"That's fantastic, Gwen! Even after practicing for so long, your drumming is as powerful as ever."

After the song finished, Mary Jane looked at Gwen in astonishment. It was hard to imagine how such a slender girl could possess such stamina and explosive power. Her surprise was mixed with joy because Gwen was their band's drummer.

"I could do this all day," Gwen said casually, twirling her drumsticks.

"That drummer from Midtown High's band can't even compare to you," Betty said, curling her lip dismissively.

"He's a guy, but his drumming is so weak. Frankly, Gwen's stage presence alone blows him out of the water."

"Bands are all about the live performance. I believe that once they see us perform, even those old fogeys at the school will know who should be on stage at the dance."

Glory looked very confident, as if victory was already in her grasp.

"And we have such an amazing practice room," Betty said, placing her hands on her chest like a lady in an old movie.

"It's so wonderful, I could faint."

"We have Mr. Osborn to thank for that," Mary Jane said with a smile.

Mary Jane had been worried about finding a place for the band to practice. In her distress, she remembered Mr. Osborn's promise, so she tried mentioning it to Harry to see if they could rent a place. To her surprise, Mr. Osborn directly lent them a villa to use as a practice room.

"My dad said you can use this villa as you please, and don't worry about breaking anything inside, it's not worth much anyway."

When Mary Jane received the keys from Harry, she could tell that Harry genuinely didn't care about the villa. Judging by his expression, you'd think he was lending out an eraser.

Of course, even though the owner said that, Mary Jane and the others couldn't be so reckless. They had only been practicing in the villa's garage and rarely went inside.

"Has everyone rested enough? If there are no problems, how about we do it again?" Mary Jane clapped her hands and suggested.

"Oh, Happy," Mary Jane said, looking at Gwen with a teasing smile. Even Betty and Glory's expressions became strange, making Gwen feel uneasy.

"That's it, I'm not chatting anymore, everyone. I'm in a hurry, so I'll leave first." Feeling the atmosphere was off, Gwen directly chose to escape. She put away her drumsticks, and with her superhuman speed, she ran out of the garage in a few steps, not giving Mary Jane and the others a chance to tease her.

"Of course I still remember that, but for the past half month, Gwen has been coming to find you whenever she's free. I thought you two were really together."
