150 - The chapter where Addison loses control - II

It wasn't long before Savannah Hill appeared in our field of vision, looking surprised to see me there.

" 'They're looking for Audrey,” Susan turned to the other.

" 'I'll deal with it, go do something else.”

" 'Who's that? " Addison whispered to me.

"Savannah Hill, the vice president of the sorority," I whispered back, noticing the glint in Addison's eye.

Susan turned away from the door against her will, giving us a nasty look before running up the stairs.

" Camille, what are you doing here? Who's that? " Savannah stepped out, partially closing the door behind her as she alternated her gaze between us.

" My name is Addison Miller and I'm Rose's Mother. And as for Camille, she's here to try and keep things under control," Addison answered for me, crossing her arms as she faced the girl.

" The mother? " Savannah widened her eyes.

"Yes, the mother... Why the surprise? Didn't you think her parents would come with everything that happened? Guess what, we're here, and while Jackson is taking care of the legal part on campus, I decided to come and settle it personally with the two girls I know are stalking my daughter," Addison was emphatic.

Savannah shifted uncomfortably, casting a brief glance at the interior of the house through the open crack behind her before turning to us.

"Look, I know it was crappy what that guy did, but we...."

" It wasn't crappy, it was a crime. And I know that guy wasn't the only one involved.”

" Crime? " Savannah seems to have paled a little at that sentence.

" 'In case you don't know, slander and libel is a crime,' I point out, 'and so is spreading intimate videos.”

"But…”

" But you were dumb enough to do that to a girl who has a father and a stepmother who are great lawyers and a mother who is completely insane. And guess what, we're going to find out every single person who was involved in this shit and I'm not going to rest until I shut this joint down " Addison punctuated in a low and threatening tone of voice " now, I'm going to ask you one more time, where is Audrey and Alicia?”

The poor girl seemed to have lost the ability to speak as she stared at us, and before she could recover, a voice sounded from inside the house.

" Sav, who's there? " Audrey practically shouted, causing her friend to open the door, giving us the sight of the girl walking down the stairs to the entrance hall, closely followed by Alicia.

" It wasn't crap, it was a crime. Allie's gaze soon settled on Addison, and her face acquired a frightened expression, while Audrey just looked confused by our presence. Without waiting any longer, Addison decided to lead the way, bumping into Savannah to enter, and she didn't even try to stop us, still stunned by everything Addison had said earlier.

" 'Alicia, just the person I was looking for,” Addison quipped.

Allie finished walking down the stairs, stopping a few meters away, crossing her arms and wrinkling her nose, acquiring an arrogant pose to hide her discomfort with the woman's presence.

" Looking for me for what?”

Addison approached the girl, who struggled to keep her pose and not move away from the woman. The music that used to liven up the room had stopped and several girls who lived there had gone to the Hall to see what was going on.

" You know very well " my friend's mother smiled.

"If you're here waiting for me to tell you I'm sorry your slut daughter decided to enter the adult film industry, it's not going to happen," she quipped with a mocking expression on her face.

A laugh erupted from Addison's lips next, confusing everyone who was watching us. Then, without warning, a slap sounded. Allie screamed and staggered for a few inches, before losing her balance, falling to the floor after Addison hit her in the face with all her might with the back of her hand.

" Oh my God, have you gone mad? " Allie put her hand to her face, looking up in amazement.

Still laughing, Addison reached up to her, grabbing a fistful of blonde hair, before landing another slap on the girl.

" Stop it, what do you think you're doing? " Audrey shouted, and around us, despite everyone looking alarmed, no one dared to interfere, probably due to the fact that Savannah had whispered an order for no one to get involved.

" I'm doing what I should have done a long time ago " Addison let go of Allie's hair, pushing her to the ground with force, making the girl hit her face, which was already bloody because of a nosebleed.

" 'I'm calling the police, you can't come into our house and assault one of our sisters! " Audrey raised her voice a few octaves, getting Addison's attention.

She stood up, walking over to the sorority leader, while a girl ran over to Allie with a handkerchief to wipe the blood from her nose.

" 'You'd better call it even,” Addison muttered.

" 'Do you think I'm joking? I'm going to…”

Before she could finish her sentence, Addison clenched her fist, hitting the girl in the nose with a punch. Audrey brought her hand up to her nose, screaming in pain as she staggered backwards. But that didn't stop Addison from pushing the girl, who ended up falling on her back, giving Addison the chance to sit on her torso, slapping her face as she tried to defend herself with her hands.

Ok, this was over the line, if I didn't stop her, we would end up in jail, and I really preferred to keep my criminal record clean!

" Addison, enough! " I went to her, trying in vain to get her off the girl.

But I didn't have the strength to get her off, and I was about to go into despair, when a hand closed on my wrist, pulling me away from the woman. Christian had a tired expression on his face, and just pushed me away enough for Jack to have room to work. He wrapped an arm around the mother of his daughter, pulling her off the girl, who soon sat up, her bottom lip bleeding and starting to swell, her face scratched and hair messy.

" Next time you decide to mess with some girl, you better make sure her mom isn't a complete crazy! " Addison shouted as she was dragged away by the man.

" Addie, that's enough! " Jack growled, having a hard time holding her back.

" 'It's not going to stay like this, my parents…”

"You can say whatever you want to your parents, because I should have beaten them up a long time ago, maybe they'll raise a decent human being", Addison yelled in response, being restrained by Jack who stopped her from advancing on the girl once again.

"Camille, get them all out of here now," Savannah gave me a meaningful look.

I grabbed Christian's hand, who seemed lost with the whole situation, pulling him out while Jack dragged Addison.

Outside the house, Jack let go of the woman, putting himself between her and the path that led back to the house.

" Addison, enough! Have you lost your mind? " he growled.

" Yes, I lost it when I found out what they did to my daughter!”

" And how is being arrested going to make your daughter feel? " he challenged the woman.

" 'Come on, I know you can convert jail into community service and anger management therapy,” she challenged him.

I couldn't believe how much Rose resembled her mother, not physically in that they were very different, but in that they were not identical in appearance but in personality. In fact, Rose seemed to be the perfect blend of both parents.

" Get in the car.Give Brigitte's key to Davis," Jack muttered before turning to me, "Cuttie, you can go back with him.”

I nodded and it wasn't long before we were both in the car heading back to our house. Christian looked exhausted by everything that was happening and I couldn't judge him for it.

" How was campus? "I decided to try to strike up a conversation to lighten the mood.

" Well, I found out first hand why Mr. Campbell got a job at one of the biggest law firms in the state," Christian muttered as he drove back home.

" If those two were a couple.”

" 'They do enough damage being just friends,' Christian returned.

We were silent for the short drive home, and after giving Theo a brief explanation of what had happened, I left, settling onto a bench on the porch and enjoying the solitude while watching the early evening movement.

It didn't take long for Addison to open the door and see me sitting next to her, silently watching the movement just like I was doing.

" Is she awake yet? " I looked around for any positive news about my friend.

" yes, she was a little bewildered, so Davis decided to take her for a relaxing bath. Both Jack and I don't want to know any details about the methods he's going to use to make her relax." Addison grimaced a little, causing me to laugh slightly.

She sure hated sharing the house with those two, because when they got excited it was hard to pretend not to hear anything.

Just watching the night and all the neighborhood residents passing by looking oblivious to the drama that was unfolding inside that house.

"I'm sorry if I scared you earlier, Jackson is right, I completely lost control", Addison sighed after a while in silence.

"Ahh don't worry about it, I thought it was... pretty cool.”

That sentence made the woman give me a questioning look, raising both eyebrows.

" What? 'I thought it was nice how you protected Rose. Both of you! 'I wish I had parents like that,” I shrugged.

" Crazy parents?”

"Parents she can count on for everything," I corrected her, "Rose even told you how many times she had sex with Christian in the beginning, and I... “

I shut my mouth, letting out a long sigh as I thought about how closed-minded my mom was when it came to anything sex-related.

"You..." Addison urged me on.

"I couldn't even tell her I lost my virginity," I admitted.

"Ohhh…”

Addison let out in an understanding tone and for a few seconds, we were silent again, while in my mind I was reproaching myself for having revealed something like that to my friend's mother.

What was I thinking?

" Camille, can I ask you a question? " Addison spoke up.

" Of course.”

" Do you take any birth control? " Addison went straight to the point, making my face turn red immediately!

" Ahh, no I... I don't know which one to take and I've never been to a gynecologist and...'.

I began to fumble as I tried to explain my situation, but what could I say? I only had access to the medical clinic on campus and I didn't want anyone who knows me to suspect something like that.

" But Theo and I have been careful " I tried to reassure her.

" Tell you what, Cutie. I'm going to make an appointment for you in Rochester and I'm going to come with you. No one has to know, okay? " Addison offered me a reassuring smile before standing up.

" Okay…”
