Gu Juexi pushed Ye Yuwei’s hand away unhappily.

“Acting up again?” Ye Yuwei asked sarcastically, her hand suspended mid-air.

Yes, he was acting up but only because he was jealous.

He had no idea whose number that was but the call wouldn’t have gone on for five minutes if it was just a wrong number. On top of that, the call was made from the US.

Ye Yuwei wasn’t bothered by Gu Juexi’s behavior. She just took the fruits that she bought and went to wash them.

Ye Yuwei responded without stopping to walk to the bathroom. She took out a plate and turned on the tap, then asked when Gu Juexi didn’t say anything: “What is it? Spit it out.”

Gu Juexi’s brows knitted together. “Who called you yesterday?”

Ye Yuwei stopped washing the fruits and dried her hands with a towel while walking out of the bathroom. “You checked my phone?” Ye Yuwei asked as she picked up her phone and saw the call history with Qian Yikun after she unlocked it.

Gu Juexi’s expression was still menacing.

“What were you trying to do, Gu Juexi?” Ye Yuwei asked as she deleted the call history.

“I am jealous,” Gu Juexi growled and Ye Yuwei fell silent.

What did he mean? Why was he being loud when she should be the one raising her voice?

And so confidently admitting to being jealous, how was she supposed to react to that?

“It was Qian Yikun,” said Ye Yuwei honestly, “he said he is transferring back to China.”

Gu Juexi looked at Ye Yuwei crossly, then grabbed her wrist when she turned to leave. “Stay away from him, don’t you know what he is up to?”

Ye Yuwei looked back at the jealous man and suddenly felt that maybe it wasn’t such a big deal that Gu Juexi had looked at her phone. “How do you know my passcode?”

“The birthday of our children. I wouldn’t ask if I had an IQ like yours,” said Gu Juexi complacently.

The smile on Ye Yuwei’s face faded. She looked at the man in front of her and put her hands on Gu Juexi’s shoulders.

“Gu Juexi, no one could beat you if there was a competition for being annoying,” said Ye Yuwei through gritted teeth. How did this man speak with such confidence after getting caught looking at her phone?

Gu Juexi frowned and gripped Ye Yuwei’s wrist even tighter. “You can check my phone anytime, it is not even locked. So why can’t I look at yours?”

Ye Yuwei felt hopeless as she listened to Gu Juexi.

“So what did Qian Yikun say to you?” Gu Juexi continued in a jealous tone.

“He offered to buy us a meal. Weren’t you the one who said that it is rude to touch someone else’s phone without permission, Gu Juexi?” Ye Yuwei smiled and asked coldly.

Gu Juexi was speechless. That woman could use his past against him for the rest of their lives.

Gu Juexi looked at Ye Yuwei walking to the bathroom and began to agree with what Ye Yuwei once said – who can be spared from heaven’s reincarnation?
