Chapter 30 His Feelings

Rozzean's POV continuation

I went to my bedroom and lay down. I felt a different kind of pain in my body. I cleared my throat many times, and my head was hurting so much. I closed my eyes to sleep, hoping that when I wake up, the pain would be gone.

But I was wrong. After a few hours, my condition worsened. I was shivering. I couldn't even move my body to get up and take a glass of water.

"D-Damn it. I-I have work tomorrow."

I reached for my cellphone and tried to call Manang Selya to come and bring me some water, but I dialed the wrong number because of my blurry vision. It's Tali's number.

My new maid.

"Hello?"

It took me a while to answer because my throat was sore.

"W-Water..."

"S-Sir Rozzean?"

"I n-need water, bring water to my room."

"Okay, sir! Just a moment!"

It didn't take long before I heard the door of my bedroom open. I could hear the sound of my air conditioner. It seemed like she adjusted my air conditioner.

"S-Sir?" she asked.

"Water."

"Sir, you're sick. You need to eat. This tinola is still hot, you can sip the broth. There are also medicines here."

She brought food? I didn't ask her that.

"I wish, sir, you had told us you weren't feeling well, so we could have taken care of it sooner."

I closed my eyes. This maid is really different. She's talkative, even answering back to her employer.

I took the water and had a sip. The pain in my throat didn't ease up. Despite the difficulty, I tried to sit up against the headboard of my bed.

"Sir, you should have worn something. That's why you're shivering. The air conditioner was strong when I came in, and you still don't have anything on the top. Where is your drawer?"

I looked at her. Damn. Is she scolding me?

"Sir, where is your drawer? You need to get dressed. Do you want to get sick? You surely don't want to get hypothermia, right?"

I looked in the direction of my belongings. It seems she understood what I was trying to say, so she stood up immediately.

I lay down and closed my eyes again. I really feel terrible. I can't be like this until tomorrow.

"Sir, please put on your clothes."

"Are sleeping, sir?"

"C-Can... a sleep person... answer?" I asked.

I forced myself to sit up again, leaning against the headboard of the bed. I tried to pick up my clothes, but I struggled to raise my arms. Fck. I can't even lift my arms.

"Sir, let me do it," Tali said.

She didn't wait for me to respond. She picked up the clothes and approached me. I gulped when she was so close to me. This is the first time I've let someone touch me, especially another maid. I could smell her, and the scent lingered.

I looked at her as she put the shirt on me. I had a chance to see her face closer.

She has round, expressive eyes and pouty lips. Her face was so close to mine. I found myself staring at her lower lip as she bit it while looking at me. I suddenly felt a strange sensation when she did that.

Ahh...

Her lips look so soft, and inviting—

Fck.

What the hell am I thinking?

When she put the clothes on me, she adjusted them. I just watched her while she did it. Then her hands went to my hair and brushed it. I was momentarily surprised. She did it as if it were a normal thing.

I was too weak to speak and ask her.

But what she did made me notice her. Now, my new maid has caught my attention.

She's like my Nanay Sol. She makes sure that I have all the things I need. She even puts medicine on my prepared breakfast. I like the food she cooks. I enjoy watching her on CCTV.

She gets along well with Manang Selya.

When I needed to go home to Manila to visit my family, I often looked at the CCTV on my phone to see what was happening in my house. I saw Tali and Manang eating together, watching TV, and laughing together.

At least, somehow, Manang has someone she gets along with.

After spending three days at home, I didn't spend the night in our mansion. Mama wanted me to stay there, but I said I would go home. I suddenly missed the food at my house.

It didn't used to be like this.

"Manang, where's Tali?"

When I arrived home, that was the first thing I asked Manang Selya. She seemed surprised by my arrival.

"Sir, we thought you weren't coming home," she replied.

I grabbed a beer from the fridge and glanced at Manang, "Sorry, Manang, I wasn't able to inform you."

I went up to the rooftop to have a drink. But when I looked down by the pool, I was surprised by what I saw.

"What the hell?"

A woman was in my pool. And damn, she swims so well.

Wait, a woman?

"Fck? Is that Tali?"

I couldn't make out her face very well because of the darkness below, but I knew it was her. I could see the fairness of her skin, and her curves were visible because of her fair skin.

Damnit. She's wearing a black bikini.

I didn't even have a clue that my maid had a sexy body—

"W-what? What are you thinking, Rozzean? Are you going crazy?"

I took a sip of the beer I was holding, but I couldn't take my eyes off her as Tali swam in my pool.

I don't know how many times I tried to look away, but my eyes always came back to watch her swim.

"Damn it."

Just by darn watching her I could feel something growing between my thighs.

"What the fck?"

I can't believe this! Just watching my maid swim turned me on.

When she surfaced in the pool, Tali's eyes locked onto me. It seemed she noticed me watching her because she moved. When I saw her sink, I immediately went down.

I walked quickly towards the pool. By the time I got there, she was already dressed.

And that was one of those nights that I will never forget. I never thought I would get excited because of my maid.

And the worst part? I let off steam, thinking about the scene that happened in the pool.

But that didn't ends there. The strange feeling I had for my maid.

I started to appreciate her. Her attention was always on me. Every time I arrived, I noticed she was there, ready to wait if I had any orders for her. I also looked forward to her cooking. She knew exactly what to do when it came to me.

While watching them on CCTV, I saw her hug Manang. Something happened. When I saw that she stayed on the rooftop, I immediately went up.

"Tali."

"S-Sir, what are you doing here?" It seemed she didn't expect me to come here.

"What happened?"

"I am asking you."

She approached me.

"H-How did Manang Selya become your maid?"

So, something really happened.

I just stared at her and didn't speak.

"We talked earlier about her family. Her husband is no longer alive, and her child has gone abroad with their spouse."

"Selya used to be a beggar. I always saw her outside my company, waiting for someone to give her money or food. Even though the guards would chase her away many times, she would stay there. Maybe because my employees often gave her alms."

Her lips parted. I saw tears forming in her eyes. I feel the need to comfort her because of her reaction.

"I decided to keep her. Three? Four? I'm not sure how many years she's been here—what the hell, why are you crying?"

I was surprised when she started crying. I didn't know what to do; I raised my hand but immediately lowered it.

"B-Because I feel sorry for Manang, sir."

"When I found out her child left her, I felt so sorry for her. Now, I learned that she used to be a beggar and lost her home. I felt even more hurt by her life situation. She's so kind to me. I have nothing to say about her character... she teaches me everything I need to know in this house."

"I almost see her as my mother, and now I find out about her past."

I wanted to hug her, but I stopped myself.

"Stop crying. Manang Selya's life is better now than before. What happened in the past can't be changed, Tali."

I caressed her head.

"Stop crying."

I didn't expect that I would be comforting a maid just because I didn't want to see her cry. But that moment I felt the time slow down.

The sound of her crying and the pain on her face—I just can't stand it.

But an unexpected moment happened. I confirmed what I felt when Tali threw her shoes at me. It is like she wake up some senses on me.

I really didn't expect that. She was looking at me with anger.

"I'm sorry, s-sir," she said while bowing. "I'm sorry, sir."

But I didn't get mad, I should be tight because I am her boss. But rather I find her cute at that moment. Perhaps she's scared of me because of my shouting earlier, and now she might think I'll scold her.

"I don't feel sincerity in your words. You're asking for forgiveness, but you won't even look at me?" I asked.

"S-Sorry, sir. I got carried away by my emotions... I didn't mean to."

"Get the first aid kit from the drawer near you, then come to me and treat what you did," I ordered her, which seemed unexpected for her. Maybe she is thinking I will fire her.

But no. I can't do that now that I slowly realize the feelings I have for her.

"Tali, did you hear what I said?"

She followed what I said, but she didn't come closer to me. She just stayed away.

"Don't just stand there, clean my wound, Tali."

When she approached me, I faced her. I closed my eyes as she began to treat the bruises on my forehead.

"S-Sir."

"Hmm?"

"A-Aren't you going to fire me? I should be fired for what I did."

I opened my eyes at her words. Damnit she looks so cute she's even pouting.

Of course, I will not do that, baby.

"I need help, Tali."

She was so close to me; I could smell her. I think that's her natural scent. It lingers. I fckng want her closer.

"But even so, what I did was wrong. You are my boss, and I hurt you. Any other boss would get angry and kick me out for doing this."

Her voice sounded like she was genuinely sorry for what she did. I felt like she might decide to leave, so I spoke.

"I make decisions differently. So don't compare how I manage things here to how others do."

"I need you in my house."

After I comforted her on the rooftop and tended to the wound, I realized my feelings for Tali.

It's growing.

I never thought I could develop feelings for someone this quickly.

I can't believe I'm attracted to her—to my maid. I've never felt like this before. It's new to me. I never expected to feel this way about her.

She's kind, she cooks delicious food. She gets along so well with Manang. She knows how to take care of people. The way she looks at me and takes care of me... that's the care I need.

That's what I want.

And as days passed, I confirmed this feeling even more when my friend Maki arrived. I saw them talking in the gazebo, so close to each other.

A strange feeling rose in me—the feeling of jealousy.
