On the way home, Ye Yuwei received a call from Xiao Yaojing. A loud shriek came from the other end of the line before she could speak.

Ye Yuwei was driving while listening to Xiao Yaojing shouting. The corner of her lips curled upwards.
“Isn’t that a good thing? Otherwise your mother would urge you to go on blind dates again. The last time I met your mother, she asked me to set up a date for you.”

“Let PA Wen go instead, he’s the cause of your parents’ visit anyway,” Ye Yuwei suggested, her eyes gleaming as she waited for the green light.
“Why do I have the feeling that you are up to no good?” Xiao Yaojing asked suspiciously. There was a hint of a threat in her tone.
“What are you talking about? We’re friends, aren’t we?” Ye Yuwei replied hastily.
“The we-fell-hard-for-a-guy kind of friends, you mean?”

“Ye Yuwei, keep your eyes on the road. Do you think Wen Tao has nothing better to do?” Gu Jeuxi said. He smacked her head with the documents in his hand when she wanted to speak, gesturing for her to stop talking.
