Chapter 26 Body Shot
She drove again, I just memorized the road in case I go home alone later.
"Olivia!"
I shouted as he squeezed the car into the other lane five more times! We almost scratched the previous car.
"I'll drive, I think you're drunk."
I looked at her. Her forehead was furrowed.
"What? No! How can I get drunk in one shot?"
"Then why are you driving like that?"
"That car ... I noticed earlier that it's following us."
"Huh?"
I immediately looked in the side mirror. There's this white Audi tailing behind us.
"Maybe you're just mistaken. I should have been the one driving. You're drunk."
"Seriously Cyreese? Me? Drunk on a shot? I'm not an amateur!"
I just frowned, not knowing if to believe him.
"Really Cyreese, we've been leaving Valkyrie for a while. Maybe one of those crazy stalkers."
I looked at the Audi in the rear view, I forgot in my mind what I was thinking. That can't be. In the amount of people with cars like this. That was years ago. It's impossible for me to even see that here.
"We don't have any."
She chuckled. I almost lost my breath at the twists and turns Olivia made. Lot's of horn that we received because of his overtaking. And in the end the white car behind us disappeared. She was overjoyed when we arrived at the destination, complimenting herself that she lost the stalker.
"Maybe it's just the same route."
She stared at me and went to the entrance, He handed the key to the valet before directing the entrance. Compared to before this place is more solemn. People are more minimal but for me it's still a lot. Not as wild as the people we last went to. I quenched when I saw Olivia touched the bouncer's arms before coming inside.
Here she comes. The place is dark, but just enough for me to see people. There's this music but not that loud unlike the music in the Valkyrie. I just followed Olivia onto a C-type leather sofa. There are many like that there and he-his group of people.
She turned to the table where his friend's group was. She immediately embrace her friend. Then his beautiful friend caught my attention and smiled at me. I did the same, I greeted her. His wife, who was next to him, just hugged me.
Apart from the two there is nothing familiar to me. Now I know why Olivia said that I should find my "flavor" here.
Too many bachelors are in here, women I can no longer determine if they are okay or not. Whether regular, customer or worker as well. Too liberated. Some are almost making out. Jeez, I can't help but curse Olivia.
Lourd came to my mind, if he saw me here, he would have dragged the nail earlier. Or maybe I won't get here because he won't allow it. Several snacks are placed on the round table. This table is pretty quiet not because they're having some sort of prayer meeting or what, no. They are far from being holy.
The couple has almost exchanged faces with so much closeness to each other. While others with them are the same. A woman is even in her arms. I played innocent, I wish I wasn't wearing a contact lens anymore. Olivia escorted me to another table there was more noisy, she introduced me to every friend she could meet.
"This is Cyreese, a friend of mine."
"Oh! The model!"
They are not that heavy to socialize. They are friendly, what else can Iexpect? I guess I'm the only one who got lost here, of course they know how to socialize. We also stayed at that table for a long time, actually I wanted to stay here more than the silent table we went because I kinda didn't like what I saw there.
I laugh whenever they have things to do. They are so active, like Olivia combined. Eventually, they agreed to take a body shot. I immediately excluded myself. They did a lot of teasing to get me to agree. Olivia is not helping me at all she's busy chatting with her friends in this table.
"I don't drink, I'm sorry."
"Just one shot Cy! A welcome drink won't hurt you."
The sweet voice of the girl in front of me. I will accept that very little. Fortunately, my neighbor Liam caught up with me. They booed him, I just laughed at them. A loud upbeat music covered the whole venue. The people suddenly became wild. I just winced when Olivia stood up and started grinding with her friend. I just sat and the others followed the swing while just sitting.
I look like a bamboo tree seated in this couch.
"Are you uncomfortable?" I narrowed my eyes and brought my face close to Liam's because I couldn't hear him. He put his mouth to my ear.
"Are you uncomfortable?"
I raised my hand and shook my head.
"No, I'm fine."
"I'm sorry they are this wild. You seem the quiet type."
Liam seems fine. He looks descent and respectful. Keeping up with her friends others have a partner she doesn't have. But I was impressed by the way he interacted with them.
"It's okay, I'm used to Olivia." I laughed. His warm smile showed up on what he said.
"Liam, your turn!" Liam turned around as the glass of tequila was handed to him. They're still into this body shot. Liam looked around. But for a few seconds he swallowed his grip. His friends complained again.
"Shut it, Cyreese is alone." He shook while sipping the lemon.
"Oh no Liam, I'm okay. Just do whatever you want to do."
He shook his head, looking his face again in the direction of my ear because of the loudness of the ringing.
"I don't want to do body shot."
I looked at him and chuckled. He put his index in his lips telling me to keep it a secret. I chuckled at him too. The night deepened and only noise was biting all around. Olivia is out of my sight. One second she's not here and another second she's back again.
She's looking tipsy, says who that she wants me here because she doesn't have company. He's leaving me now!
Good thing, Liam is here. We pretty much talking about simple things and stuff, he's comfortable to talk to. Our table was still noisy, I looked at Jade's table and saw that they were still quiet, I only saw a few women standing and some bachelors dancing. Jeez.
"Cyreese, one last. Drink or body shot!"
I was caught off guard, a few more times I denied it and a few more times Liam trussed me. I was feeling sorry because I can feel that Liam is getting tipsy too.
Looks like I can't deny this one anymore.
"But ... I don't really-"
"First and last shot." I bit my lip when she offered the drink in front of me. I rolled my eyes, I just went back so I was at the other table, there was no one insisting.
