engrossed in a conversation with a group of friends. His infectious laughter echoed through the café, and it was clear that he possessed a charismatic personality that drew people in. But as Tamantha watched him interact, she couldn’t help but wonder what lay beneath his charming façade.
Her mind raced, conjuring up scenarios and explanations for Colton’s actions. Was he simply bored in his current relationship, seeking excitement elsewhere? Or perhaps he had grown closer to Tamantha over time and genuinely saw a potential connection. The possibilities swirled around her, threatening to consume her thoughts.
Tamantha took another sip of her tea, relishing its soothing effect. She reminded herself to tread carefully, to guard her heart against potential disappointment. She didn’t want Colton to know how much his pursuit intrigued her, how she yearned to understand his motivations without jeopardizing her own emotional well-being.
She observed Colton’s animated gestures and the way his eyes sparkled when he spoke. It was undeniable that he possessed an allure that drew people towards him. But Tamantha had learned the hard way that appearances could be deceiving, and she couldn’t afford to be swept away by empty promises.
As she sat there, contemplating her next move, a determination settled within her. She would take control of her own destiny, seeking answers without exposing her vulnerability. Tamantha would observe Colton from a distance, studying his actions and deciphering the true nature of his intentions. She would listen to her intuition, trusting it to guide her through the uncertainties that lay ahead.
With renewed resolve, Tamantha put her cup down and stood up, ready to face the enigma that was Colton. She would embark on this journey with cautious optimism, determined to uncover the truth while guarding her heart. And as she walked out of the coffee shop, she knew that the path she had chosen would be filled with twists and turns, but it was a path she was willing to explore, if only to find the answers she sought.

Weston sat at a corner table in the cozy coffee shop, nursing a cup of dark roast coffee. His eyes wandered aimlessly, lost in a sea of thoughts. He had been feeling an inexplicable sense of unease lately, and it seemed that every corner he turned, he was confronted with reminders of his failing marriage.
His gaze settled on a familiar figure at the adjacent table, and his heart skipped a beat. It was Tamantha, his wife, sitting across from Colton, his own brother. A surge of mixed emotions coursed through Weston’s veins – surprise, anger, and a pang of jealousy that he couldn’t quite shake off.
Tamantha looked radiant, her smile lighting up the room as she engaged in a lively conversation with Colton. Their laughter and easy camaraderie stung Weston, intensifying his feelings of betrayal. He couldn’t help but wonder if his suspicions were true – was Colton the reason Tamantha had asked for a divorce?
A tumultuous storm brewed within Weston as he observed the scene before him. His mind raced, conjuring up images of secret meetings and whispered confidences. He recalled the whispers he had overheard, the hushed conversations that hinted at a deeper connection between Tamantha and Colton.
Unable to bear the sight any longer, Weston rose from his seat and approached their table, his footsteps heavy with a mix of apprehension and frustration. As he neared, his gaze locked with Tamantha’s, and he could see the surprise and guilt flicker in her eyes.
“Tamantha,” Weston’s voice trembled slightly, betraying the emotions raging within him. “What’s going on here?”
Tamantha looked up, her expression a mix of astonishment and concern. “Weston,” she stammered, her voice laced with regret. “I… I can explain.”
Colton, too, seemed taken aback by Weston’s unexpected arrival. He glanced at Tamantha, then back at his brother, uncertainty etched across his face.
Weston’s eyes darted between the two of them, his jaw clenched tightly. He struggled to find the right words, to articulate the turmoil that churned within him. “Is this… Is Colton the reason behind… behind our failing marriage?” he finally managed to say, his voice tinged with a hint of accusation.
Tamantha’s eyes welled up with tears, her hands trembling. “No, Weston,” she replied, her voice filled with raw emotion. “Colton and I have only recently gotten to know each other better. Our problems… they started long before that. We both bear our share of responsibility.”
Colton interjected, his voice filled with sincerity. “I never intended to come between you two, Weston. Tamantha and I have only started to explore the possibility of something more. But I want you to know that our connection, whatever it may be, didn’t cause your marriage to falter. That burden lies with both of you.”
Weston’s anger began to subside, replaced by a mix of confusion and a glimmer of understanding. He looked into Tamantha’s tear-filled eyes, searching for the truth buried within the ruins of their relationship.
“I don’t know what the future holds for us, Tamantha,” Weston whispered, his voice strained. “But I need time to process all of this. I need to understand if our love can overcome the challenges we’ve faced.”
With a heavy heart, Weston turned away from the table, his steps weighed down by a mix of resentment.
Tamantha watched as Weston stormed away, leaving her and Colton behind. Confusion washed over her like a tidal wave, leaving her feeling adrift and uncertain. She couldn’t comprehend why Weston had reacted with such intensity, his jealousy seeping into every word and action.
As her gaze shifted from Weston’s retreating figure to Colton, she noticed the concern etched on his face. The once-vibrant energy that had filled their conversation was replaced by a cloud of apprehension. Tamantha couldn’t help but feel responsible for the sudden tension that had engulfed them all.
She turned her attention inward, seeking to make sense of the complex emotions that churned within her. She had never intended to cause harm or ignite jealousy between brothers. Tamantha’s heart ached with the weight of her failing marriage, and her growing connection with Colton had offered a temporary solace—a glimmer of hope in the midst of uncertainty.
But now, as she watched the repercussions of their newfound bond unfold, she couldn’t help but question the choices she had made. Was it selfish of her to explore a connection with Colton while her marriage was still in question? Had she inadvertently deepened the divide between Weston and herself?
Tamantha’s mind raced, desperately seeking answers that seemed elusive. She had longed for understanding, for a chance to bridge the gap that had formed between her and Weston. But now, faced with his jealous reaction, she couldn’t help but feel lost, caught in the middle of conflicting emotions.
In her heart, Tamantha believed that Weston’s jealousy stemmed from a deeper well of insecurity and fear. Perhaps he felt threatened by the mere possibility of losing her, even if their marriage was already crumbling. But that realization didn’t alleviate the confusion that clouded her thoughts.
Tamantha’s gaze fell upon Colton, who met her eyes with a mixture of concern and empathy. She felt a flicker of comfort in his presence, a reminder that she wasn’t alone in navigating this tumultuous journey. He had never asked her to choose between him and Weston, understanding the complexities of their situation.
In the midst of her confusion, Tamantha yearned for clarity and a path forward. She longed to find a way to mend the fractures in her marriage, if that was still possible. But she couldn’t ignore the undeniable connection she shared with Colton, one that offered her a glimmer of happiness in the midst of her despair.
As Tamantha pondered her next steps, she knew that understanding and open communication were crucial. She needed to have an honest conversation with Weston, to unravel the tangle of emotions and uncover the truth beneath his jealousy. Only then could she hope to find resolution, to navigate the complex labyrinth of her heart.
With a deep breath, Tamantha rose from her seat, determination resolute in her eyes. She would seek the answers she sought, traversing the uncertain terrain of her emotions with courage and compassion. And in that quest for clarity, she hoped to find a path that would lead to healing, understanding, and ultimately, a sense of peace.
