The Fifty-Eighth Chapter
Leo was happy that he had taught Rhella a lesson: a lesson that he wasn’t as weak as she perceived. A reminder to her that he cannot be easily manipulated as she once thought.
He had enchanted the whole house beforehand as he had planned to go outside even before that unexpected fight, though it was expected nonetheless. With his adoptive sister’s temper, it is very easy to spark a fight with her just like lighting a match.
Leo smiled. His smile was victorious. For the first time in forever, he had won a fight with Rhella without using that much power during the encounter. All he used was his tongue and eyes and stone-cold face.
He spotted a beautiful wine-red-haired girl who entered his favorite beer house. Leo loved redheaded women. Even in a distance, he could see the woman’s bouncing round breasts that utterly made the blade between his legs as hard as a boulder.
“Beautiful girl,” Leo whispered as he walked to the beer house as well, whistling. He immediately looked for that lovely woman.
“There she is.” After a few seconds of roaming his eyes, Leo finally located that gorgeous lady whose dress was his favorite color—burgundy.
“Hello sexy!”
Before she could reply, his hands already slid onto her ass, squeezing it in order to let the woman know that he really is facing and standing next to him.
Leo caressed her open back in order to let Rosette know that this miraculous encounter—a coincidence as they say—is real and is not just a crafted illusion.

“No need to hide who you are, love. I already know. Everything. All of you.”
Leonardo Richards immediately drinks the bloody mary in just one shot, without taking his eyes off of her.
“Leo…” Heavens, her voice. It was indeed heaven and ethereal and angelic and beautiful. All of those.
After almost an eternity, he had finally heard her voice. After so many goddamn years, his ears finally heard Rosette's voice again. His beloved’s voice.
Rosette. His pumpkin, his lover, his best friend, his bed partner, his stress reliever.
“Rosette…” He just says her name in the same tone as hers; decadent and soft, but kind.
“Please, Leo. Let me explain—”
“No need for that, Rosette.” Her eyes went wide with that statement of his. “I already knew everything, even without my sister’s help.”
“Rhella. She’s—I-uhmm,” Rosette took a deep breath first. “Your kind is my enemy, Leo. You are our enemies.”
“I know. Why do you think I meet you here, then?”
Rosette was about to reply but Leo resumed speaking. “That man invited you here, I paid him. And this beer house…” He roamed his eyes around, then winked to the bartender.
“I own everything in this place. The lights in the ceiling that makes you see, the chair you sat on, and that cocktail you’re drinking. I own this place.” Leo’s voice seemed to be still wholly conscious despite the fact that he had already gulped three shots of bloody mary.
“I am a freaking witch. You know Ros—”
“Leo!” He was astonished by her voice. “You’re already drunk.”
But Leo…he just smiled as if he was just a sane, old, lovesick man. “I know, honey.”
Rosette tried to stand but Leo grabbed her arm. She tried to conjure an illusion but some greater, supernatural force kept her from manifesting her powers.
“Poor love…” Leo then caressed her cheeks. Rosette flinched at that as his finger was cold as ice. “You can’t summon your powers, can’t you?”
“What have you done?! Bring me back my magic!” Rosette demanded.
His finger slid down in between her breasts. “Calm down, Rosette. I missed you. That’s why I’m caressing you and stroking your body with the finger that bears the obsidian ring.”
Rosette gaped. She didn’t expect that Leo would really temporarily make her vampire magic unavailable.
“Just think of us that we’re still the same. That I am not a witch and you are not a vampire and we are still on our honeymoon stage.”
“Let me go, Leo!”
He just grinned—wickedly. “No, Rosette. You are mine. I have crossed oceans of time just to see you and caress you and hear your voice. I will not let you go again.” His smile was a grin of victory. No one can describe the emotions filling him but him only.
“Do you know the effect of an obsidian ring on a vampire, Leonardo? It doesn’t only temporarily block a vampire’s power from manifesting. It can also render me unconscious for a time!”
Leonardo Richard’s smile grew wider. “That’s exactly the point darling…”
And Leo was still caressing her when she became unconscious. Even when he carried her to his car that was parked behind the beerhouse in a very dark place, Leo’s hands seemed to not quit stroking his beloved’s skin—savoring each second his finger had traced.

She is fucked up. Rosette has flunked. That man who invited her to this place was a witch.
When she opened her eyes, she discerned that there are things far worse than being lured by an enemy in an old-looking beerhouse.
“Hello, Rosette.” Leo’s smile greeted her. He was on top of her, unaware of what he was doing.
“Fuck!” exclaimed Rosette. She was unconscious. She knew she was. The reek of alcohol and the taste of it was still on her system. She could tell it. And she could tell that Leo was drunk as well.
“Yeah, babe. That’s exactly what I’m doing.”
Leo’s grin made her anxious for a bit. She looked down and saw the snake had already entered the cave.
“Alright.” That word was a secret signal between them. It’s more of a sex language between them, a word that means that she’s giving him a permission for him to continue, to resume.
“Alright,” Leo breathed.
She tried to relax her body. Rosette was lying down on the backseat. Leonardo moving inside her. She doesn’t know if she can really relax and remain serene when the fact that her ex-husband, who is a freaking witch, is making love to her. In the middle of the night. The time where the creatures of the night are at power. The time that witches, vampires, werewolves, and even healers are awakened, reigning and strolling the evening as if the night is their kingdom.
She barked at Leo to be faster. He obeyed like a dog on a leash. Rosette smiled while listening to his moans. “You haven’t changed a bit, darling.”
“So are you, my love.” Leonardo lowered his face to kiss her passionately.
“Does your sister know that—”
“No.”
“Then you still are the Leonardo Richards I married then,” Rosette stated with a smile.
“I hope I can say the same for you, dearest.”
Her brows arched. “What do you mean by that?”
Leo stopped and pulled out his dick before replying. “Every time I look at you, all I see is the memory of you—a young woman whose face is as old as an elderly grandmother. You have changed very much, Rosette. If not for a tip from a mortal friend, I wouldn’t recognize your youthful appearance. You. Have. Changed.”
Rosette pursed her lips. “I may be the Witch King…” He said into her mouth; their faces are only an inch away. “But my kind will still kill me if they find out that I have been bedding the mortal enemy of the Heathens.”
She moved further from him. “So this is our first and last then.”
“Yes,” he answered. “This shall be my hello and your goodbye.”
They kissed again. Their lips and tongues and mouths are still entwined with one another. They didn’t stop for a minute. And another another. Then another minute.
Rosette can no longer hold her urge and leaped on top of Leo, orchestrating this sensual and primeval dance that normal people called as lovemaking.
She doesn’t care what others think. He doesn’t give a damn what his people think—at least for now.
No. Rosette and Leonardo will savor their epic reunion until the dawn breaks. Knowing that when the sun shone on the morning sky…it is the signal for their perpetual separation.
A reunion that made Leonardo yearned for a couple of years only to be separated once again in a matter of hours.
This is the life of a Creature of the Night. One may be immortal, an individual who has an unending life. Despite their joys and pleasure being unlimited, their pain and sorrows are with you for eternity too.
Life is indeed unfair. Even for Leonardo and Rosette Richards, who’s a witch and a vampire respectively.
