I ignored him. I swam away from him, but he quickly caught up and held me by my waist.

"I am sorry..." he said and kissed my forehead.

"You're really jealous. We're here together now, just the two of us, and Luther helped you. You shouldn't be jealous like this."

"Thes, you're being overdramatic."

"Crazy! What do you mean overdramatic? Just yesterday, it seemed like you were going to kill Rozzean with your anger and jealousy, and now you're saying everything's okay! I'm definitely going to be shocked!"

"We talked about what happened. I also found out about the agreement between him and Dad."

I explained everything to Thes, and she was genuinely shocked. I, too, was surprised when I learned the whole truth about Rozzean, and I didn't know how to react initially.

"Sht. So, I was right when I thought that there's something on Tito George. Wow, you and Rozzean were just waiting for each other. I even cursed at him. It's also pitiful what happened to him, just watching you from a distance because of the agreement with your Dad. Mygad, Tangi, your love life could be a soap opera!"

I smiled and then brushed my hair that the wind was blowing. I tucked it behind my ear.

"But we are okay now. I still don't know when we'll go back to face our parents and discuss the wedding."

"Rozzean... wanted to get married immediately. That's what we'll talk about when we return."

"Omg!! wow! with all the tears you shed and the intense pain you went through, it's really you two in the end! But I saw it coming, especially when that neighbor girl of Rozzean tried to intervene. What's her name again?"

"Klari."

It won't end at Aunt Cynthia's party for Klari and me. She should know her place. It looks like I need to wake her up big time to make her realize that she has no chance of getting Rozzean's love.

"I will deal with that woman. Especially now that I know the truth."

Rozzean Cyron is mine. Only mine, and I'll make that clear to Klari right in front of her.

"Go! I got your back! I'm so annoyed with that woman! I want to pinch her using my gold nail cutter! But back to you!! Omg! I am so happy for you, Tangi! The bedroom battles will continue! Fight well, you're up for it again! You're about to taste the jumbo hotdog, can you handle it?"

I burst into laughter because she really went all out with the singing. You won't get bored when you're talking to Thes.

She looked at me seriously now. She quickly changed her mood.

I couldn't help but touch my lips because of what Thes said. What's different about my smile?

"Why? Is there something?"

I earnestly waited for Thes' answer, and when I heard it, I just closed my eyes.

"A smile that has been well-watered! How many times did you two do it today, Tangi?"

My face heated up because of Thes' question.

Why did I even hope for a sensible answer from this friend of mine?!
