Chapter 4. Not My Type

I can't move. I can feel him behind me. As I'm about to leave, I see out of the corner of my eye that he's reaching for the towel on the sofa. Oh my, I think I might have a heart attack. If I get accepted as his maid, it looks like my blood pressure will always be high because of him.

"So, tell me..."

Why is this man undressed?! He's not wearing any underwear! Nothing at all!

"How old are you?" I heard him ask. But due to the shock, I couldn't immediately respond. My hands covered my eyes, and I wasn't moving at all. It felt like a moment ago when I saw his jolly massive hotdog, my soul briefly left my body.

So, that's what it looks like.

But is it a normal size?

I don't know! It's the first time I've seen a hotdog! I haven't even watched adult films! What do I know about hotdog sizes!

"You seemed surprised. How old are you?"

"Y-Yes, Sir Hotdog?" I was shocked when he spoke again, and I didn't even realize what I had just said. What the hell, Thaliana Tangi!

I swallowed hard. I could clearly see how his forehead wrinkled and his eyebrows furrowed in response to me.

Sht. Did I really call him Sir Hotdog?!

I turned away again and berated myself. I slowly lowered my hands and closed my eyes tightly. I still couldn't bring myself to face him.

"Are you hungry?" he asked seriously, but my eyes welled up with tears, and I finally turned to him. I nodded vigorously.

"N-No! I already ate before coming here. W-What were you saying, sir?"

Damn his huge hotdog!

I saw him out of the corner of my eye as he picked something up from the table beside him. It was a piece of paper. Then, he turned around and was now in front of me. I avoided making eye contact when I noticed that he was wearing only the towel around his lower body.

Doesn't he plan to get dressed?!

"How old are you?" he asked me.

"I'm twenty-nine years old, s-sir," I replied without looking at him.

I could see him from the corner of my eye, and he was looking at me with his hands resting behind the sofa. Just flexing? but nice muscles. Damn. He has a great body, too.

"Sit down, do you plan to talk to me while standing and not looking at me?" he asked.

I didn't move, afraid to approach him. Well, I might not know what he'll do to me! What decent man would face a maid applicant wearing only a towel? And his hotdog said hello earlier!

Oh, Thaliana Tangi, erase! erase!

"B-Because, sir, I'm not used to seeing a man's body. A-And, is it right for you to face me wearing just that?" I asked him.

When he stood up, I looked at him, but only for a moment.

"Okay, I'll come back. Sit down and wait for me."

I raised an eyebrow at what he said. He entered a door that I think leads to his room. Earlier, he came out from there, which I assumed was the bathroom. It looks like he took a quick shower because his hair was wet."

As he instructed, I sat down. What's with that man? I had a negative impression of him now. Why is he flaunting his body in front of anyone? And I even saw his hotdog.

What's his deal?

It's crazy. My confidence is fading. That hotdog might attack me later. It seemed to have a mind of its own earlier because it moved. It waved. It fckng salute at me. Seriously.

"Creepy," I muttered to myself and shrugged my shoulders.

"So, what's your name?"

I turned my head when I heard Rozzean's voice.

Oh... he's wearing clothes now. He's wearing gray sweatpants and a black shirt. His eyes are beautiful. Deep eyes, and his lips made my lips feel shy because it was red.

Gosh! you are checking him out, Thaliana!

But, damn, the effect of what I saw earlier still lingers because even though he's dressed now, I still find my eyes wandering down there.

"Do I need to repeat my question again?" he asked again. Irritated.

Focus, Tangi!

"N-No, sir, I-I am sorryI was not paying attention and I-Uhm--"

"I hate repeating my self. Why didn't you answer it?"

I winced. This man had quite an unpleasant demeanor. I would make sure to note this in my notebook later, which I reserved solely for him. I shouldn't let information about him slip by that I wouldn't like.

"U-Uh, Sir, it's because I was still taken aback by what I saw earlier—"

"You're twenty-nine, right? Still a virgin? And don't tell me that's your first time seeing a d/ck?"

My lips parted. M-My goodness! Did this man have no filter?

"I'm not used to seeing that, sir. With all due respect, I'm not the kind of woman who engages in intimate relations before marriage. Besides, you're the one at fault for what happened earlier."

Rozzean leaned back on the sofa and crossed his legs. I found myself looking at his biceps. He probably takes good care of himself at the gym? Impressive—

Focus, Tangi!

"Why is it my fault? I am here inside my room... in my own house, woman."

Pretending I didn't understand his statement, I furrowed my brow.

"I'm sorry, sir?"

He cleared his throat and stared at me. His gaze felt judgmental, like I had done something wrong. I hadn't been in his house for an hour, and I already had a lot to list down in my notebook later.

"I didn't know you were coming into my room. I'm used to walking around shirtless. I also didn't hear you knock."

"Damn, why am I explaining to this woman?" he muttered, which I overheard.

I pursed my lips, but when his gaze returned to me, I cleared my throat and began to introduce myself and explain my purpose.

"I'm Tali Dela Cruz, sir. I'm alone in life, looking for work. I don't have any parents anymore. That's why I'm here, hoping to be hired as a maid. I'm very skilled in household chores. You have nothing to worry about with me," I told him.

His expression remained blank as he looked at me. I, on the other hand, was nervous. Even though he let me in, I was sure he'd still scrutinize me. Oh, I hope he accepts me.

Why did I jump the gun earlier by assuming I'd be accepted? Especially when this man still had to interview me?

"Tali Dela Cruz?" he repeated.

I nodded.

"I have only one rule in my house, Tali."

I sat up straight and looked at him seriously. I could feel that he was going to accept me.

"The reason I keep running out of maids is that they all end up having feelings for me. I don't want that in my house. I fire them immediately."

I was stunned by what he said. So that's why there was only one maid I saw earlier. The elderly one.

But, what?

"S-Sir?"

"One of my rules is that you must not develop any feelings for me."

My evil self couldnt! Wow! just wow!

What nerve this guy has. He really thinks highly of himself! Is that really his rule? My expectations were so high! Yes, he's handsome, but maybe he's just assuming things based on his past maids?

"The moment I find out that you have feelings for me, you'll have to leave this mansion."

I took a step back, my lips gape. After a few seconds, I covered my mouth because I couldn't believe what he just said. So, this is what my dad wanted me to marry?

"Sir, with all due respect," I began, struggling to contain my frustration.

"You have quite a bit of nerve. Your rudeness and arrogance are overwhelming, and I want to make it clear that you are not my type."
