#211 - Escape and Encirclement

"How do you feel?" Nick Fury asked.

"Not good."

"Not great."

"It hurts a lot."

The answers were similar, and you could tell just by looking at them, but even Iron Fist, who was in the worst shape, didn't look scared.

Fury secretly breathed a sigh of relief in his heart. This was what he was most worried about. Fury was afraid that this blow would be too great for them and would directly ruin their morale. If that happened, they wouldn't just be unable to become superheroes, but even their daily lives would be affected.

"Looks like you guys are still full of energy," Fury said without changing his expression.

"I'll communicate with your families and schools. You'll stay at S.H.I.E.L.D. for the next week to recover."

They could have a week off from school, but no one cheered. After all, they were all injured and in pain. Plus, they had almost been killed. Even the most thick-skinned people couldn't get excited at this time.

Before Fury could continue, the sound of machine gun fire came from behind him. It seemed that they had engaged in battle over there as well.

Fury turned around, wanting to observe the battle, but the scene before him shocked him. There were supposed to be two people in the encirclement, but now there was only one. The remaining person was Daimon, who was using an energy shield to protect himself from the storm of bullets, glaring angrily at the surrounding fighter jets.

"What happened?" Fury quickly asked the agents guarding him.

The agent replied, "The person with the helmet suddenly attacked the fighter jets. The fighter jets returned fire and hit the target."

"Where's the target?" Fury frowned. He didn't see the other person.

"Fell into the ground," the agent pointed to a large hole not far from Daimon, which Daimon had just created with lightning, and it was right in the encirclement.

Fury knew something was wrong as soon as he saw it, and immediately said, "Take a team down to check, and be careful that they don't escape."

"Yes!" The agent took the order and immediately led a team downstairs.

Daimon was very angry. Kahn running away was already bad enough, but now these machine guns were trying to stop him, which made him even more furious.

"Spell Reflection!" Daimon shouted, and the reverse magic followed.

The people didn't understand what he meant. After all, in English, this was clearly not a normal word. They didn't understand what Daimon was saying and thought he was making some unknown prophecy.

Suddenly, the bullets fired from the machine guns froze in mid-air, and then flew back at an even faster speed, destroying the fighter jets surrounding Daimon one by one.

The agents piloting the fighter jets were well-trained and ejected from the fighter jets at the first moment, avoiding the tragedy of the planes crashing and people dying.

Unfortunately, Daimon was not a kind person. He knew that based on Kahn's skills, the amount of time he had been held up was enough for Kahn to escape, which made him even more angry. He needed to vent now, and the surrounding agents were the best choice. After all, if it weren't for them, Kahn's head would have been taken off by him now.

Daimon clapped his hands in front of his chest. The energy shield that was originally surrounding him twisted and turned into a halo surrounding him. Daimon clapped his hands again, and the halo suddenly exploded into beams of light blades, slashing towards the agents.

"No!"

The five-person team widened their eyes, wanting to stop all of this from happening, but their injuries were too severe. Even Peter, who was the least injured, couldn't catch up.

Fury's expression was solemn. Suddenly, several twisted lightning bolts struck down from the air, shattering the light blades one by one. After the dust settled, several explosions followed, and Fury's expression eased.

Daimon didn't pay attention to those ordinary people, but looked up at the sky, where there was an opponent that even he had to take seriously.

"Boom!"

Another thunderclap illuminated the face of the person who came. It was Thor, holding his divine hammer, looking down on Daimon with the posture of a god.

"You treacherous villain!"

The divine hammer swung down, and a thunderbolt followed, rushing towards Daimon.

Daimon grinned and laughed, raising his hands flat, and a thick stream of energy burst out from his hands, colliding with the lightning. With a "boom", it was evenly matched.

"Surrender!" Fury shouted at Daimon.

"More superheroes will be coming next. You have no chance."

"That's not necessarily true." Daimon still looked like he had everything under control. He still had a trump card that could change the battle, which was Yang Le's power. As long as he used Yang Le's power, he wouldn't be afraid of even a hundred Thors.

But Daimon didn't dare, because he had just borrowed power from Yang Le. Daimon was afraid that Yang Le would think he was an incompetent subordinate if he borrowed his master's power so frequently.
